Steve and I had Seattle Kombucha Company Kombucha products recently. They are located in Tacoma and very close to where we live but despite that I haven't seen this company's products around town. I purchased the products online and I am so glad that I did. The Kombucha from here is simply awesome! We tried six different flavors from a twelve pack order and really liked most of what we had. Probably the flavor we liked the least was the Blood Orsnge flavor but the one that was an unexpected and pleasant surprise was the Mango flavored Kombucha. We weren't sure if we would have liked that one but we certainly did! Other flavors that we enjoyed immensely was the Ginger, the Raspberry Rose, the Lady Grey and the Ginger Jasmine. If we had to pick our favorite from the four I just mentioned I would probably go with the Lady Grey but wow, was this good Kombucha! I am looking forward to placing an order again with this company! All the Kombucha we got in our order is nonalcoholic. I believe the company doesn't offer an alcohol version of their flavors. read more

Delicious kombucha stand located in Pike Market. Samples of everything are allowed. Shipment is available to California residents. The staff is knowledgeable about their products and their kombuchas have a range from light to heavy. All of the flavors were good. My favorites were the OMG! and Cali Cola. read more

The owner and Boris went above and beyond to try their best to cater to us on a day they were closed to the public. The accommodation and tasting was very interesting as brewing Kombucha takes more precise skills than you think. I would recommend a visit here if you come to Seattle. It's about a 30min car ride from they city but well worth it. You can also pick up bottled Kombucha here as well that you can't get in stores. Enjoy! This is really good stuff, with a wide range of flavors and levels of tartness. Personally, I enjoy a pretty tart mix, and SKC has those. Bought a Groupon for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. He's in love with kombucha and since we are trying to be healthier I thought this would be a great alternative to a beer/wine tasting. Staff is upbeat and knowledgeable. We has a small group - just us four so it wasn't so much of someone just walking us through things but a discussion which i really liked! It was the owner and one employee who ran the tasting. During the tasting we went through some really unique flavors. I think there was about 15 that were set out for us to try but we ended up having more because the owner was so excited to share his new flavors (only 5 are in store but there have dozens!!) We told him what we liked and what we didn't. What we were expecting vs what we actually got. Hes really looking for feedback on his product so that was really cool to be a part of! I will say, for this, bring your own growler! At the end if you like some you can buy to take home (and the price is the same/slightly less than if you bought at the store). However if you don't bring your own growler it ends up being 15 just for that. Plus the kombucha. Also the space for the tasting is very small so get cozy if there are a lot of people. I think it would be really nice if in the summer they had tastings outside! read more

I was able to grab a kambucha from their pop up location at pike place. The flavors were unique and the samples sold me. I would love to go back and try a few more of their flavors and grab a couple to go bottles!! Definitely recommend if you like Kamubcha. read more

I purchased a tour and tasting package for my wife for Christmas. I've tried kombucha before and it's always been to vinegary for me. My wife loves it (kids can't get enough of it either) so I gave in and went with her. We arrived early to the location and found a "how to make kombucha" class just finishing up. It was a large class of 14 students (aka adults). Spent a little time talking with people and was very interested in taking that class also. You get a starter with a Scoby to take home and try. We had 3 couples in our group. Wayne, the owner of the company was our tour guide and kombucha expert. We talked about all things kombucha and how the company started and where it's going. We saw every part of manufacturing and bottling. We tasted it in different stages of fermenting. We tasted lots and I mean lots of different types and special kombuchas. Ok remember I don't like kombucha! Right, nope! I was wrong I enjoyed this brand. It was not sour or vinegary at all! I enjoyed all of the flavors and this changed my mind about kombucha forever. So much we will be getting a keg, yes a keg, of it to have on tap 24/7 at home. Now the hardest part to pick a flavor!!! We purchased 2 cases when the tour was over so we could take them home to the kids and have our own tasting at home. Also got a starter kit so my wife could play around with making some at home with the kids. I would highly recommend you take the time and enjoy some of the best kombucha I have ever had. Good product. But when we were there a few days ago at a pop up they had at pikes market, the staff was (potentially) racial profiling and only offered his time to the white customers. Meaning we walked up (two people of color), while there were no other customers and not once were we greeted or offered samples. While we stood just looking not sure how the tasting process worked a white couple walked up and was immediately greeted and questions answered with tasters. Another white female approached the stand moments later and was greeted with a sample. In the end we did end up buying some bottles bc it was a good product. But service was extremely disappointing. Regardless if we were ignored for race or thinking we couldn't pay (I honestly don't know what the issue was), profiling customers is wrong and can hurt business in the future. read more

Seattle Kombucha Company isn't a commercial entity yet, but I've attended Wayne's kombucha tour twice and each time I learned more about his manufacturing process and I get to enjoy the various stages and flavors of his kombucha recipes. If you have a chance to experience one of Wayne's tours then I'd highly recommend it. Who knows, maybe your feedback will influence one of the flavors he'll enter into the market place. read more
