    Chole Samosa Chaat
    Shaylyn K.

Ordered the chole, mango lassis, and 2 Punjabi samosas to-go. Everything was delicious. The chole had the perfect amount of chutney and paired really well with the crunchy samosa. I loved that the samosas weren't super oily and everything was seasoned well. The mango lassis were the also not super sweet which I enjoyed and you can tell it's fresh. There is street parking available, we went on a weekday and were able to easily find a spot.

I've never really thought of samosas as being anything other than appetizers. Yummy, but really just tiding you over until the main course. Seattle Samosa has proven me wrong, bringing life to this wonderful Indian treat. And they turned it into a meal in its own right! This trip I ordered two samosas: Spicy Chickpea and Spinach Paneer. The former is filled with a tasty garbanzo beans curry, and the latter the familiar Indian flavor of spinach paneer. These were then placed in a spicy potato curry. The curry is less saucy and more soupy, reminiscent of curries of the North, of Punjab or Nepal. Utterly scrumptious! And surprisingly filling. My girlfriend opted out of the curry this time, and got two samosas, the Butter Paneer and the Spicy Chickpea. These were served with sauces on the side. She loved them. I had my meal with their chai, which they brew there. A perfect chai. Not too sweet or overly milky. Really, just perfect. I even bought a bottle of their brew so I could make it at home! We like Seattle Samosa so much, we've already been three times, and doubtless will be back many more times. It's now one of my top go-to Indian places in Seattle. Don't miss it!

Incredible tasting food and a wonderful warm and inviting environment with super friendly staff.

Samosa and cilantro chutney and tamirand date chutney

As far as samosas go, some really nice execution here with the pastry which is an afterthought in most places. Here, it's flaky and somehow is able contain some sizeable fillings. I tried both the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, and between the two, I would go with the tikka masala. Each order comes with a cilantro chutney and a date chutney, both were really flavorful. Price wise, it's a bit steep - an order of 2 will be over $10 for chicken. But in a town where one can spend $12 for a beer, $20 for chicken rice or congee, or $25 for a shawarma, fries and a soda, it seems to be the going rate. There are many more varieties, and as it's right across the street from McCarthy and Schiering, I will definitely stop by and try a different one each time!

Cute stickers I picked up while I was waiting.

My first time trying Seattle Samosa and it did NOT disappoint! I tried the spinach paneer and the butter chicken. Both samosas as well as the accompanying sauces had great flavor and were very fresh. The service was efficient and friendly and I even picked up some adorable stickers from a local artist.

I thinks it's too pricey for what you get. Here's a picture of what one my $6 samosas looked like. Tasty but literally two bites.

Small samosas with no incredible powerful taste- very bland- not worth the hype. Also super expensive!

We had 10 adults and three grandchildren at the tables. Chef Michael treated the kids with respect and described each dish as it came out. We had five appetizers, a couple salads, and the main with two sides. Everything was exceptional, we are still talking about it. We will remember this meal forever. Chef Michael packed up leftovers, and clean the kitchen immaculately. We couldn't be any happier with the service and the food that we received. I cannot say enough good things about Westerly and their meal delivery service. I have been a…read moresubscriber with them for about six months now, and I have never has any issues. Their website is easy to use, and on the few occasions I've had to speak with customer service regarding a question about pausing an order or with help in regards to accommodating a nut allergy, they have been quick to respond, incredibly friendly, and very helpful. Now, let's talk about the food. Absolutely delicious! I love that they have a good mix of interesting cuisines, and that every meal is gluten and dairy free. Over the course of the six months that I have been a subscriber, I've only had about five or six meals that I didn't personally care for, and that wasn't because they weren't good, just my own personal preference. Lunch is always a delicious salad of some form (with a protein), and twice a week lunch also comes with a delicious soup. Their dressings are always so yummy, and you'd never guess they are dairy free! The dinners are SO good! I'd pick a favorite, but honestly, there have been too many to name here. Additionally, there is enough variety and variance in their menu that I've never felt bored with my meals, even after six months. I love that their packaging is 100% compostable, even the stickers they use! Another bonus is that they reuse the bags and ice packs they deliver your food in. On the days that I have a food delivery from them, I simply set the previous order's bag and ice packs outside, and they take it with them after dropping off my new order. I really love this. I have used other services in the past, but I hated all of the waste from the weekly packaging and trying to dispose of the used ice packs. I should also mention that deliveries come twice a week, so your food is always extremely fresh, and the handful of rotating delivery drivers they use are all incredibly friendly and professional. Pricing wise, I actually spend less than I do at the grocery store. I think this is because when I'm at the grocery store, I'm often tempted by all of the snacks and goodies in front of my eyes, and end up putting way more in my basket than I actually need. If you are looking for a local healthy, fresh, gluten/dairy-free, eco-friendly meal delivery service, you really need to try out Westerly!

This is the 2nd time that I have ordered from here. The last time was better but tonight's order has ensured that I will not be ordering again. The food is absolutely not worth the high prices. You could get better quality sushi from Metropolitan Market. The California and Spicy Salmon rolls were barely put together. The insides were poking out and they fell apart when I picked them up to eat them. What was the most offensive was the salmon nigiri. The rice was literally frozen and stale. The edamame was warm and not fresh. They are going to make someone sick. I hate to write a bad review for a business, but when food is this carelessly put together while having the nerve to be high priced, I feel like it is well deserved. I don't care how cute their stuff looks. The food inside is bad. Spend your money with a business that cares about their product and customers.
