These guys are top notch. What Beacon wanted $350+tax for, they charged $150 tax included. Beacon had VHS available, SSI gave us a DVD. They took their time with the camera thingy and pointed out different spots and what was going on where while they did our "sewer pipe's colonoscopy" to give you an idea what it was like. Live streaming video of you pipes in all their glory. They marked outside and let us watch as they did the sonar just to make sure we had confidence in their markings. And they do the water jet in your pipes for under $300. Don't get me started on what Beacon wanted to charge for that.... read more

Aaron is fantastic, reliable, and quick to respond. He did our inspection last July, when we bought our house, and seemed thorough and professional. We were there in person and also read his brief report, and since there was nothing wrong with our line (phew!), we never watched the included video. Almost a year later, we needed to submit the video in order to get a permit to add a bathroom. The sewer district informed us that the video quality was bad and that we needed another inspection. I emailed Aaron, he replied right away, apologized sincerely for the issue (something technical about the reason the water was too cloudy to see through, that he explained clearly but that now I can't recall), and came back out within a couple of days to redo it for free. The guy at the sewer district said the quality this time around was fantastic. Thank you, Aaron, for your commitment to your customers! I'm hoping we have no need for another inspection anytime soon, but I'll definitely be recommending Aaron to anyone who does. read more

These guys found the offsets quickly and had we used them instead of the buffoons who chipped our tub taking out the toilet and not even knowing where to begin, they would have probably found the problem 3 years ago too. Breven did a great job inspecting our sewer line. He was on time (10 min early in fact), had great equipment, and was very friendly. Our line runs through our neighbor's yard and there is a manhole in the middle. He was able to scope both uphill toward our house and downhill toward the street. He was also able to detect where the camera/probe was underground with a different detector and that enabled us to learn where the line actually runs and how deep it was underground at any point (we were not sure before). All-in-all it was a great experience and well worth the $275 I paid. read more

Aaron did three scopes in my house (long story) and he was professional, honest and reasonably priced, and he is super nice.

Nearly every year our sewer backs up due to tree roots, and we have our plumber come to cut the roots back. When I found that our plumber was out of business, I saw the excellent reviews for Budget Sewer and gave them a call. Since I simply wanted the line cleared, and not replaced, they referred me to Aaron at Seattle Sewer Inspection. He quoted me the same price as the other lowest bids to cut back the roots. I wondered how much more it would be to run a camera through the line and locate the source of the problem. Aaron said that he primarily does camera inspections, and that the price for a camera inspection would be an additional amount at the same price charged for cutting roots, but that since he would already be there, he'd cut the price for the camera inspection in half. He was able to come out the same day. Although our sewer pipe had apparently become offset and made it difficult for his equipment to push through, he persisted until the pipe was cleared and the problem area was located and marked in the yard (in case I decide to dig it up later.) And he patiently ran the camera back through the line again when I thought I had seen another spot where roots were entering. Before he left, I asked whether he could snake out a bathroom sink that had been draining progressively slower. Although it was late in the day and he typically did sewer inspections and not plumbing, he ran a 25-foot snake through the pipe, pulled out a huge clog, and charged less than I had previously agreed to pay for that. (I can't guarantee that will be the case for everyone. But his company is new, and still building a client-base.) Aaron knows his stuff, was very pleasant, and clearly explained what he was doing and why, and what all the options were. I feel secure in recommending him, and his rates are very competitive. Lastly, they've got a well-done website that clearly explains the work they do and what to expect. read more

We recently bought a 100-year-old house and at the recommendation of our agent, hired Aaron to do a sewer inspection as part of the process. His inspection found a major issue with the sewer line, which we asked the seller to take care of before we closed on the house. He explained the extent of the damage (major), estimated the cost of fixing it, and gave us a dvd of the sewer scope in case we want something really gross to watch sometime... If you're buying a house DEFINITELY do a sewer inspection. The under $200 we spent on the inspection saved us the tens of thousands of dollars it would have cost us if we were on the hook for the sewer repair. read more

Aaron did a great job scoping out a sewer of a home we're looking to buy, during the inspection period. He was prompt with returning calls and showed up on time, early even, to the job site. Very thorough in explaining exactly where the problems were with the sewer--taking the time to go through the line and explain what corrosion looked like, and what could be done to fix the issues (but not recommending any company in particular to do so, which I appreciated). His camera could not get through a huge root ball in the line, however, but that was a limitation of the equipment and/or sewer line itself, more than his expertise. He showed us exactly where the root ball was located, and at what depth, so that we could show the seller what the issue was. Great service, and great bargain as well... $150, way cheaper than what I've seen Roto Rooter charging for the exact same operation ($400+!). read more
