One of the best spots at the resort to relax, enjoy the views, sip great drinks, and listen to live music. We stopped by a few times during our trip for drinks and appetizers and it was always a great time. The cocktails are delicious, the wine list is solid, and food was tasty. I love that the live music changes nightly and that Fridays feature hula dancers, which is such a fun touch. We never had to wait too long for a seat, but I recommend arriving just before 5:00pm if you want a front-row view of the music. My husband and I had a beautiful time here. One of my favorite memories from our Kauai trip. It's all open air so you can feel the breeze, the light rain, and the live music. So dreamy!!! We sat at a high top table and enjoyed cocktails and appetizers which were pretty decent sized and so delicious. We weren't super hungry for a full dinner and it was perfect. Seaview Terrace has gorgeous views but is sketchy, expensive, and inconsistent. Cocktails are $24. My 7yr old daughter's Keiki cheeseburger was the size of a half dollar - literally a single, itty bitty slider-type cheeseburger you would see as maybe one of three or four on an adult appetizer shareable plate - but there was only one of these teenies for her entire meal. Maybe enough for a 9 month old but no one older than that. Meanwhile my son's Keiki chicken tenders meal was more than ample, so go figure. Also, my husband and I came here for drinks and dessert by ourselves one night and we were initially charged for a much more expensive type of whisky than my husband ordered (this was corrected once he went over the receipt carefully), and a single scoop of ice cream is $10 despite the item on the menu seemingly implying you get two, ie: "sorbet & gelato". I just feel overall tricked and conned being at this restaurant. It's at an expensive resort, for which we are fortunate enough to pay for with points, and feel like we are being taken advantage of with insane expenses, very mid food, and tiny portions. Do your research and go off site to find better food and prices, with similar dramatic ocean vistas. read more

It was our first night in Kauai and because we didn't have reservations, they were very busy, so we waited for a table. We sat outside and it was already sunset and dark so we couldn't see anything out in the ocean. In the day hours, the view is gorgeous but I don't dine at restaurants for the view, it's the food. Fantastic place! We typically prefer non-hotel restaurants while on vacation, but this was restaurant was fabulous! We walked into the restaurant with no reservations and they were so accommodating. The view was beautiful and the live music was just setting up as we were seated. The musician turned out to be a wonderful young man playing the guitar and singing awesome songs. Very entertaining. The menu had a great selection for our family. We even had one family member who has dietary restrictions and the chef was very accommodating with his needs. Plus, his meal was delicious despite the limited items and spices he can eat. The rest of the party ordered the fish of the day (ono), truffle burger and mentaiko pasta. For cocktails, we ordered the skinny pina, cucumber elderflower collins, classic manhattan and lemonade. We were too full to order dessert but continued to enjoy the wonderful live music. Center stage in the Grand Hyatt's Kauai Resort, this is the place that you will want to have your coffee, light breakfast, or read your favorite book every morning that you wake up in Poipu. Food was mid. Really missed the mark on flavor. Cesar salad had anchovy filets right on top and the flavor overpowered the salad. They should have been lightly marinated in the lemony cesar dressing. Beef, sweet pea and lobster ravioli were so bland I don't understand how. Lilikoi cheesecake was wrapped in rice paper, rolled like spring rolls and deep fried. Seaview Terrace at the Grant Hyatt Kauai is THE place for sunsets, views, and cocktails! I came here on a girls trip after spending the day at the Grand Hyatt's spa, and my group was immediately seated on the central medallion of the patio overlooking Poipu Beach. We got to watch the beautiful sunset and listen to live music over pupus and cocktails. I would say the drinks were great, and the food was above average. You're paying for the ambiance and views. The Seaview Terrace is one of the main dining options at the grand Hyatt. The menu is rather limited. First thing is the surf and turf ravioli was disgusting. That meal was half eaten. The truffle burger had not truffles, just some Safeway truffle oil. The staff are friendly and the view is killer. But the food is straight garbage. There a not enough expletives to cover how this food tasted. We were actually asking ourselves if we were at the right resort. A level 7 Hyatt with the grossest mattress pad food you could imagine. The music went along with the rather geriatric crowd. Staff were A+ friendly. Too bad, even mediocre food would have scored this meal a win. We did not eat on resort after that experience. read more

Sea view Terrace is located near the lobby area at Grand Hyatt. The view doesn't get any better as it overlooks the ocean with plenty palm trees swaying in the wind. The service was slow. However, it's vacation so nobody is in a real rush other than hangry tummies. In the mornings, they serve Starbucks coffee along with usual pastries and spam misubi (of course! It's Hawaii!). In the evening, they have live entertainment. The night we were there, there was an awesome band playing ukulele. It was really entertaining. The food was good as well. We had club sandwich, poke and a salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. I also had skinny pina to drink; highly recommend it. They don't skimp on alcohol in their mixed drinks. Enjoy!
