For drinks we had the Mai Thai and the pina colada, both of which were the best drinks we've had so far on the island! Their Mai Thai has a guava foam on top. Delish! For our entrees we got the macadamia crusted mahi (amazing). I subbed the rice for the garlic mashed potatoes and it was delish. First time here and it was pretty good. Busy resort-area restaurant feel, so there are a lot of tourists. Eclectic American fare, ranging from salads and burgers to pasta and steak, plus sushi and Asian-inspired appetizers. They have an extensive drink and cocktail menu in which I did not partake, but it's there. I opted for the blackened chicken Alfredo (full size), which was pretty hearty. There are tons of fried bacon in here, which makes it a little more indulgent, so be warned if heavy cream and Parmesan is already a lot for you. The kung pao chicken lettuce wrap is the unheralded star here, in my opinion. Sushi is okay, but there are other places in the Poipu area who don't specialize in sushi that make better sushi. Server gave us forks to eat the sushi, which I thought was odd. Pretty good restaurant with a nice, busy feel and good staff. We stopped by this place the first night we got to Kauai. Walked around the shopping center and saw there happy hour and there was room at the bar. And we are sure glad we there. I have to start with Seth the bartender. A class act and a genius behind the bar. Super nice... open to make anything... and made sure we were always taken care of. What a great guy and a true blessing to any customer who comes up to the bar area. Good variety of drinks available. And with Seth anything is possible. Food was good. Happy Hour menu has some good options. We got the gyoza and roll. Both were OUTSTANDING. Highly recommend. The ambiance is awesome. Great decor and lighting. Very welcoming. Plenty of staff around. This place was so awesome we visited two more times during our stay on the island. My wife loved the Poke. My only complaint is the pricing. Some of the items are pretty high. Two examples is we ordered the full size salad and I asked if they gave me the smaller salad because the portion size was not that much for the price. The other example is the quesadilla for $28. A really solid stop for drinks and snacks with a decent happy hour. We popped in here around 4:30 on a weekday and were able to get seated right away, it definitely filled up by the time we left so a reservation might be wise if you're coming at a later time. We grabbed the famous mai tai with guava foam. The foam itself was really delicious although the mai tai itself was definitely on the sweet end. We ordered the dragon roll, poke, and potstickers from the happy hour menu. After being seated, we were told they don't do chicken wings anymore. Then take it off your menu! How hard is that? Very disappointing. So we got one of everything on the happy hour menu. We reserved a table ahead of time in hopes of getting a decent spot. We were seated right away, but had probably the worst table in the restaurant right by the entrance which was disappointing. We were seated next to a couple with a child who screamed off and on and we thought about leaving right away, however we decided to stay and give it a try. Pretty yummy spot! The coconut shrimp and dynamite crunch roll were delicious. The slaw for the coconut shrimp was super yummy too, as it didn't taste like cilantro and I hate cilantro. The lilikoi Collins cocktail did not taste like lilikoi, and the spritz did not taste a ton like POG. The "famous cowboy salad" was OK but nothing to rave about, as was the shrimp salad. We were seated right away and had great service our appetizer, the dynamite crunch roll, was good but fell apart while we were trying to consume it. It was very good though. Great food and great service. We sat outside and enjoyed a terrific dinner. We started with the hand cut fries which were terrific and had a nice garlic aioli dipping sauce. I had a Paloma to drink (ok, two) and for my main I had the Super Crunch Salad (and added some blackened chicken), which was refreshing and awesome. This restaurant's food is absolutely a 10/10!! I have celiac disease where I cannot have cross-contamination or eat gluten. Before booking our reservation, the manager said they could accommodate me and they curated a safe meal for me. I felt safe to eat here and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. With That being said, there were only a few things presented that they could accommodate me, and one I had asked about because I did not want a sandwich/burger. The drinks are amazing!! The mai tai with gauva cold foam is amazing! This place based on food is a 5/5 but i took a star off for the rudeness of the workers and feeling like my allergy/ chronic illness as a burden and like we were being difficult. It came out medium well/well done. Ahi sandwich I would pass on. You're paying for more bread than anything... even the slice of avocado was slightly bigger than the ahi. Chicken Alfredo was rich in flavors and the chicken remained moist. Chicken tenders were seasoned to give it a tiny bit of heat, which isn't bad but our order was a little over fried... batter didn't stay on the chicken with every bite. Fries on the hand, yum! Just needed a hit of more salt and they would've been perfect! Solid dining experience for any and all tourist who are visiting the island. My wife and I live up in the north shore of Kauai and always enjoy going south to have a new culinary experience outside our regular area. We tried Scotty Browns for the first time and I was super unimpressed with the Gluten Free burger. The bun that they use was super dry and crumbly. The French fries that came with the burger were soggy and not crispy. Just a terrible eating experience for a $35 burger. That's right. $35 for a Gluten free Bacon Cheeseburger that was dry and flavorless. We saw this new restaurant on our way to Merriman's yesterday so came back today for happy hour. OMG so good!!! We ordered guava foam Mai Tais (tasty), ginger gyozas and kung pao chicken lettuce wraps. The food was to die for, and our waitress, Miss Presley, was simply delightful. She was very attentive and provided just the right amount of service. She was always there when we needed her and usually right before with extra napkins and more water.
