Lunch at the hotel we were staying at was pretty pricey, so I took a walk over to Honu Cove Bar & Grill to grab some takeout to bring back for the family. It's pretty much an outdoor hut by the pool, and it did take a little while to get the food after ordering, but I'm pretty happy with my order! I ended up getting the grilled ahi tacos with fries, and they were really good! Two large tacos, and a good balance of sauce, fish, and cabbage. The keiki order of tenders and fries was very large too for a kid's meal. The pizza though I probably wouldn't get again - too doughy, and pretty small for the price. Overall a decent spot for lunch, and definitely a better deal than where we were staying, especially considering how many fries we were given with the kid's chicken tenders and ahi tacos! read more

Zada at the bar was an angel! food & drinks were great! i got a kids meal for my daughter & Kahlua Pork Nachos for the fam on happy hour.. my daughter loved her kids mac & cheese (Kraft but cooked nicely & kids love it!) w delicious french fries.. i also got her a frozen pineapple drink that she loved & spilled a little.. Let me just say it. I LOVE THIS PLACE! We got into Kauai yesterday, and because of that, we had no grocery's. We decided to look up some places to eat and this came up. It took a bit to figure out where it was, but the people there were helpful. We eventually got there, and the server gave us our menus and we ordered. She got us a place to sit, drying off the rain from the night before on the chairs. After about only like 2-5 minutes, the drinks were ready! The mango smoothie was extremely delicious, if you go there, 100% get a mango smoothie. Then, she brought out our food. I personally got the pancakes, and they were DELICIOUS. Anyways, to cut to the chase, the food was amazing, the server was helpful and kind, and the view was amazing. If I could give this 6 stars, I would. read more

I love this place! We stayed at the resort for 11 nights in 2019 and just got home from 15 nights. Its important to know that this Bar & Grill is set inside the resort which is a lot of timeshares space versus the a hotel. It sits next to the pool. It is also the only food sold on property with the next service food a 10+ minute walk over to the Hyatt or get in the car to drive a few minutes to another bar and grill. So while pricey in some ways I believe it is priced for the location and what you need. We were very happy this last trip to see the same employees from two years prior despite COVID. I find Karen, Zada, Michael, and the manage Mel to be always very friendly. It was a great feeling to have them actually remember certain details about me from two years ago (to be honest I spent A LOT of time at the bar the first trip). They have a full bar with the normal area favorite drinks but can make you up anything. Happy hour is the best time there even if the happy hour list is small it is the best drinks. They did expand from what I remembered and added a lower calorie hard seltzer in can that seem so popular these days and which I am sure for many is a welcome addition in an area so full of sugary tropical drinks. I ate quite a few breakfasts here this last trip all options being good. Did the normal quesadilla, kale nachos, or fries here and there in the afternoon. The food is good, not great, but its exactly what you expect and doesn't fall below that. I think its the people there that make this place so nice. This beachside bar has attentive staff and great happy hour specials. We've been there several times and were able to get a seat at the bar and face the ocean. As far as pool bars go, I love it. We ventured down there for a quick dinner when we first arrived. Hubs and I both got the tuna melt and my mom got the coconut shrimp. Tuna melt was flavorful and the fries were good. On a second glance, I should have also ordered the coconut shrimp because when my mom let me have one, I immediately regretted not ordering it because it was delicious. The shrimp were big and the sauce was so good! Our drinks were good too and we loved talking with Michael. We ended up going here for a quick breakfast the next morning before heading up to Waimea Canyon and Michael was there again. He's literally so awesome. The chef behind the counter even came out for a little while to talk to us since it was a little slow. Get the Tahitian Toast, it's delicious. It's a no frills bar but the food and drinks are good. Last call is 07:45 PM so keep that in mind. When I come back again, I'll be sure to stop here. read more

It is a resort pool snack bar with great food. Just know what it is when you are trying to find it! It's at the pool at the Point at Poipu Diamond Resort. So seating is around the pool and on the patio area near the bar. Our favorite is the breakfast Loco Moco. Other selections are equally good and we have had most of them. Drinks of many varieties are also available. The staff is efficient and friendly and have been at the venue for years. They are mentioned in other reviews. read more

We were at a hotel down the road and looking for alternate restaurants. We found this one on Yelp and so glad we did. First Karen at the bar is incredible. She was so attentive and pleasant. The food was also very good and reasonably priced. We had the pancakes with bacon, French toast and smoothly. The portions were generous and food tasty. The smoothly was a bit overly sweet for my tastes but French toast and pancakes and bacon were perfect. We found a walkway at the beach that took as right there. A bit hard to find at first but worth the search. Definitely recommend. Props to Karen for being so pleasant and helpful. read more

This place is a diamond in the ruff! Food is great and has a variety of different stuff, even A vegetarian burger! Prices are a breath of fresh air. Very close to our resort. This place is within a private resort, by the pool area. The prices and variety at our resort are through the roof & just not worth it. I'm not usually one to complain on this app but the experience we had here was just unacceptable. We went to the bar because it says on their website that they're open for happy hour from 4-7 and we wanted some drinks. We came in at 5 on a Saturday and were waiting in line behind someone else who had a number for food. 4 different employees were standing behind the counter and not a single one addressed us, not even a hello. I understand if they close at 5 and don't do happy hour on weekends (even if it does NOT specify this in their website) but they wouldn't even look at us. Finally someone asked if they closed at 5, and all of the employees standing behind the bar laughed at us and said "haha... yeah we do." With a half hearted "sorry." The way they said it was incredibly rude and made both me and my mom feel stupid, along with the customer who was waiting for their food. I would expect more from such an expensively priced hotel. Won't be coming back here and definitely would not recommend if you're looking for good service. read more
