Great drinks and local. Always know someone coming through the door. Seasonal menu to check out with fun food and drink options. You can by a few cans of their beer to take home. Love the remodel and open space

First time at this one, been to others. We went after getting our Christmas Tree and it was a quiet day and laid back atmosphere, but the service was great and the food was awesome! If in the Gorham area looking for a good bite, give them a try!

Stopped here for lunch, and didn't realize they have a nice outside patio. It was a beautiful day out so it was nice to sit outside. They do coverage from the sun if it's a super hot day. They have a large bar. The server was friendly and prompt. I got a burger (forgot to take a picture) and it was kinda pricey for what it was but it was good. Elevated bar food, the chicken sandwich is better. I'm not a huge beer drinker so I can't comment on that but they have all kinds of drinks and wine.

Blazes Burgers - Is this the best burger spot in all of Maine?…read more861 Main St, Westbrook, ME 04092 If you're a burger lover on the hunt for bold flavors and unique toppings, Blazes Burgers just might be your holy grail. This Westbrook gem is known for its stacked burger menu, and after trying a few of their specialties, I can see why locals are obsessed. We tried three different burgers: The Pesto Burger - A 6 oz fresh patty topped with creamy pesto and your choice of cheese. Pro tip: take the kitchen's advice and add tomato for a refreshing bite that cuts through the richness. As a pesto fanatic, this one hit all the right notes for me--herby, savory, and perfectly messy. Definitely my personal fave. Crack Cheeseburger - The name doesn't lie. This beast comes loaded with grilled onions, bacon, your preferred cheese, and a feisty feta spread that brings just the right kick. Rich, indulgent, and absolutely unforgettable. Black and Blue Burger - Bacon, grilled onions, sweet bourbon sauce, and blue cheese crumbles all on a brioche bun. The sweet-savory combo is magic, and the blue cheese gives it a gourmet edge. The crack sauce deserves its own shoutout--creamy, a little spicy, and totally addictive. Pair any burger with their fries or tots and you've got yourself a seriously satisfying meal. Rating: 8/10 A strong contender for Maine's best burger, no doubt. The menu is creative, the execution solid, and the flavors linger in the best way. Whether you're a pesto person like me or all about the boldness of blue cheese, Blazes has something for you. Is this your go-to burger joint? Got a spot you think tops this? Let me know--I'm always up for a burger adventure!

Despite not being overly busy it took the waitress forever to greet us. After she took our order she said she would get us plates but never did. The wait was ridiculously long and some other woman threw a plate of skins on the table and immediately walked away. No plates. One tiny sour cream for two people. We tried to wave our waitress and this other woman down but they were too involved in personal conversation and going back into the kitchen. I had to go to the host and ask her if she could bring us plates and get our waitress, but then I noticed the plates on the shelf and was able to self serve. The hostess was able to get us the sour cream. I'm not a monster so I still tipped 20% but I low key wish the tip went to the hostess instead.

I was able to get a spot out front, plenty of street parking with no fees, and walked right in. Staff is friendly and prompt. I was able to just mozy up to the bar. Bar tender was prompt, took my order and I had a frosty drink in less than a minute. Ordered fried pickles and they were out in about three sips of my Pumpkinhead. They have a huge variety of draft, cans and plenty of alcohol to choose from. This includes, cider and GF options from lucky pigeon. The fried pickles are crispy, and the dip enhances the taste of the fried pickles. The full bar has seating on three sides and there are TVs everywhere you look. We are in the same room as the bowling lanes and there are twelve of them. There is seating in a separate room if you want. All in all a friendly, comfortable place to sit and rest your feet. The food was so flavorful, quickly prepared, and very creative with its presentation. Local sourcing and very high-quality ingredients. The service was on point, the ambiance was warm and relaxing, and the value was more than reasonable. The same meal in Portland would have easily cost forty percent more. I wish I had taken pictures of the meal, but I was tired and hungry and just forgot. My burger and fries were spot on. The fries stayed crispy from the beginning to the end. The burger meat was fresh and very tasty. The dessert was next level, and I did get a picture before eating it, lol. Whether you stay at the hotel or not, City Farmhouse is always an excellent choice.

The lunch menu appeared interesting however it took so long to get our food and when it finally was served several items that supposedly came with the meal were "unavailable". Since we were the only people in the restaurant we could not understand why it took forever to get our food. Each of us was disappointed when it did come. My fish sandwich had very little fish in it and what there was was strangely "rubbery". What would normally be an hour's lunch took two hours by the time we got our food and ate. We could not understand what was going on in the kitchen. Our server was pleasant but it did not make up for the overall experience. Will not return.

The staff were so friendly and tried to help us get a table as soon as possible. They even kicked out two women that stayed way after paying at the table for 6. Our server was so nice, knowledgeable, and tried to help in every way. We all got a drink and brunch. Everything was delicious and came out quickly after ordering. It was quiet but a great atmosphere. They were willing to accommodate minor changes to the menu. All the food was fantastic. I would definitely come back, just with a smaller party. Our first time going to brunch at The Blue Pig was a great experience…read more I assumed they would have a wait at noon on a Sunday. I called ahead to see if they would put us on the wait list over the phone. They would not. We arrived, and it was a cold day, and luckily they have space inside, with some benches and chairs, to sit while you wait. There is no host taking names. It is seat yourself in the honor system...meaning...you must pay attention to what party arrived before you, and then watch for open tables or bar stools, and seat yourself at the appropriate time without cutting other parties who were there before yours. Since this is a bit uncommon, I can see how this might cause some anxiety for people...I was thinking...will others cut in front of my party? We were a party if 3 and 3 bar stools opened up so we decide to sit at the bar. The whole restaurant definitely has a "bar/tavern" kind of ambiance to it. It does not feel like a "diner". It has a great vibe...very relaxed, neighborhood kind of a feel. The menu includes both breakfast items and lunch items...which was perfect for our party. The menu has several classic southern dishes like country fried steak with sausage gravy, chicken and pork waffles with a choice of maple syrups, and biscuits and gravy. The menu also has traditional breakfast items like egg sandwiches, and other such items. The menu includes classic brunch cocktails, a selection of beers, and several mocktails. I tried the chicken and waffles with the hot maple syrup. It was perfect. The fried chicken was crisp and in smaller size pieces which I liked. The waffles were crisp on the outside and soft on the insides, and the best part was the syrup...it was spicy and sweet and perfect! My friend tried the country fried steak with sausage gravy and biscuits. It was delicious! It was classic in every way...white gravy, but tender steak, nice biscuits. My other friend tried the steak tip sandwich. The blue pig sauce on it was delicious (very savory), and the peppers and onions were chopped into small pieces...but the steak tips were not cut up...which made it difficult to bite through the steak tips. I would have cut up the steak tips and put them back into the sandwich...but it wasn't my sandwich. The sandwich came with spiced curly fries. The fries were VERY good. The service was friendly and fast. We will definitely go back.

We booked a reservation and mentioned it being an anniversary for reasoning and they had a note at our table when we got sat down. It was a great little touch service wise that we appreciated. Which service wise our server was extremely friendly and explained specials and checked on us the right amount. Food and drink wise we started off with some cocktails to kick off our celebrating. My wife got the Blueberries & Bubbly which was blueberry infused Tito's and Prosecco with lemon and basil simple. It was a tasty drink, while I got their Strawberry-Jalapeño Margarita that was decent. It was quite strong booze wise and had a good strawberry flavor but lacked the heat I expected and had more of a pepper vegetal flavor. I would likely grab a different drink next time. We also got complimentary bread with olive oil, it was good. Then appetizer wise we wanted their Tomato & Basil Bruschetta that was fantastic! Lastly entree wise we were both wanting some pasta and settled on my wife getting Rigatoni Bolognese and me Gnocchi Mac & Cheese. The bolognese had a hearty sauce with a lot of depth of flavor thanks to beef and sausage and smoked bacon. The entree size was perfect amount for my wife. My gnocchi mac had a lot of crispy pork belly that was the second star of the dish after the well cooked gnocchi. I would say I'm not the average person portion wise so my words may not speak for many but I do wish the entree size portion for my dish was larger. Then to finish of our night we grabbed their peach and blueberry crisp for dessert. It was tasty with vanilla ice cream served beside it but both my wife and I wished it had more crumble or crisp to it. Overall though great dinner and we will keep this spot in mind for future meals. Worth checking out if you want a nice meal close to Portland but not in Portland.
