The $5 bucket of balls is generous, they provide plenty of T heights, and crew were friendly and appreciative of bringing back the buckets. Only a couple of boats have yardage signs, so I asked staff about ranges for boats, and they gave me the rundown, adding that the boats can drift, and they do have to reset them, so that 150 yard boat might be 160... that type of thing. Next time will probably visit the restaurant just up the hill to eat and sit outside watching other folks swings/stances.

The electronic scorekeeping system was a great touch and made the whole round more fun and competitive without any of the hassle of keeping score by hand. The food was awesome, with a full menu, not just basic bar snacks. Add in a solid drink selection and they also had trivia going on while we were there, which made for a great atmosphere. Perfect mix of activity, food, and entertainment all in one place. Whether you're going with friends, a date, or family, this is a great spot in Portland. We'll definitely be back!

There is no food allowed on the course itself. Food is available at the tables in the bar area. There are high top tables all around the golf course to put your drinks and purses on while you golf. Very handy. But, you need to remember to bring your drinks with you to the next hole. I may have forgotten mine once and twice and had to go back and get the drinks. When you start, you enter your group name, and each person in the group name. Sort of like when you go bowling. There are no paper cards/pencils to keep score...score is kept on screen monitors at each hole. You enter the number of puts at each hole for each person. The theme is sports, so all the Maine teams are represented, but also a few non sport holes like local legends like holy donuts. The length of the holes is much shorter than outdoor mini golf, but that doesn't mean they are easier. There are lots of obstacles at each hole. See photos. There are tons of big screens on the walls playing every sport you can think of, plus some trivia. We did not try the food because we were going out to dinner after. At the end you can keep the ball and if you bring it back you get $1 off the price of your next game. There is also a giant beer pong game near the bar that looks fund, in case you're waiting for the party in front of you to finish. The bathrooms are very clean. I will go again for sure. Not a bad deal! The people are friendly, the locker rooms are spacious and clean, and the pool is perfectly-heated. It's a great temperature for lap swimming or just playing around. In addition to the pool, there are basketball courts and an indoor track. The South Portland Community Center is a great local resource, and I'm very glad I've started taking advantage of it. If you live in the area, I suggest you do too! Just don't everybody come at once, because the pool can get pretty crowded during lap swim.

That aside, this was AWESOME!!! Such a gorgeous hike and then the beach!! THE BEACH!! Amazing. We visited Popham State Park later in the week and it could not compare to the beauty of this secluded beach. We were almost the only ones there! I wish I had understood how lovely it would be in advance... I would have packed a backpack lunch and spent the day there. As it was, we were all fully clothed but that didn't stop most of us from getting in the water. Do plan to spend some time here!

This place was recently recommended to us a good place to snowshoe with our smaller dogs who are…read morenot able to break trail with us (plus, these two refuse to be voice controlled so they have to be on leash). The person who recommended this to us made sure to point out that we needed to enter on the Greeley Road side. We entered on the Tuttle Road side the first time we went which is marked no dogs. The Tuttle Road side is beautifully well groomed for crossed country skiing. My husband remarked that he has never seen such nicely groomed trails for free. Please note, that they do suggest a $2 donation for anyone who is not a Cumberland resident. Also, the Tuttle Road side is where they are dumping snow so there are dump trucks coming and going quite often. We did find our way to the dog friendly side and I have to say, we were not disappointed. Many times you will find the "dog side" not as well taken care of, but that is not the case here. They have trails groomed and others that many people have cleared with snowshoes. There are many trails to choose from so you can make a day of exploring around or just doing a quick loop. To note: snowshoeing and cross country skiing is allowed on all trails so expect a skier to come down a hill as you and your dogs are walking up it. They do have porta-potties available and they are stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer, even in the winter! Huge Bonus. There are playing fields here as well. We absolutely can not wait to come back in the other 3 seasons to walk these trails. Cumberland has some of our favorite places to hike with our dogs and this is now at the top of our list!
