She apologized sincerely, told me the groom was done by a newer groomer and not by her, and offered to make it right by doing the proper sanitary trim and coat and tail work herself once Padme's coat has grown back in. That kind of accountability matters to me. As a small business owner myself, I know the difference between a shop that does not care and a shop dealing with a new hire's mistake, and I am not going to tank someone's business over the second one when the owner stepped up the way she did. I took my dog here recently, and for the past few days he has been in visible pain ,whimpering, restless, and not himself. When I checked him, I was devastated to find he had a cut on his private area. I'm now just hoping and praying his cut doesn't get infected, because seeing him suffer like this is already so painful. On top of that, I also don't appreciate how rude the person at the front was with their attitude and demeanor. When you're running a business that cares for animals, you should be more kind and patience should come naturally, especially with the owners who are trusting you with their pets. I'm not posting this to tear this business down or make them lose customers, but because NO dog or pet parent should go through what we just went through. Our animals can't speak up when something is wrong and it's up to us to protect them. To the groomers who may see this: PLEASE, BE MORE careful and gentle with the dogs you're grooming. They are living beings who depend on your care. I'll be praying for you and hope you take this as a wake-up call to change your attitude, treat people who are paying you with respect, and to handle every dog with love. But I can tell by how happy/relaxed my Shih Tzu was after the groom that he was treated well. The price is affordable, I am able to schedule at times that aren't too chaotic for my senior pup, AND!
