UPDATE: I posted my review prior to receiving a full refund for their services. He asked me to remove the review because the refund, but yelp is a place to express truth . I will not hid the truth yet alone let someone involve my children over a yelp review. The booking process was great and smooth. Drew groomed my doodle in the evening, but had his wife come back the next day to clean up around her face as he wasn't able to get a good clean cut due to the type of hair my doodle has. This morning the second groomer came (Jessica). I asked her to round out and even the face as well as trim the ears, which was done in maybe less than 10 minutes. Shortly after I noticed blood in my hands and on my dog. She trimmed the ears so much that she actually cut off the tips of BOTH my dogs ears.. how did she not notice? I'm pretty positive you could have seen or felt my dog flinch or even yelp. UNACCEPTABLE.
BEWARE*** If I could give ZERO stars I would. I'm lost for words. Worst dog grooming experience EVER! My dog was traumatized! I'm still in shock and can't believe what she did to my Mini Schnauzer. Unprofessional! If you don't know how to cut and style a certain breed you shouldn't lie and say you do.
I have used the mobile service of this groomer in the past and had no problems, but the mobile was booked up too far in advance so I took them to the shop instead. Jessica was the groomer in shop. We have never seen a worse haircut on our dog. You can see shave marks all over her body and various bald spots. I can't help but think it hurt her as close and rough as the shave was. I don't know what kind of shampoo they use, but she was covered with dandruff. I originally made the reservations with Cris (who did the mobile grooming), so I texted her these pics and told her this is the worst shave she has ever had. She apologized and said she would show them to Jessica. That was a week ago and I never heard back. The least they could have done is offer to fix her up but I heard nothing back. I'm very disappointed and will never go back there again.

I just had to review VIP Puppy again, they Are so great with all of my dogs! They offered a drop off service with appts available immediately, or a mobile service but appts were not available for a few weeks. I didn't want to make my babies wait a few weeks to get groomed but was super hesitant to do the drop off service only because with the companies I have gone to before they are usually crammed two at a time into a super small cage and stuck there ALL day. I called around to literally every other mobile Grooming service in the area but everywhere was sooooo expensive- average about $75 per dog and I'm getting four dogs groomed. I decided to book with VIP's drop off service and I'm so glad I did! The cages they were kept in were HUGE, and brand new. There was a freshly cleaned bowl of water on each cage as well, and the area they were being groomed in was air conditioned and incredibly clean. Jessica was great with my dogs as usual, and the best part? They were there for just over three and a half hours before they were ready for pick up. My babies look and smell amazing, and I will never consider taking my dog anywhere else!

I pay him with a 20% tip and bring my dog inside only to realize that HALF HIS BODY WAS STILL WET! He did the "shake" and i could see the water coming off of him. So there I am sitting in my yard at 9:30pm freezing my a** off drying my dog with the leaf blower in the dark. Oh not to mention the 2 hours of brushing afterwards. Listen, when he told me 5pm was his earliest available appointment I shouldn't have known better. For my own stupidity I give 2 stars.

I spoke with Jessica over the phone and she asked me all the important detailed questions about Kona then gave me a price quote. She confirmed the day prior and was punctual. She was thorough, friendly and knowledgeable when it came to Kona's breed (corgi). She not only made Kona feel comfortable and cared for but did an amazing job! Thank you Jessica for acknowledging and understanding how "very important" our puppy is to us :)
My poor baby was in need of a good shaving but because of quarantine no one was opened so I was looking into a mobile groomer around my area and I came across very important puppy on Instagram, I gave them a call and they give me a quote and an appt really quickly which I loved the lady was really nice and did such an amazing job on meeko she took her time and got the matting off my poor baby right in time for the summer heat! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a mobile groomer definitely worth it and their prices are great!! I'm very happy with my first mobile grooming experience I will be contacting them again for future services
Loved this whole experience. I used to take my pups to a groomer, but with a new born at home, I needed something more convenient and affordable. Drew was very quick to respond to my questions and was really friendly and welcoming upon first meeting him. I instantly felt safe putting my pups in his hands. He worked surprisingly quick and despite his pace, each dog came out looking perfect. Definitely will be using their service again and would recommend to anyone.

Just took my dogs to this spot today and I can't tell you how happy I was to receive the call that my dogs were done. They usually stay at the groomers for the majority of the day because my maltipoo needs to be secured that he is okay before getting cut. He is older and blind so patience is key with him. I honestly though Jessica was calling to tell me she gave up but I was pleasantly surprised to hear her say they were ready and she completed the cuts. It's a Struggle but I am happy to have found this couple and I hope we continue to build a relationship between them and my dogs. read more

I'm no stranger to mobile baths, as I've used a few different companies for my big guy Bosco. I was looking for someone more in my area and came across Very Important Puppy on Yelp. I contacted them through the website, and received a text from Drew within the same day. Fast forward a few months and Drew has bathed my Bosco several times now, and I'm pretty positive I'm a customer for life. Drew is great with communication, and he always has room for us in his schedule. Bosco (an Alaskan malamute/German shepherd mix) always looks (and smells) his best after a visit with Drew! His pricing is also super reasonable! read more

I am lucky to have asked a friend for the mobile company she used to groom her dog. I contacted VIP and Andrew answered right away and was able to set up an appointment the very next day. They washed/cleaned 3 of our dogs two Maltese and a German Shepard. The Maltese were quick and easy but my German Shepard is a big baby so he was being difficult. Luckily, Andrew was extremely helpful and did not shy away from the challenge. I also loved the fact that he's mobile and easily accessible. Trying to get all 3 dogs into my car and drop them off at the groomer and too go pick them and is such a hassle. The price was fair and VIP will be our go to groomer from now on. Very Important Puppy is the best; Jessica especially!!! She's amazing she's so gentle and though with her grooming. I have a senior dog with arthritis who needs breaks while being groomed. Jessica is so kind and accommodating with her. I trust her and her skills completely with my "seasoned" 13 yrs young girl. She also was so kind to our neighbors doors who where in bad shape and needed a grooming and flea care. She got them in really great shape and they aren't the most mellow guys. VIP has been such an amazing business to work with especially as my animals have gotten older and need in home service. Thank you so much for having a love and talent for and with animals. read more

I've called multiple mobile dog groomers and none of them take German Shepherds. Luckily a friend referred us to Drew who was happy to take our pup. Our dog is not easy to handle until he warms up to you and Drew made friends with him by the time his appt was over. We are so relieved we have a groomer now and our pup looks and smells great! First time using Very Important Puppy for my two Goldens, and my husband/myself are very happy with the outcome. Our girls look beautiful, and we were told they behaved well. I love that Drew insisted on taking them together to ease the stress, he is very good at what he does and would recommend this business to anyone, one of my favorite things is the updates and pictures the whole time! Working on getting a good after pic of my "baby". Gandalf is a GIANT Newfoundland! Needless to say, he'd give you a run for your money! We absolutely LOVE their service. They are very professional yet also very personal. They were prompt with arriving and had great communication with me over text which was my preferred method. Trimming and conditioning: His hair already is naturally long and VERY thick. They trimmed his arm and leg fur, under belly, butt and neck perfectly! Newfies are hard bc they are supposed to have big coats but it can get knotted easily if not kept up. He also smelt amazing and they put a super cute bandana on him. Pricing: I really don't know how you'll find a more decent price than theirs bring super competitive. He got a major hair cut, wash and de-shedding for $120. I had other people quote $200 & not give me the time of day. If you are anywhere near local to them, check them out! Pets are our family, they deserve this kind of service! read more

Our two babies just got the cutest haircuts today! With little bows too! I had heard of Very Important Puppy through an ex coworker of mine who recommended them. We have also seen them driving around our neighborhood, so we took it as a sign to try them out! It was very easy to set up an appointment and they were communicative about timing. It's awesome how they come to you! Our two babies finished smelling like blueberries and they look very happy to have shorter fur now :) Pricing was very reasonable as well! All I have to say is Wow! Andrew did an amazing job with Shadow. We appreciate his patience because our husky can be a handful! Not only did he arrive on time but he also sent us photos and updates during the grooming service. He took really good care of making sure Shadow felt comfortable during the service. You can clearly tell Andrew has a passion for his work & it really shows. I would highly recommend this business, especially for the hours they operate it is accommodating to our lifestyle needs. Let me start off by saying I'm not a fan of mobile grooming. But hands-down Jessica is absolutely worth the expense and is the best at what she does. She is so gentle and does such a beautiful job on my boys!! I highly recommend Very Important Puppy for your dogs grooming needs. read more

It's been a year now since I've been with Very Important Puppy and I felt this review was long overdue! I really like how they included drop off times for me to come to their house (which isn't far from me) and drop my dog off. I don't see Drew around as much ( probably because he's the one driving the van around) , but the few times I do see him he always has a smile on his face and is very friendly. I work more so with his wife, Jessica who stays at home and does grooming on the other dogs and she is friendly and is always smiling. I love the service they provide and they will always have a client for life! Thank you VIP!!! read more

Drew was communicative every step of the way. I reached out via IG and he got back to me the same day with some appointment slots to choose from. He then gave me an estimate after sharing some photos of the pups. He showed up and immediately greeted my big dogs. He took his time and spent the afternoon making sure they looked perfect and were taken care of. He shared photos of them after their grooming and took such great care of my fur babies. I'm so grateful to have a found a forever friend in Drew for my pups. Thank you so much Drew! I highly recommend to anyone needing a perfect mobile groomer who specialized in big dogs with lots of fur. If I could give 10 stars I would! read more
