Sebring Diner is classic diner food and I stopped in for weekday breakfast. Not much going on, despite some traffic on Highway 27. I had a booth in the corner to myself and I read through the entire newspaper in peace. Corned beef hash omelet with home fries and toast. It was as good as it gets. Tasty fluffy egg folded around hash and then topped with a slice of cheese. The potatoes were a little greasy and some were a bit underdone, but the rest were quite good. Toast was perfectly toasted. Coffee was decent. Huge parking lot facing the road. All in all, a good way to start the day! read more

Wish they had longer hours, closing at 3 everyday is too early. I usually go here for breakfast which is always great. I went for lunch yesterday (a patty melt) and I must say it was not as good, it was OK but nothing to go back for. I have never ordered their dinners because I can't eat dinner at lunch time. From looking at other diners plates the dinners look good but I can't judge. So over all I like this diner, it is always clean, the staff is always helpful and pleasant and breakfast can't be beat. This USED TO BE an OK place. Nothing amazing but a pleasant setting with decent food. Sadly, young, smartass, self centered waitresses unaware that their lack of customer service and "it's all such a chore", eye-rolling attitude doesn't play well when you'd like to eat an early breakfast and get on with your day, made me walk out the door, drive three minutes more and be courteously and efficiently treated at Village Inn. During snow bird season, this place was so noisy our waitress got my dining companions side item order wrong and we chose to leave before even getting out meals (we ordered them to go, after the fact). For my companions main entree, chicken cordon bleau was order. It is NOT a sandwich which is what was received! Major minus points for technical mistake! I ordered the chicken fried steak which was generous in quantity for the price, but side items again were a mistake. Mashed potatoes have a shelf life that should not exceed 4 hours, especially when kept in steam warmers. You can't fool a chef when it comes to this! When the Yankee snow bird locust leave, I'm sure it will quiet down, but I'm still not certain they will know the difference between a chicken sandwich and le chicken cordon bleau. To the point someone brought a dog in, it peed on the floor, the hostess told them it peed and NO ONE cleaned it up!! We have eaten there numerous times over the years. We have eaten there 3 times in the past week and a half. The staff that is working at this time are "Awesome". This group work with each other. If your waitress is busy delivering plates to their other customers then another waitress comes over to your table and tells you, what your waitress is doing and ask if they can take our drink order and your waitress will be right with you and they are. We decided to stop by this diner since it was on our way to Orlando from Miami. We ordered the tuna melt and decided to share it. Our waiter was right away honest and let us know it was a $0.99 up charge for sharing. I really appreciated how honest he was because most restaurants are not honest and customers don't notice added charges until they get the check. The tuna melt came quickly and we got it with macaroni salad and fries (extra $0.99). The macaroni salad was okay but the fries were good. The tuna melt was good, it had the right amount of mayonnaise, not too much or too little. Our order came out to $10, which in my opinion is extremely reasonable. This place was a mixed bag for me. We stayed in Sebring this past weekend and ate here both mornings. The good? The restaurant was clean and the decor was adorable. You definitely got the stereotypical small-town diner feel and I loved that. The place was also packed with regulars, families of all ages, and it was an overall nice vibe. The food wasn't incredible, but the breakfast was solid and the portions were generous. Their pancakes are HUGE and oh-so-fluffy, and their ham (I'm a sucker for a ham steak) was lean and juicy. The bacon was thinner than I like, but I'm pretty picky about my bacon so I would say that's more of a "me" problem. And, while I didn't try it myself, I was told by a family member that the corned beef was great! The bad? Service wasn't that great. The first visit, we had a server who ignored our table and served those around us (regulars) who came in after us, having conversation and such. It was a little frustrating. The second day, we waited 20 minutes to have our drink orders taken and didn't receive our full orders (sausage links were not brought out, toast was missing, and we received our waters as we were finishing our meals). However, I never received the sausage links and the waitress took my cup to refill my sweet tea and never made it back to the table. This was horrible service. This place is Awesome! Stopped in for a quick bite while driving across the state. It is a charming older diner with the feel of the "Good Ole' Days". Everything is clean and in good order, but they maintained the style and charm of the "original" diner. The staff was phenomenal. Tess and the gang made me feel like family in about 30 seconds. The food was well prepared and although not fine dining, it was a great meal and fairly priced. I wish all my impromptu stops could be this good. Definitely Recommend you give them a try. read more

This place has to be one of my favorite places to visit. It's open 24/7 so what's not to love about this place. During race weekends, the waitress I always have knows exactly what I'm going to order when I walk in the door as it's the same every time. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I see the locals find this diner amazing, but I found it to be " just diner food", nothing found to be outstanding or disappointing. What did shock me was the lack of all employees not wearing masks. I get it,, I don't like them either and don't wear mine when it's not necessary. But in this time of uncertainty, and a restaurant of all places, masks should be worn by those in direct contact with the customers! It proves to me that this owner not only is reckless with his employees but even more with his elderly customers. These actions leaves this establishment open to future lawsuits now that protection is being lifted. Our party of 3 stopped in at the Sebring Diner after a day on the Lake. I had read great things about this restaurant so I expected great things. I ordered their prize fried tomatoes and upon our servers suggestion the fried pork tenderloin. The others had burgers and a salad. OK, the fried tomatoes looked great, but had little to no flavor. The tenderloin was big, but way to thick and a breading that literally fell off the pork. The others said their burgers were average and their salads good (I thought the cucumbers and tomatoes were very good). So, how do I rate the Sebring Diner? The food gets a 2, the facility gets a 4, the service gets a 5 and the value gets a 4. The best overall rating I can give this restaurant is a 3. Will we go back? Probably not. This is our go-to spot for breakfast out. Tons of good old diner food (pancakes the size of your plate) served quickly. The outside of this place is really cool. It's the ultimate 50's looking diner. No one who works there stands around, everyone is always doing something. And that includes bringing fresh coffee around even if it's not their table. (very appreciated) The tables were clean, the service fast and the food good. The prices are on par or less than the chains. When my family and I first visited the Sebring Diner in March of 2006, we were simply amazed at how delicious, fresh and natural the burgers and shakes tasted. So much so that whenever we travel by car, we plan on stopping at the diner. This diner has the most wackadoodle hours for a diner. They close at 3pm and are closed all day Tuesday. We went for lunch and got there about an hour and a half before closing. We still felt rushed. Our waitress was very nice, but never asked about drink refills. She was very busy with her set ups; salt, pepper, etc. I ordered The Bull with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was cold and crispy with a nice bite to it. The fries were limp and disappointing. The sandwich consisted of a healthy serving of sliced beef on an onion roll, with tomato, lettuce, and onions. The best part was bleu cheese dressing. My family paid a visit to the Sebring Diner while on a Florida vacation. We were on our way to Legoland when this 50's-60's looking diner building came into view. Wanting a good breakfast we decided to stop. The atmosphere is pleasant and nice and family friendly. We had great service, our waitress was Judy. She was very nice. The food was amazing. I ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy...very good, I left full. My wife and son loved their breakfast as well. Important to note...I am giving this diner a 5 star rating because they deserved it and we loved our experience. We visited during the summer, Sebring is in a part of Florida where many from Northern states make Sebring their winter home. The winter crowd had already headed back north. The Sebring Diner represents what I believe to be a Classic American Diner. 1) It's built to resemble railroad rolling stock. 2) It's once again opened 24/7! 3) Small menu, good specials, no frills.
