We'll drop it off by end of day, constant communication and they were pleasant, professional, friendly, even the driver when he dropped off my flowers he was so apologetic about dropping the flowers off at the wrong place. I ordered flowers at 11:15am today and I am on my way home from work and the flowers have still not been delivered and it is 3:52pm. Very disappointed. I called up 3 times and the person that responded said the driver was on their way. On the last call, they told me they would call me back right away. Still no call back and no delivery. Sunday was Mother's Day. Late Saturday night I realized my husband had not ordered flowers for his 102 year old Mother. He's only 74 so I'll cut him a bit of a break. It was @ 8pm CA time 11p NYC. It was my daughters birthday and I always like to send her something pretty or tasty to show how much love we have for her, especially if we cannot be with her in person. This year I went for pretty, and rather than use a flower delivery service, I always prefer to use a local business. Totally randomly I chose this one, Secret Garden Rose, because it wasn't far from my daughters job. They were professional and friendly on the phone and I felt totally comfortable with them. I asked for a bouquet. I didn't want a vase, or any other add ons, just a pretty bouquet, and that is what my daughter got. A big lovely bunch of gorgeous fresh flowers, in white and pink, in a handy carry bag that my daughter said was easy to transport home and enjoy. I was able to provide my overall concept/vision with just a few images and a very helpful phone call. The attention to detail, service and quality of the flowers was beyond perfect. We had a small 25 person wedding but ordered a bouquet, a boutonniere, 3 center pieces and what I can only define as the most gorgeous flower arch I have seen. Ordered day before - I gave delivery instructions for "morning delivery". Noon call, they said flowers are going out. 3 more calls between 2-3pm where they kept putting me off and even had the audacity to tell me to let them know next time if I needed them delivered in the morning, which on my delivery directions - I DID. Any surprise flowers were no longer a surprise because another 3 calls from the driver back and forth not knowing who's the number for sender and receiver. Can hear screaming kids in the background. And very little effort to actually bring them up to her, all flowers are "COME DOWN AND GET THEM YOURSELF", which I have never experienced with other companies when doing flower deliveries to an office. I was told that apparently parking is an issue, which I didn't know was my problem when I placed the online order, but now YOU KNOW Yelp fam. The staff at Secret Garden created THE most gorgeous arrangement to honor Diwali for my son, daughter in law and granddaughter. The Google search for flowers in Garden City Park brought up this florist. I asked if they were in Garden City & I was told yes. I was promised delivery of a birthday bouquet by 4pm after ordering at 12:30pm. The office closes at 4pm and I was very clear about that. at 3:20pm I called and was told the driver is on the way. At 3:58 I called again...he's still on the way I was then informed the driver was coming from Bayside, not Garden City Park. so I told him to get in touch with the driver because the office was closing and the birthday girl was going home. He promised to call back in 2 min. which he did not. I called again at 4:10pm and was told he couldn't get in touch with the driver. So I had to cancel the order and reorder from another florist for delivery the next day. So now the birthday gift will be late thanks to the lack of responsibility of Secret Garden Rose. The next day the man who took my order called me to apologize for what happened and admitted he should not have promised me that I'd have this order by 4:00pm. He offered me a free bouquet but since I had already ordered from another florist there was no need for this. Hopefully my experience will save another customer from embarrassment. They may be a talented florist but I can't say either way. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. My mother had surgery two days ago. I went on Secret Garden Rose's website and placed an order for same day delivery. It was not fulfilled. I spoke to a customer service representative who explained that the website should not have offered me same day delivery as it wasn't possible. He assured me the flowers would be delivered yesterday - they were not as the delivery company "damaged" them. The same customer service rep assured me someone from the store would deliver them today. They have still not been delivered and it's past 7:00pm. Nobody at the store is picking up my calls. This company took my money and did not fulfill my order. They should be shutdown. I highly suggest never using them. UPDATE - after 48+ hours of multiple phone called to the company, my "same day" flowers were delivered. Note, they were ordered on a Wednesday morning and got delivered on Friday night. While they gave me a full refund for my order, I think it is still important for everyone to know the whole story here. The customer service was good (after the fact), but what occurred was inexcusable. I will not be using this company again. read more
