Who would've known that colonial Williamsburg finally got bubble tea! I loved the this place. Quite spacious for any studying group and a great place to have a bunch of friends over. I decided to get a hot taro milk tea and a Thai iced tea. What I loved is that the staff were quite helpful in helping me decide their order. Taro is naturally sweet and I had completely forgot that I usually order it no sweetness. The man behind the counter then reminded me about the sweetness and told me to get it with the no sweetness! I love when people actively try to help the customer instead remaining silent and I get a sickly sweet drink. The Thai iced tea was also pretty good. I am not from the Williamsburg area (RVA), but I am always on the look out for small shops like this! I spent all night trying to find a boba shop, but I was able to come across Secret Garden and I am not disappointed at all! Walking in I was in awe of the decor, very aesthetically pleasing and minimalistic, I am a fan. My friends and I ordered 4 drinks total, but my favorite milk tea out of it all was the Thai Milk Tea (I added the yogurt popping boba for extra creaminess, I totally recommend the yogurt boba!) and for fruit tea it was the Lychee tea. Overall the milk teas I had were creamy and delicious, for the fruit teas the taste was so herbal and earthy. The staff was very polite and patient with us as we took a little while to order. They let me sample the yogurt popping boba. Incredibly accommodating and they even gave us complimentary waffles, which were also very, very good! My friend and I stopped in on the opening day and really enjoyed our experience! She got the winter melon tea with no bubbles and I got the yogurt tea with bubbles. She actually rolled her eyes when asked to explain how the menu works with boba. People like this should not be working in customer service. The teas were ok. We're visiting from out of town, so I can't compare this other boba spots around Williamsburg, but I would not recommend coming here if you're a fan of boba. Our group got a wintermelon milk tea, strawberry milk tea, brown sugar milk tea, and lychee oolong tea. None of the milk teas tasted like they put tea in them - just milk with a flavor powder. $0.75 for like 10 popping boba pearls with extremely artificial flavor. Tapioca pearls are hard. We were so excited to find a place out here with such great reviews, but sadly it was a severe disappointment. They also no longer sell food. Only positive is that the staff was nice read more

I never got the drink I ordered because it took so long. They do not care and think they can keep a school group waiting. Insane long waits and they kept my drink at the end when people had ordered after me. Eventually after bugging them, they still don't care about it. When I wanted a refund, the clerk did not even care and just gave it. So, I do not recommend this place. read more

Was excited to try this place! Thought "great, a new breakfast place down town next to DOG Street that also does bubble tea and ice cream!" Well that was the extent of the "great"... We ordered a cheese omelette and an egg and bacon waffle sandwich along with a juice. My fiancé asked if they would add onion to the cheese omelette and was told no they can't add or take to items from the menu as it is prepared ahead of time...? But my sandwich had fresh cut onion on it... Don't worry, we were confused too. Once ordered we waiting a long time for our food - at 11:05 on a Monday with only one order ahead of us...The omelette came out first about 11:30 and 10 mins later the sandwich arrived. Not really sure what happened, especially if it's prepared ahead of time to help speed up the process and it was pretty much empty with the exception of a couple ahead of us. The food had good flavor, but for $30 to have a juice, sandwich and omelette it's a bit steep especially without the service portion being on point. Very tasty waffles with a crunchy sweet exterior, but smaller than you would expect. What you really want here is the milk bubble tea: the milk foam and regular milk types are absolutely divine. I've had hundreds of bubble teas, but when it town I always come back here to grab one. They're creamy and savory in a very unique way, and you'll find yourself trying not to drink it too fast. They also have crystal bubbles as well as the regular tapioca! I have yet to try their gelato, but the presentation is very cute. read more

I went with a friend and sibling to this place around 3-4 pm a couple of days after it opened. It was empty besides us so we got to order pretty fast. My friend got some Boba and it came out after a couple of minutes. Unlike the fast order, the 1 item I ordered, waffle sandwich, took 10-15 minutes to make it to our table. By that point my friend had pretty much finished her entire drink. My waffle sandwich came with eggs, bacon, pickles, mustard, and either mayo or butter. I wasn't a fan of the combination too much but ate it anyways. Bacon was undercooked so I left some of that and the waffle. The tea and sandwich are on the pricier side and unfortunately wasn't worth it for any of us. The place does have a nice atmosphere and is convenient for people who want a quick bite after a walk. read more
