Worst customer service ever, they were nice up until receiving my money. Now I'm trying to reach out to someone for assistance to no avail. They lied to me about paying sales tax to them even though my vehicle was going to be registered in a different state. I was forced to pay sales tax on the vehicle twice. The worst experience ever. We came in this past Saturday to look for a new lease for my wife. Her car got flooded out so it was not by choice exactly. We went to a few other dealerships and walked out due to the typical car salesman BS. We walked in and were given the freedom to browse at our own pace. Fritz was the salesman that ended up helping us. When it came down to the price we weren't happy with the price and I told Fritz that I didn't want to play games and gave him my budget. He went to the manager. In a few minutes he came back with JR who was his manager. I explained that I have a budget and I'm not interested in wasting time. JR and Fritz couldn't have been nicer and more importantly very genuine. We agreed on a price within minutes. They didn't treat me like I'm an idiot like other dealers. My only complaint was it took a long time to take delivery but that's because we were taking it home the same day. I guess it took long for insurance , credit check and so on. The actual delivery was very simple. I would recommend you see Fritz. He really was a decent person and will hopefully be there when it time for me to change cars. I will be back. read more

I came here to see if they would match a deal that Westbury Jeep was offering and let's just say wow these guys suck. I dealt with a Tony Russo who states if they can do it we will too! Then I went in and some fat guy with a nasty attitude came and sat down while I was speaking and just decided to keep cutting me off. I said can I speak? He wouldn't shut up. So I went to Westbury Jeep and got the deal that security said I wouldn't get. On top of all of this I dealt with a manger Sunny Kaliandasani works tried to get me to pay $40 more a month and $2995 down compared to what Westbury Jeep offered and I took. This is the 5th vehicle we have purchased from Security and other than the normal unknowledgeable salespeople this has been my worst experience ever. This is our first used car purchase the rest were all leases. Our salesperson Christine was new, but she was knowledgeable and had a great personality. I did not mind working with her at all. The problem was with the finance guy Tom. Fast talking, slick liar in our opinion. Sold us a warranty we could of bought elsewhere for over $1000 more than we should of paid. When I went back to discuss with him a quote we got elsewhere for the extended warranty he lied through his teeth. He also sold us a warranty for dings and dents afterwards telling us if the paint is missing its not included. What a rip off. I had to leave over 6 messages and he returned the call once. I had to go down there to get his attention and then like I said all he did was lie through his teeth. I also wanted to pay cash. He convinced us to take a loan for part of the deal and said there were no prepayment penalties. When I went back sure enough there are prepayment penalties if you pay off the loan before a certain date. I am looking to buy or lease a vehicle by October and get a new lease on a RAM truck in January. Needless to say they have lost my business. Above it all scratches that they 'fixed" are even more visible then before, the filler they used is crap. Very very disappointed with them after all the business we've given them. read more

Last week I purchased a used Jeep Cherokee Limited from Security. I worked with Amber who was AMAZING! As a young, female, i was very nervous about buying a car. Especially having just gotten out of a bad situation with my previous car. Knowing the urgency and the entire situation I was going through, Amber took the time to help me find the perfect car. I needed specific things therefore i needed a higher model car. Knowing my budget was kind of low made this a lot more difficult. The first time I met Amber, she was great. She was professional, very friendly, and made me feel a lot more comfortable. After explaining my situation to her, she not once pressured me into buying something that i couldnt afford or something i didnt want. My second time meeting with her was kind of last minute but she still took the time search and find me the perfect car! It was down pouring that day, and in the pouring rain we found my car. She gave me the time to speak to who i had to speak to without pressuring me to make a decision. Ultimately I told her i wanted the car and the rest is history. Horrible experience from beginning to end. Purchased a pre-owned car on Friday. Was promised the door to the pickup would be fixed prior to picking up the car and of course it was not. Then noticed transmission fluid leaking out of the car the next morning. Car was brought back in to be fixed Monday and have yet to receive the car back and was just told it would be another day. The salesman that sold us the car was not knowledgeable at all regarding the vehicle and obviously the service department is terrible as well. Wish we read reviews before we came in because apparently people have had similar experiences. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone. Don't bother wasting your time and money by going to any other dealership. Security was not only able to get me in the exact jeep I wanted when the other dealerships couldn't, but they also worked with me to get my monthly payments down to even less than I thought possible based on my credit score. I've bought many new cars and I have honestly never dealt with a more upfront, no nonsense sales person as Chris Pompeo, and I have never dealt with a finance department so eager to help me arrive at a payment that works for me. The salesman was very nice and personable when I brought a used car, he bent over backwards to get me the price I needed and I got very close to it. a few weeks later I brought my car in for some tire repair, I was not able to pick my car up so my mom and dad went to pick my car up for me. when they got there the car dealer opened the door so my dad could get into the car but he said he wanted to check the car out before he left to make sure everything was ok the dealer assured him everything was fine (because he knew something was wrong)and he proceeded to leave before he left the parking lot he had to get something out of the passenger side of the car and the whole door was smashed in! they explained the car was up on a lift and the door was not closed when they went to put the car back on the floor they ended up fixing it with in a day which was fine. A few months later I was having problems with something else on my car, which I had a 500$ deductible for them to fix which was reasonable. i left my car there and got a call a hour later saying someone hit my car. I went down to the dealership they explained the water delivery guy was backing out of a spot and didn't see my bright green car, an the whole side was bashed in. They said he would fix it for free but it would take 2 days I told them they broke it so now they have to fix it. The dealership never called after 2 days so I called myself I asked what was happening to my car they said it was going to take a few more days to fix. I said ok I called back they next day they said it would take 2 more days to fix... this is when I started getting upset I told them they would have to provide me with a rental because I needed to get to work they refused and said they don't do that but they would get my car fixed tomorrow. the next day I called they told me to pick up my car it was finished, then they told me I still had to pay my 500$ deductible. They ruined my car I didn't have it for days and they couldn't even wave the security? that's a joke. Long story short I went to this dealership to buy my car which went well. but the service department crashed my car twice!. horrible . read more

First off, I am a single young mom and I was SO nervous to come here due to a horrible experience at another location. I had such anxiety but I knew that the vehicle I purchased before was such a bad deal.. I have a steady income good credit etc. etc. a.k.a easy prey. I went with a friend of mine and I have to say that if you are going to ask for a salesperson - ASK FOR ANTHONY PAVONE!! i did NOT feel pressured, he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable, guided me step by step, and when he felt me get nervous, he re-approached and assured me that he was here to help me. After my purchase, I felt happy. I had negative equity from a previous place but at least this time, I understood fully what I was getting myself into and I was not rushed. They took the time to explain to me the reasons why and they were patient with my many questions. As a female, it's always scary to get into a large financial commitment such as a new vehicle. i can honestly say that Security Dodge made me feel comfortable, confident, and informed. I'm sorry for what others went through, but I'm pretty sure they didn't deal with Mr. Pavone. They are very lucky to have him there. read more

My husband and I went to look at used trucks. The salesperson Alex was great. He came with a trade in vale for my truck and the new one and of course it was high. He asked my husband, who is in the auto industry, what he wanted to pay and took it to his manager. Next thing I know this so called manager is yelling across the showroom at my husband "what are you kidding me with this offer. This is insulting..." He proceeds to yell about the condition of our truck and some other things but at this point I was on my way out the door. Last May I went into Security Dodge in Amityville, and was greeted by Sylis a salesman. I explained to him how I was ripped off by a used car place with my previous car and was looking for something that was safe, reliable and affordable. I further explained that I was a single woman on SSD. He proceeds to sell me a 2011 Jeep Compass and assures me this car is exactly what I was looking for. The price was $30 over budget but no biggie. In the last year this Jeep has been in their shop over 8 times and has cost me over $2000 .... When I called Sylis to complain he now tells me there is nothing he can do for me. I called and spoke with the used car manager and he said "what did I expect buying a used car". This place sucks and the people who run suck even more!!!! Now my jeep needs a catalic converter which is going to cost over $1,500 in order to pass inspection!!!! read more

Bought my car in April immediately stereo/GPS problems. In for 6 hour oil change & them checking my stereo to say it's fine but it's the same GPS sends me to Egypt when I use it. Finally have stereo "replaced" I leave, get 1/4 mile away it's still the same so I go back & the guy disconnects my battery & resets everything, still have to plug in my phone to use my music, cannot use hands free & things will not highlight so I'm unable to use them at all. It's not my iPhone, went to Apple 2x. Had an appointment yesterday, they emailed my husband but had us in with a Jeep not a 300! I go there, GPS took me another way again, called the girl about the email & she switched my appt (11:30) they pull car in give me tag stood in garage for 30 minutes with my kids pulled my car out to lot, go inside tell the girl nobody has spoken with me yet, at 12 they broke for lunch (1:30 now) car still outside she said speak with mgr, which one, don't know! Called husband, called brother, left! My brother has a Viper, 2017 Ram, 2017 Challenger SRT8 & he's taking me to his dealer, I should have called him 2 months ago when it started now racked up more mileage driving 30 minutes away wasting time & 3 days there! I bought this car with 32,000 miles & I'm getting the runaround because the previous owner bought it with 3/36,000. Don't know why these people treated me like this, I searched for this car for over a year, out of state too, asked them to hold her until we got there to test drive, they really are turning this into a disaster for me & we won't go back for a new truck we're done so disappointed. read more

If I could give 0 stars to their service department I would. I made an appointment to have my 4 month old Jeep serviced- the start/stop eco system was not working properly. The appointment was for 8/8. I dropped the car off on the morning of 8/7. I waited until Saturday to give them a call to figure out when I could pick up the car. Waited on hold almost 2 hours. Was told my service advisor Will would give me a call back. He NEVER called. I called Monday 8/13 at 9:15am, was told Will was out and no one knew what was wrong with my car. It is 5:45pm, 6 days after I left my car with them, no one has any answers for me about what is wrong with the car or when I will get it back. They also are all out of loaner cars so I have no car for who knows how long. I've left multiple messages with their service manager since Saturday and he has not called me back once. Absolute would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Incompetent, irresponsible and unethical. I was involved in a collision with an employee of Security Dodge in January 2018. We were equally at fault and my insurance carrier offered to cover half their loss. Security would not provide their insurance information to my carrier to recover my half. After 4 months of stonewalling my insurance carrier gave up trying. I took over the efforts in May. I have called them multiple times each week and all they do is give me the runaround. Its been nearly 7 months and they have been nothing but evasive. They told me to bring the car to their preferred body shop for an estimate and I promptly did. Didn't matter, just wasted more of my time. They do not deny their liability at all, they do not dispute anything, they just wont pay. They said they 'need direction' that they are 'working on it'. They think they can wear me down with their evasiveness. I am now taking them to court and telling the world about it. They are either unethical or incompetent or both. I would not recommend doing business with this dealership, there are many others around that are far more responsible. read more

UPDATE 11-25-16 got the car back on Wednesday and low and behold the check engine light came on again today for the 4th time the truck has 557 miles now and been in the dealer 4 times for the same problem. Leaving me no other option then to get my lawyer involved. Bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee on 10-24 drove it home and 2 days later I have a check engine light on the truck, the truck only had 87 miles when the light came on. Service couldn't get me in till the end of this week but once I complained they got me in on Monday 10-31. After bringing the car in on Monday they said there wasn't any codes so they shut the engine light off and insisted there was nothing wrong with the truck. Monday night the check engine light came back on called them up and I already had an appointment for today for a black package they said they would give us. Once I got to the dealership today I noticed the door pillar is falling off too. This is a brand new truck I paid $42.5k for and already been in for service twice this week. They gave me a Dodge Dart loaner car which is absolutely filthy and when I asked how come the loaner was not clean the girl replied at least they interior is clean, which it is not there's ashes and crumbs every where. I also requested a full size loaner car because I bought a jeep and need the extra space and they said "we only have a Dodge Dart". I'm extremely unhappy with security dodge and prob will never buy a car from them again. I came into this dealership to lease a new Jeep since my current lease was expiring. My family has a history of always leasing cars and many cars as well, so with that I have much experience going to many different dealerships across different brands. I actually enjoy the experience, as weird as that may sound. I was greeted by SUNNY KALIANDASANI. We all agreed on the price of the vehicle and I left a 100% refundable deposit (as stipulated before swiping my card) so they could begin searching for the vehicle. Problems began to arise when I could not get them on the phone and they were not returning my messages. I simply just wanted an update on the whereabouts of the vehicle as well as a quick clarification on the lease deal itself. For the life of me I could not get them over the phone. Finally, I got a call from the Finance Manager and he was the one who had the courtesy of updating me on the situation. He brought to my attention there was an issue with the duration of the lease. These two individuals actually changed the lease deal once I left. 42 months became 48 months without my permission. I tried calling again, but they never responded to my voicemails. Finally, I said forget it. I went to the dealership that Saturday morning to at least get my deposit back. I walked in and greeted the gentleman at the counter and asked if SUNNY was available. He said no and they weren't in today and he then returned to what he was doing. I then mentioned that I was hoping to get a return on my deposit and started citing the issues I was experiencing. He said rudely, "I'm not doing anything for you. You'll have to wait for one of them." I was shocked by his response. I said I wanted to speak to the GM immediately. And he said he was the GM. Wow. Then he told me to get out of the dealership and that no one was going to help me today. I didn't walk in there with guns blazing, I just wanted my deposit back. Shockingly, SUNNY emerges from nowhere and the GM said, 'Oh, there he is." SUNNY and I sat down and he explained to me about the lease deal etc. I said it was inappropriate that I had to find out information from the Finance Manager and that he would not return my calls and he changed the lease deal. After how I was treated I did not want the car from them anymore. SUNNY refused to give me my deposit and cited that he went out and got the car and it was not a cheap car (as if he doesn't sell cars for a living). I explained that I am due for my refundable deposit and he said no. He actually said, "I'm not giving you your deposit. I wouldn't even know how to do it - I don't even know how to work the machine (he's one of the managers). And it's Saturday so no one is here that can do refunds." I didn't know if I should be mad or laugh. SUNNY knows how to take money, but not give it back. He said he would see what he could do and would call me back on Monday morning. Once he said that I knew he wasn't going to call. I was furious, but I kept my cool no less. I walked out of the dealership empty handed with my money in their pockets. I called my bank and they quickly refunded me my 500 deposit. I'll post this review of my terrible experience on multiple sites so it's never deleted. On a side note, my friend's friend's husband happens to work at this dealership and I heard from my friend that many of these scenarios occur at this dealership and they like making small changes under people's noses. Don't even walk in here because they are a stereotypical dealership. Go to Merrick Dodge instead, they are polite, helpful, and very pleasant. Stay away from these two individuals. I wish I could have picked NO stars! Bought my car in July from this dealership and its been hell since. NEVER, EVER buy your truck from them!!! There are plenty of other Jeep dealerships on Long Island to choose from. When doing the final walk around of my car at the dealership there was a spot that looked like there was no clear coat and a few scratches on the truck. I told Salesman and Sales manager I wanted a different truck. I was told "no, it's fine they are light buffing and will be taken care of we promise don't worry". After some back and forth I took their word for it. Two weeks later I washed my truck for the first time myself and noticed my hood was missing a big spot of clear coat, a paint drip on my driver's door, and I have 5 large imperfections in the paint and they stand out now in all lighting conditions. They look like a different color than my truck. My truck is Billet Silver which is a Metallic Silver Paint. Brought my truck in a month later (that's how long it took because no one there returns your phone calls there either) to get the scratches fixed and inform them of the paint imperfections. I picked up my truck 2 days later and the scratches were still there. I was then told they are not fixable, they have to be painted. They said according to Chrysler the Paint Imperfections are "acceptable" and will not be fixed. Brought my truck back to have the hood, rear quarter and trunk painted which was supposed to take 3-4 days. They had my truck from Monday till the following Thursday. 11 days! Get my truck back, there are paint drips down the front of my truck, over spray all over the truck and they painted my fender that was not a part of the scope of work. My hood, fender, bumper and door all don't line up anymore like the truck was hit. They 'fixed' the paint drip on my drivers door which is now a big dull spot, and the door is shorter than it was. My gas tank door doesn't line up anymore. The molding by my windshield is damaged and still not replaced. The GM of the dealership told me "You don't know what you are talking about" and "The cars a lease isn't it? So why do you care. You don't actually own it." after he also told me the body parts never line up. My drivers seat made a pop sound one day while driving and became very uncomfortable to sit in now while driving. Was told "that's how they all are". Nothing like knocking your product. My air vent had extra plastic in it which was making a flapping noise so the dealership removed it which then my dashboard started creaking. They said was my instrument cluster. It must have been "knocked" while they fixed the vent. They took my truck to fix that and damaged the trim that goes around the instrument cluster. They do not care about your cars!! The service manager is terrible, makes you think he's helping you but he's not and he NEVER calls you back. And this dealerships answer to everything is "That's how they are". It's now October and nothing has been done. I have been waiting for weeks now for their Chrysler rep to call me to discuss the situation. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone to buy a car from. They shouldn't be allowed to operate and do business. read more

I regret getting my 2nd leased vehicle from this joke of a dealership. My boyfriend and I walked into this dealership early in the afternoon on a Friday (6/22/18), around 2 o'clock. We weren't greeted as we first walked in, which we bypassed, then someone directed us to sit and they would get a salesman for us. The process of then looking at, test driving, selecting a vehicle and going through the negotiating phase, all went fairly quickly. Maybe around an hour and a half. It wasn't until the "paperwork" stage that things went downhill. FOUR hours later, after our salesman had already left for a church gathering, sitting around, getting pizza and having to use the fact that we needed to get back to our son... ONLY then, was it that the person with my leasing paperwork came around and finalized the sale so we could get the fuck out of there. You know, only after being there for 5/5.5 hrs. Forward to 3.5 weeks later and I'm already experiencing my first issue with the energy save mode on my brand new 2018 Jeep Compass. I contact the service dept and am immediately met with lackluster concern for my issue and the swift advice of being told that it's not a safety issue (aka not of utmost concern or needing to be remedied right away) but I could come by whenever I wanted t have it looked at. Now, unlike some people, this is my ONLY car, therefore i would need a loaner. Let's just say, it's been a fiasco ever since. I've been told loaners are first come, first serve and per a new development as of today, 7/28/18, you need to make an appointment . They schmooze you over during the sales process, telling you that "if aything's wrong with the car, we'll put in a loaner (implying a seamless transaction)," as opposed to what the truth is. "Yea, we'll put you in a loaner but only after the first come, first serve and you making a service appointment and still, even then, we may not have loaner for you but one thing at a time right? Long story short, this place is a joke. They don't give a crap about you as the customer and I have yet to see anyone try and go "above and beyond" for me and my concerns with my vehicle. I had to damn near shed some tears just to get "squeezed" into a service appointment so that I can hopefully get the issues rectified before my family and I move out of state in September. I will NEVER use this dealership ever again for any future car purchases or refer them to any family or friends. I should've paid attention to the lack of interest my sister and her boyfriend were extended when she went there looking for her 1st car. read more

Purchased 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee from North shore dealer. Within the first few months I broke down several times because of the TIPM recall situation. I made the mistake of bringing it to Security for repairs. I guess they hadn't heard about the recall because they replaced everything but the TIPM, causing me to get rental car after rental car racking up quite a bill. Finally after a little coaching they replaced the correct part! I pulled out of the dealership around Christmas eve and no sooner did I leave and the air bag light was on and the seat was broken. finally after a lot of aggravation all was repaired. fast forward to this past week... engine light coming on, so I made an appointment. ( had to wait 10 days) told them that we had replaced the oil sensor as the code was coming up oil sensor. They said they had to charge me a diagnostic fee and would be able to locate and fix the problem. I agreed. I did tell them that the code said oil sensor, so go past that as it has been replaced. Since it was Friday (didn't bother to tell me that they couldn't look at it until Monday when I made the appointment) they had to wait until Monday to look at it. A few days go by and I speak with the service advisor and she says that it needs a oil sensor, the one in the car is "not a genuine mopar part". estimate about $300. the part cost $35. manager says that they have to start by replacing the oil sensor and then "move on from there"! You have got to be kidding! I needed diagnostics not a parts replacer! So I paid the money- not happily, and told them to bring my car. 40 minutes later I am still waiting for my car, so I go over to the lot down the road that has unwanted cars on it and see them frantically trying to jump start my car! (I took a few pictures of them trying to start car) would not start! NOW NEVER had ANY problems even during the coldest of winter starting the car! now its DEAD! So they tell us that they will look at it in the morning. Now I have to rent a car for work! next day I go to get car and they want me to sign a page that ACTUALLY states CUSTOMER says car don't start! car battery dead. I crossed out customer and wrote dealer states! Some clown must have left something on all night and killed the battery! BUT no charge for that! so I am out of pocket $185 for a non diagnostic and I actually got a dead battery out of the deal too! AND paid for a rental! Then the customer service manager Bill doesn't bother to answer calls! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! BTW they also spilled oil down the front of my white car! My family and I recently purchased a pre owned truck at security dodge. Everything went Perfectly until the day we picked up the truck. They told us they would get the car cleaned and detailed before we come pick it up. The truck was filthy and exactly the same as when we first saw it and test drove it , it had the same two blood stains on the handle. That is very disappointing. Buying a car is a huge deal and the car should at least a be cleaned before the pickup out of respect to the buyers. On the other hand we still have not received our 500$ deposit back. We have called back several times no answer. We finally got ahold of the guy that sold us the car and all he gave us was one word answers and didn't even know who we were not remembered us. Before buying this car a friend of ours warned us about this dealership and told us not to go here but we did anyways. Guess we should listen next time , but may this be advice to future customers. read more

I have been looking around for dealerships to work with my firm and set budget and opt out an early lease of a Durango R/T into a new and more financially stable Jeep Wrangler. Had my mind set fair and firm on a Jeep Wrangler unlimited. With this being said every other dealership including those that claim full customer service and loyalty couldn't even add up to the service and commitment Security dodge put in. I will be honest in did take a good amount of time in negotiating and working out the numbers right and a close call divorce. But in the end with all at security ( John, Raja, and Elvis ) made the process smooth and efficient where myself and my family are satisfied and thankful for the hard work and dedication. BEWARE BEWARE!!! This dealership is full of Liars. they tell you what you want to hear while your there and do not own up to there faults!!!! We purchased a 2016 chrysler 200 in December 2015,it had 14 miles ion the car when we brought it home we loved the car the color and all, well three months later the check engine light comes on and my husband takes it back to security come to find out the mechanic says its the thermostat so they change it and we have been back down to security dodge for the same issue 7 times now since they so called put a new thermostat in the car we have been smelling a burning anti freeze scent in the vehicle once you drive the car for a long while on open highway the smell gets stronger and stronger and each time we took it back they would keep the car for a few days and then tell us it is ready and we are back there 2 days later leaving it again. They one time told us we can drive the car the smell would burn off we took a trip in May to Virginia half way down there the smell was so intense we had our 4 yr old grand baby with us and she was inhale those smells as well, so we had had to cut our trip short to bring the car back to them and again that was days of them keeping the car and telling us it was fine to there standards!!! So we take it back and drive it a few days and back it went our car has been at security dodge more than it has been in our driveway!!! we are making a monthly payment on a car we can't drive and we have asked security to help us in getting out of this car and in the same exact car due to an era that was cause by there mechanic and to no avail they have yet to help us all we have have gotten is the run around by several different people they change salesmen and managers down there like water so there is never the same person so called trying to help you more that twice before there gone!!!! So they have stuck us with a LEMON car that gives a odor that can later on turn into cancer. I will not purchase another vehicle from them again. When I purchased my Town and Country I gave them a weeks notice regarding when I wanted to pick it up. The day I picked it up, the back up camera and DVD player were not properly installed (was told the tech stayed late the night before to install the back up camera (i gave them a weeks notice). Also I replaced the battery seven months ago and the new battery failed a drain test and had to be replaced, they did not charge me for the battery but charged me for the labor to install it. When they are working on your vehicle, try getting a hold of someone to check on it, you'll be on hold for 20 minutes and maybe you'll talk to an advisor, if not you'll get a voice mail, maybe they'll return your call. I also have a Honda and use Babylon Honda, never have any of those issues, call Honda, and even if your advisor is unavailable, someone will check on your vehicle and you'll have an answer in five minutes. read more
