LOVE this place - who would think they would write that they love a storage unit? but the people make it so worth it. Charles went above and beyond he physically measured my storage unit and door. Used his knowledge on moving to help me assess what space I would need so I wouldnt over pay. Honest and good people here who arent upselling you on the space. Could have easily convinced me that I would need a larger space but got the perfect fit for my queen bed and boxes (6x4) while im away from the city. Thank you so much! Helps too that theyre warm and friendly. Charles even brought out straps to help my movers Clean place with a lock code outside ! read more

My experience with Security Public Storage was as good as it gets. We arrived and were met by extremely helpful staff, who expedited the paper work, and directed the movers into an optimal space for an almost 8ft tall French armoire. Safe, clean, perfect location, and FABULOUS customer service. Had an amazing experience with this place! Charles is the on-site manager and couldn't possibly be any friendlier. Charles has been super helpful throughout. I was stuck abroad due to visa issues and had to vacate my apartment remotely. Charles was very accommodating and helpful in explaining the process of taking possession and I was able to sign the rental agreement remotely. My friend had no issues in taking possession and his emails did plenty to explain every aspect of the process. Also it helped me understand how secure the facility was as well. Now that I'm back I was able to check in to my storage facility without a hitch myself. read more

This is hands down the best storage facility in San Francisco. I've used them twice and refer them to all my friends - every single experience has been nothing short of incredible. The prices are very reasonable, quality and convenience are very high, and Charles is a pro who delivers the best customer experience ever and will make your storage experience/move absolutely painless and if anything, a pleasure. We had a great experience at security public storage! We started storing our belongings here when I moved into my partners apartment early in the pandemic and we were limited in space. When we decided to move out of our apartment and store our whole apartment while we travelled, Charles was incredibly accommodating and gave us a great deal for a larger space. The manager, Charles is really amazing! He was so thoughtful and worked with me to find me the exact size space I needed. He put out orange cones to make sure my truck had a parking space in front of the building to unload- have to call ahead. He greeted me and my movers when I arrived. He even helped with ideas to organize where items should go in the storage unit to maximize the space. This is service BEYOND expectations! Give this man an award and a raise! :-) The facility is clean, well lighted and has excellent security systems. What more could you ask for? This is storage heaven! I highly, highly recommend! Whenever I needed help with my unit or anything around moving, Charles was a HUGE help to my girlfriend and I. He went above and beyond to help us get our PODs situated and even put locks on them for us when I was around to do it myself. ZippGo rents you a certain amount of boxes based on how many rooms/square feet you are moving, and they deliver the boxes to your address, you use them for a move, and they pick them up at the new address. It was easy to schedule and make sure the drop off and pickup worked at an appropriate time. The boxes themselves are sturdy plastic, and the top interlocks so you don't need any packing tape. The boxes fit on top of each other which makes them easy to stack and move. You can also pick box inserts that are designed for plates and glassware which made it so easy to move these items. I would recommend ZippGo in a heartbeat- it made our move faster, easier, and more eco friendly too!

Sarah and her driver, Javier's, dedication to customer service was truly impressive. That said, I'd recommend planning ahead rather than making last-minute requests like I did! Note that their drivers don't work on Sundays and Mondays, so be sure to schedule your box deliveries in advance. This is a store policy and apparently an email is sent out. I have nothing and was forced to pay a fee to get my package. The issue here is NOT the fee. It's the disclosure around it or complete lack of that infuriates me as a consumer. I have a feeling this store intentionally does this without notifying the merchant or the consumer. This is a direct violation of SB478 in California. Update - I called another UPS store in town and this fee that this location charges is up to the store franchisee and their own policy. I just want to make sure others are aware of my experience. This store is definitely violating both SB478 and making revenue by deceiving consumers in this way. This isn't a normal practice across UPS stores.

I was moving from a two-bedroom apartment (Dublin, CA to Danville, CA) filled with fragile furniture, glass pieces, mirrors, artwork, and a massive 9 foot tall, extremely heavy mirror. My movers communicated when they would arrive and showed up on time. I feel they overall handled my belongings with care and things went smoothly and efficiently. I was moving things from a 10x10 storage unit into a 1 bedroom apartment about an hour and a half away, with 1 stop to pick up a couch along the way. Total time took about 5.5 hours. On the other hand, things got weird when it was time to pay. I didn't appreciate feeling pressured when they tried to tell me that a 30% tip was the standard. I gave them 20%, which I felt was a good tip and standard for a good job. I was also pressured into writing both a Yelp and Google review, leaving them 5 stars as they hovered over me. I am coming back and editing my review now that I've had time to reflect on things. This explains all of the 5 star reviews!

It was a crew of nine. They helped remove a bunch of overgrown ivy and weeds throughout my property and hauled away a bunch of junk (some of which had been sitting around for over 20 years). There's still much to do around my house due to years of deferred maintenance, but the Santos Hauling team provided a jumpstart to refreshing my house. They are extremely responsive, provided quality work, are respectful of property, and their service comes at a very reasonable price.

We reached out to Steven and asked if we could see his trailer in person before committing to renting. He was happy to oblige. We went home and booked immediately for our August family camping trip. We loved our 4 days with the trailer. The convenience of not having to set up and break down a ground tent (in our case multiple tents) and a camp kitchen allowed us more time to enjoy the actual trip. Our Jeep Wrangler easily pulled the trailer up into the hills around Truckee from the Bay Area. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we would need to cook all our meals. Having a refrigerator was a huge plus and the solar panel remained fully charged each day with only a few hours of direct sunlight. We were notified 2 weeks before our trip that water would not be available at our campsite. Having the 25 gallons of water available with the trailer took that stress away of having to bring extra water for drinking and extinguishing our campfires. The bedroom has plenty of storage space for our clothing and toiletries. Even cubbies for my books. Overall, we had an amazing experience and can not wait for our next adventure

I can't say enough good things about Steven, Susie, and San Francisco Overland…read more Steven was engaged and informative even before booking, answering questions about the size of trailer (I'm 6'-6" tall and do indeed fit inside for sleeping), the size of the roof top tent (Cal King!), and the capabilities of the trailer. Once booked he pointed us in the direction of youtube videos that provided tutorials on the how the various trailer systems worked. He answered a number of additional questions about trailer capabilities and even provided a service to help find locations that fit our overlanding capabilities/desires. It was great to know that we had location options that were vetted and that we knew the trailer could accomodate. Check out was quick and informative. In addition to all the pots, pans, utensils, spices, etc. you could need, the trailer included little extras like freeze dried fruit treats, bug spray, cleaning wipes, and more. Because of the clearance of the trailer we needed to rent a hitch, and the one supplied was top notch (Weigh Safe). We definitely put the trailer through its paces, and without question it is more off-road capable than my truck. When we set up camp everything was in its place and good to go despite the bouncing and shaking and dust bath the trailer endured. The kitchen worked out great for us, although if you are not tall you might want to bring a small collapsible step stool to more easily reach the counter. The cooktop was clean and convenient and we had plenty of water for our three days. I was impressed by the electrical set up. 200Ah of lithium plus a 200W solar panel handled the fridge and water pump and lights with no trouble at all. Drop off was as quick and convenient as the pick up. Steven did a check of systems and items and sent us on our way. There aren't many overlanding trailers available for rent, and I'm appreciative of the opportunity to try one out as we consider whether its a type of rv'ing that will work for us. I wouldn't hesitate renting from Steven and SF Overland again.

WOW! Charles and Public Storage helped me SO much. my gf moved to argentina for 3 months and subleased her place... I decided to move out of my studio at the same time to save some $$ so i could meet her down there at the end of her internship (YAY)... we needed to put our stuff somewhere safe and clean (because i'm kinda ocd about my stuff :-)) and we found this place! COULD NOT HAVE BEEN A BETTER EXPERIENCE! First of all, they were totally professional and helpful with Q&A. Charles toured the whole building with me to show me all the different units because i had NO idea what size we would need until i saw some samples. he was so good humored and friendly about all my questions. ;) THEN when my gf came by, he answered all her questions, helped us get set up with auto pay and BOOM! we were set to move in. since then, we've been in and out of the building and they always say hi, ask us if we need anything and are super helpful. They even walked all around the buidling for me and down to the corner of the street to look for a cart for me on a busy day when most carts were being used. AWESOME! AND one more thing... he always answers the phone saying "it's a great day at public storage" heehee i love that. Super easy auto pay - no crazy contracts for life - email friendly... DONE. This place is stellar! An immaculately clean, well lit, secure, tight ship, and every other label you would want slapped on and around your stored "treasures". The "Lifesaver" label definitely goes to Mr.Charles (In Charge!) who came thru for me at the end of an unbelievably miserable moving experience. All of my surviving possessions ended up as a pile of castaways 3 blocks away on Zip-Van Island when self-storage suddenly became my urgent and only option. After 2 lengthy calls to competitors, I tried SPS & w/in 2 rings Chuck picked up & immediately got the ball rolling. I have come to expect bureaucracy in every aspect of modern society, yet here was a man working quickly to expedite the paperwork & initiation to get me in before they closed at 6:45. It has become obvious over my SPS experiences that Charles, or Gordon or ANY staff member, are genuinely trying to help people. After the day I had, it meant so much more than he could know. I was able to get it all in & locked up with 2 minutes to spare. And there is no way I could have done it without Charles' excellent customer service. What more can I say but Security Public Storage was my first choice after interviewing several Public Storage Companies in San Francisco. If you want to do business in a family atmosphere, Charles and Nickolas are your men. The facilities are very clean and well-it. Double protection, key pads at the front door and in the elevator allow only customers to enter and exit. Very important to me, clean restroom! Charles and Nicolas made me feel so welcomed. I liked the physical layout. Two car parking spaces for unloading. Flatbed available for your use. Charles is an organizing whiz when it comes to filling out the necessary forms to rent from Security Public Storage. I personally felt well-cared for. Nicolas was instrumental in helping me to downside into a smaller unit after I took out about 1/4 of the things I had had in storage. I could not visualize all my boxes fitting into a smaller unit, but it did. The wonderful things about renting a storage unit from Charles and Nicolas are they have all the things one would need like locks, boxes, tape to buy if you need them. About a year ago i moved out of one Security Storage in DC and into my new place across the street from another in SF. I was bummed i didn't go there first as i could have just walked stuff over and not hired movers! 12+ months later and i get to redo my choice. We are redoing our balcony and have patio furniture to store for a few months. Sadly, these guys were 100% booked up! But earlier today Chris calls me and says they havr one unit open! Four people on the wait list, but he recognized our name from the DC location and called us first. I thought the unit would be too big but he insisted i had undercut my sizr. Long story short, the dude was right. I definitely needed the larger size! Good lookin out lil homie. I am pretty stoked to be able to walk over the patio furniture tomorrow. They have carts so it will be sunday cake. I highly recommend this place, just call asap and don't wait until the last second. They are apparently often booked completely up due to having a lot of security mechanisms unlike some of the hobo home storage places around here. read more

Clutter is THE best moving company! I've only utilized movers once but I will always use them or refer them if need be. They're amazing, do a wonderful job and the movers were absolutely excellent and kind! My father (84) kept telling me how polite and kind the movers were! Ryan Lee, Madrid and Malachi Bobbit were THE ABSOLUTE best! They were funny, efficient and super polite. We had a great time with them and will always use Clutter again for moving. I highly recommend clutter for any moving experience. The set Up was easy to use, the guys packaged everything well, and did a marvelous job of packing the truck and got everything on one move. Truly good guys and great company! The supervisor even came out To my home to check on progress and such. Love, love, LOVE this company! Thank you to my movers for making my move so much less stressful. Amd they did it in 109 degree weather and NEVER complained!! read more

I just started renting a space at SPS. The sign up online is easy and just a bit of paper work when you get to the office. Security for the site is pretty good (code in and outs on the outer doors and elevator). There are plenty of carts to use and they usually have a parking space or two coned off for customer use. The space I got was in good condition and has nice tall ceilings so you can stack and stack to your heart's content! The best thing about this place though is customer service. I dealt with Charles on both my visits. He helped me with the paper work, padlock and initial move in. Unfortunately I lost my keys to the lock the first day I had them (moving and such, they just disappeared). Charles was incredibly helpful. He get a bolt cutter from the back and cut the old lock off and got me a new lock all with a smile and humor. I would recommend this storage facility to any of my friends! read more

These guys are so easy and helpful to deal with. I have had 2 rooms there for a year and a half. Charles and Gordon have been there to help with moving issues, and helped me choose the right amount of storage for my needs. They are both very professional. One Sunday a few months ago I showed up at 3:30, thinking they were open until 6, but they close at 4 on Sundays. I had a rented truckload of stuff to add to my storage, and I had to return the truck that night. Gordon was there, and he volunteered to stay open so I could move. He stayed over 45 minutes after closing time. I was blown away that he would do that. (I certainly would not have wanted to stay late on a Sunday afternoon because a customer didn't look at the business hours.) I tried to give him $50 bucks. He wouldn't take it. That is service beyond the call of duty, and I really appreciate it. read more

After a hectic moving day, Charles professionalism and patience made everything better. I had movers scheduled for 3pm on a Saturday and they showed up at 7pm. Not only was I frustrated that I spent a beautiful weekend day on movers but I knew that the storage unit closed at 6pm. Charles waited hours after the storage unit was closed to accommodate me because the moving company had strung us both along. To much surprise, Charles greeted us with a friendly smile and the most delightful personality. For a minute, I was completely caught off guard because I couldn't understand how anyone could be happy after this situation. At the end of it all, life truly is too short to waste one minute angry. This is an extremely professional and well-run business. The facilities are spotless and well-organized. The most satisfying part of my experience, however, is in dealing with the team who runs the company. I've mostly dealt with Charles in the main office. He is smart, efficient, and, most importantly, willing to go out of his way to help. For example, recently I had a critical need to access my stuff and, as I pulled up at closing time, I realized that I had forgotten my key. This was a huge problem because I was under a work deadline. When I explained my problem to him, he graciously agreed to stay and hold the facility open for the 20 minutes it took me to retrieve my key. I've heard multiple similar stories from other customers there. It's awesome to find folks like this willing to go the extra mile. read more

I cant say enough about the staff and their way of doing business its great. In the past my partner was very ill and they expressed concern for his well being and making sure I had no worries in having to move around alot things therough the whole thing. I recently was a little forgetful having to get my dads ashes and some musical instruments to which are invaluable and very sentimental to my family, well long story short I received a phone call within minutes of my departing the bldg.to be informed that I left one of the instruments behind and that they had it in the office for me to retrieve. the good: - courteous professional staff that can be friendly too - clean, secure & quiet - convenient drive-up access - better than average accessible hours. the bad: - narrow aisles, making move-in/out a bit challenging. suggestion: pull your 4-wheel cart, rather than push - necessary around corners. the ugh: - motion sensor lights on short timer, resulting in darkness until i navigate down the hall to trip them back on - again & again. summary: not designed for the frequent flyer. yet, i've encountered zero resistance or animosity from the staff in my daily visits. my chief objection is the above-mentioned lights issue. most people who store here rarely visit here, so i am almost always alone and left isolated here - enjoyable for me. yakkety jak over & out read more

Needed short term storage at the last minute and found these guys here at Yelp. Reviews were right on. I found Malcolm to be extremely friendly and helpful. He showed me lots of different options for my storage needs, which were 4 beds and 2 sofas. He also really helped me figure out what space would be the best for my particular needs, which was for my business. The savings were great and I loved that they have a parking space for me across the street while I'm helping my movers get the stuff in the unit. Everyone here is super helpful and I would definitely recommend again! Charles was sooo nice helping me move out and Malcolm volunteered to cut my lock off when I forgot the key to my unit. I had the best experience possible. I was living in Indianapolis when I arranged with Charles to rent a space for my things which would be arriving via moving company. He worked with me to find two units on the same hallway so I could go through my stuff when I had time in order to put everything into one unit. The facility is super clean. No dust and dirt like there are in other places I've used. While I was in San Francisco I was in and out of the building once or twice a week and never had any problem getting in. Two days ago another moving company came to pick up my things to move to another city. Charles worked with my friend in S.F. to arrange the pick-up. Thank you, Charles! read more

As a customer since October 2006 (4+ years), I have nothing but high marks for these guys. My storage unit has done just what it was supposed to and without incident. While here, I was always greeted with an amazingly helpful staff. Always courteous. They also made some important upgrades to the building a couple years ago. Monthly rent is fair with slight increases over the years. Even regarding a slight billing mishap, they were completely professional while working with me to get it corrected. A little civility on your part does go a long way. Keep in mind that it's the city, so parking may be a little tough at times. Just plan your visit and have some meter change handy. read more

Whilst in between places, I stored my stuff for 5 months at Security PS. I chose them because of their prompt customer service, and I was not let down. The place has convenient free parking (at the lot across the street and in front), is impeccably clean, and is reasonably priced. I never had problems with access or security, and the other renters there were always cordial. Most impressive, though, was the treatment I received from Charles and his staff during my time there. They were always kind, friendly, and worked to make sure I got the best deal possible. Also, the online payment system is super straight forward. This is The Best Storage Facility in the Bay Area!!! We used this facility for our business during a transition from one to store to a new location. When I made a call to inquire I spoke with Charles. He was very informative but most importantly friendly. When I stopped by I was pleased to meet him in person and he showed me available options. In the 6 months we have been tenants Charles has been helpful in so many ways and I appreciate everything he has done for me and our company. So i just finished my month stay at this Storage Facility. Although it's in the middle of the city it actually is quite accessible. They have a designated spot to unload and two permanent parking spots that all seem to be readily available. The storage is in a nice, clean, and safe area of SF. But most importantly it is ran by a great employee named Charles. He really makes you feel welcome and will do what ever he can to help you with a unit, unloading, or any other logistics. For me, it's about good people and Charles fits that mold. i would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to store stuff. read more

I just moved to SF, so pretty much everything is new to me, but I am so impresed with these guys I wanted to give them some major kudos, so I took my firend's advice and signed up with Yelp. (BTW - Yelp is great too :)) Anyway, I really recommend this place - very nice people, super professional, gave me some good advice on how to organize my stuff, the whole process was a piece of cake. It looks like they are doing some improvements, so it was a bit dusty on my floor, but I was really amazed with how much they genuinely care about their operation. The owner and staff at Security Public Storage are patient and helpful, and treat you like they value you as a customer. The building and units are clean and well maintained. The rates are amazing and I feel like i am getting a good sized space for the money, which is not the norm when trying to find storage in the city. They are in a great location that is easy to get to and there is great parking so you won't have to circle the block 5 times or double park. This is the place you should consider first if you are needing storage space in San Francisco. read more

I am very satisfied with the service at this storage location. It was very last minute that I needed a place to put my old studio apartment, and Charles and Eric were more than eager to help me get a unit reserved, with good detail about the business and its offerings. Very reasonably priced, very clean units and entire building, staff always on site to help. Also, each unit is individually armed, which is a requirement for storage units in San Francisco. I still use this facility and recommend it to anyone else looking. read more
