Came here with Laura ... So many complaints here ...ughhh I was HIGHLY disappointed because I've been meaning to come here for over a year now. My schedule just didn't align. So many things happened - Laura and I were ready to go. We came in through one of the open doors and was told that the hostess stand was across the restaurant to the back. Weird. No host was readily available so we were just awkwardly standing there for some time. We asked to move to another table closer to the doors because it was ridiculously hot. The waitress stated that they turned off the AC. They didn't have half of the items listed on the menu, Including some ingredients for some of the cocktails. I ordered an old fashion and although menu states that they have Luxardo cherries, they garnished mine with a maraschino cherry. When I pointed this out, the waitress simply said they didn't have them (wish she made this known when I placed the order). Drink was nasty. I ordered a bourbon old fashioned and they used that cheap ass juice. We ordered crab dip and I kid you not, it was tooooo salty. We couldn't eat it. Then a customer threw up next to our table. We were over it. The waitress comped our entire meal even after we offered to pay for the shitty drinks. Trash place. I met here with a friend to catch up. She now lives in NJ and I am cross the bridge in NYC, so this was perfect for us. We did a late brunch on a Saturday. I arrived before she did and was greeted, seated, and attended immediately. Once my friend arrived we placed food and drinks orders. Our appetizers came out immediately and were fresh and hot. Had I known I would enjoy them as much I would have gotten a double serving and not an entrée. Our drinks came and were very watered down. Our server rectified it right away. When we got new drinks they were right on the spot. Our entrée came it was not a wow factor for me. I had steak which was cooked and seasoned to my liking, it was not bad. The Mexican corn was pretty good, but the mashed potatoes tasted from the box and salty. I personally will not run back for the food, however if my friend would suggest meeting here again I would not say NO. The service was GREAT, the place is spacious and nice, and food is mid. I had a fantastic dinner at Sedona Taphouse in Cliffside Park! We started by splitting the goat cheese toast, which was flavorful and the perfect appetizer. The truffle fries were crispy and delicious, making the perfect side for the main star: the Hangover burger. It was juicy, loaded with toppings, and hit the spot. On top of that, my girlfriend's NY Strip steak was outstanding--perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and incredibly tender. Visited recently with my wife and daughter and we had our little Cavapoo puppy with us. The service was excellent and the food was very well prepared and enjoying. Ed, the owner, came out to greet us and gave a nicely prepared chicken treat for our pet. He was very pleasing and the hospitality was expressed very well by him and the staff. Very busy at 5:30 on Friday! There were large parties so this seemed to slow service down. We wanted to sit outside and took the host a few minutes to figure out that the empty tables outside were not reserved. Our waitress was a bit slow and hard to find while we dined. Luckily we were in no hurry, except when it came to ordering one more drink before happy hour ended! They need to print some new menus. The ones we were given were so well used letters were worn off. We stuck to the happy hour menu. Great prices for food and drinks. Select cocktails are $6. I got a beer and sangria, each $5. The white sangria was delicious. The Pilsner a bit flat and watery. My friend got a different Pilsner and hers was significantly better. I wasn't too impressed by their beer selection; if anything I was wary of it. Why do your seasonal beer selections still include a pumpkin beer and winter ale? For taphouse you'd think there'd be a better turnover of beers. Also they don't have paper menu with all beers on draft. For this menu they give you a QR code to scan. As for food, we got the sliders, fish tacos and crab and artichoke dip (all $8 each) and fries ($6). The price of the fries doesn't seem like much of a deal but they were very good. My friend thought the crab and artichoke dip was too salty. Didn't bother me so I wound up eating most of it. It's a small portion so could easily be eaten by one person. The fish tacos were definitely the winners. The tacos were a nice size with at least two pieces of fish in each taco along with avocado, mango, corn. These could easily be a meal. read more

They each came with a soup or salad and a dessert for each of us. My only complaint was the lettuce in my Cesar salad was limp and starting to turn brown, so taking one star away for that. I was in Jersey and found myself looking for some dinner before heading back home; I am totally unfamiliar with this area so I whipped Yelp out to do a quick search. I didn't want anything crazy, just something solid and easy. Sedona Taphouse stood out to me since the reviews were good, they had a good selection, and the name was somewhat familiar since they have a location in Westchester. It seemed to fit the bill, so off I went. ST is located in a mixed commercial/residential complex - it looks like many of the new structures coming up recently offering higher-end living mixed with businesses in locations relatively close to NYC. The space is pretty large - they have outdoor seating as well as a spacious interior with booths, high tops, and a large bar in the center. The decor is inoffensive - the color scheme is mostly earth tones with touches of rustic accents. I was today years old when I discovered that Sedona is a chain/franchise; not only do they have a location closer to me in Westchester, but actually have spots throughout the country. The menu had a good selection of mostly American dishes - apps, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. I wasn't looking for anything heavy, and the salmon asparagus salad seemed to fit the bill. I thought the dish was good - it had a generous cut of salmon, the greens were lightly dressed, and there was a good balance of salad to accents (such as feta, nuts, and the namesake asparagus). The dish was very cohesive and all the flavors/textures worked well; I wouldn't call it amazing but it wasn't bad. Service was excellent - our server was super friendly and made sure I was taken care of throughout the meal. Overall, I don't think the food was particularly memorable, but the service was great so this lands at a 4 from me. If circumstances found me near a Sedona Taphouse again, I wouldn't be against returning. read more

Her bacon was on the side so I can have it, she does not eat bacon ?. For drinks I had the Triple Scoop IPA, Mad Elf a Belgian Strong Dark Ale and she had the High And Dry Stowe Cider. Hands down one of the best happy hour spots in town! The only thing that they can use a little help in is the service. Once you order they kind of forget about you, and at first they forgot to serve me a wine glass with the bottle, but then my server told someone else to fetch me the glass. I don't know, I felt like that was a little distasteful. The other girl made up for it by polishing it off, and giving me a fresh, cleaned glass, so that was nice. So let's start with, how does this place get 4 stars, at best it's a three. Let's start with service. I sat at the bar for a good 10 minutes before the bartenders even acknowledged me. When they finally came over I ordered two drinks. It took them another ten minutes for them to serve a beer and a bourbon with three small cubes. I placed order for a few apps and it took a long time for the food to come out. This place was not busy at all half the restaurant was empty on a Sunday afternoon. The food was very plain no flavor. When it was time order another round of drinks I had to walk to other side of the bar because the bartender was playing on her phone. Rule number one! Never use your phone as a bartender in a bar when you have customers. At the end I asked for bill. The bill wasn't bad on price pretty standard for this type of place. However I noticed a $2 charge for ice. I asked the bartender about it and she said with a smug look on her face they charge for ice if they put it in a rock glass. Now I don't care about $2 dollars but ice is part of a drink. Small things like that make a difference with customers. I won't go back because of the service and food was not good at all. Overall good. Ambience was office building meets city steakhouse. The food was cooked very well and good quality. I had salmon and my colleagues had steak. Two downsides: 1. Out waitress would disappear for 10-15 mins at a time. She would check on us immediately after one of our courses were delivered, we would finish, and then wait for her to return. 2. They were out of many of the beers we wanted to try. Not a big deal but the odd part was the waitress didn't know which ones. So during our first order, she asked for substitutions. We learned two of the four beers we ordered were out. Then it happened again for the next round. I thought it was odd she wouldn't have a list of what wasn't available. Either that, or the restaurant was just drinking copious amounts of beer and availability was minute by minute. read more

I was shocked to see charges for a Stoli blueberry and a$4 pour charge!! I asked for the manager and asked him what tf the $4 charge was & the error!! I took one of my besties out to eat for his birthday and they are first come first serve. When I arrived I found parking on the street. Parking can be tough so plan ahead. The restaurant is located in this small plaza area. I walked in and was greeted by the nice hostess. I asked if I could sit at the bar and she said yes. Lizzy was our bartender and she was very nice. The restaurant had a brunch special for bottomless mimosas for $12 which was a steal and Lizzy kept them coming. For brunch my friend started with the a spicy shrimp appetizer and he liked it. For entrées he got the STH burger and I got the chicken marsala. We both really enjoyed our meals. The bill came to about $74 total. We both really enjoyed. read more

My recent visit here was pretty good for the most part. The food itself was surprisingly good for a place seemingly known for their craft beer selection than anything else. My server recommended trying the bbq short rib entree and it was an excellent choice. The meat was good but it was the tasty sauce that made it shine. The spinach and corn sides were also good. All around I would order that again. As you would expect the ambiance is lively and there are plenty of TVs and people around. The service I experienced was good and the server did a good job of being relatively available and was very friendly. The one star I docked was for the poor cleaniness factor. When the hostess seated me she placed me on a table that waw full of sticky glass stains. I asked the server to change seats and I was moved over a couple of tables. Unfortunately that table was also dirty and full of sticky stains. The server cleaned it up, but frankly it is gross and lazy to not at least wipe down tables properly. When I eyeballed some other tables around me I saw a couple more that were not cleaned throughly from what I saw. Aside from that the food was good and I would give this place another try, hopefully with cleaner tables next time. read more
