SEE eyewear has always held a special place in my heart. My first visit to this store was back in 2008. My mentor gifted me a visit for an eye exam and a new pair of glasses as a graduation gift. I loved those glasses with my WHOLE heart and wore them throughout the first couple years of my time at Cornell, prior to my prescription changing. While I now only peruse their collections in-store or online from time to time, I have always appreciated how they've kept up with the trends in styles and their wide range/variety in frame styles, shapes, colors, you name it. They offer such unique looks as well and it's just a great eyecare store. Even though I haven't had the insurance that SEE takes to have my frames and exams fully covered here, I never rule them out of rotation when shopping for new frames. I do get a slight percentage off, so I keep that in mind as well. It also helps that any time I've visited their storefront that the staff is AMAZING. I went to their store this past weekend to take a gander at some of their frames and was helped by Lillian - she was just a doll! Super sweet, kind and very knowledgeable of the frames. She helped me determine some pricing of frames that I was interested in as well as looked up my insurance benefits to give me snapshot of what my insurance would cover in their store. Again, my current insurance through my job is not an insurance that they take, however, I do get some discounts with my current insurance. All in all, this eyewear store is just a gem! I've always wanted to visit SEE for glasses and was finally able to make it happen while strolling through Winter Park. I was greeted by the very bubbly Lili who made me feel very welcome. She made some recommendations and even explained my benefits to me. I returned on another day to pick out a pair and, while Lili wasn't there, the staff on site was very nice and helpful. The only thing I would caution is that the glasses tend to be on the pricey side. I love my new glasses and I look forward to visiting in the future. read more

I was walking down Park Avenue with my mom and wondered out loud if I could use up the remainder of my ill-thought-out Healthcare Savings Account at work on a pair or two of trendy glasses from See. Almost like magic, I noticed a sign in the window saying, "Yes! You can use your FSA!' Creepy. And cool. I went in for the first time. So, I was under the impression that you had to be snooty or have a wad of cash on you just to try on the designer frames. Certainly the staff would be watching me like an eagle and treat me like some trash off the street, right? I couldn't have been more wrong. The service at See was friendly, relaxed, and ultra-knowledgeable...and the friendliness wasn't forced at all, like at some places where they know you're gonna drop down some $$$. Instead, it was like shopping for glasses with friends I had known for awhile. "I mean, those are fine, but why don't you look at these?" (Should I mention that the other frames were actually less expensive than the first ones?) "Ew, no, not that color. Do you want me to get your Mom in here so you'll believe me?" "I have these frames that just came in that would be amazing! Try 'em." "Oh! I wanted those too, but I got these over here instead!" It instantly became clear to me that these people were passionate about their frames, which are designed specifically for the See brand by European eyeglass designers. The frames and lenses are actually comparable to other places I've shopped, even "bargain" places like Lens Crafters. Instead of hiding fees on top of everything, See gives you the sticker price upfront and breaks it down for you. They rarely do sales, but I hit at a good time, during a special promotion, so I was able to get a pair of sunglasses extra, on the cheap. They answered all my questions and even let me order everything that I wanted before I could get them my prescription. Once I faxed it over, it was literally days and I was picking up my glasses. They were even nice enough to arrange my pick-up at their International Mall location here in Tampa. As for the quality of the glasses, I really can't complain. They've clattered to the floor countless times and you'd be hard pressed to find a scratch. I highly recommend this See location. The staff is top notch! read more

My optometrist of 15 years sold his business and will retire soon, which sent me on an online search. I wanted to find a good optometrist and a nice place to buy glasses that are stylish but not outrageous while being reasonably priced. When I first came across See on Yelp I was skeptical for no other reason than its location on Park Avenue in Winter Park. Park Avenue is not bargain street, it's expensive lane. Or, at least, it can be expensive. However the reviews on Yelp eased my skepticism, and after my visit, I am a happy dude. I enjoyed everything about the price, including Dr. McGurk, who performed my eye exam, and Kim, who helped me find the glasses that I love. Everyone was welcoming, pleasant and helpful. As for the cost of my two pairs of glasses: almost 500 dollars less at See than the last two pairs I ordered through my previous eye doc. Yep, I'm happy. read more

As long as this place exists, I will not buy glasses anywhere else. Recently, I found a Groupon for SEE and it just so happened I needed new glasses. I went in, without an appointment, and Amy was eager to help me find some new frames. I tried on just about everything and without missing a beat she helped me narrow down the options - no matter how long it took. Once I found the frames I wanted, we sat down and everything was a piece of cake. They send their glasses out to a lab to get the frames coated and what-not, so there's a bit of a wait. I mentioned I'd really like to have them before my trip and the entire staff was nothing but accommodating. I purchased the frames on a Monday and was leaving for my vacation on Friday. An employee called me at least once a day to check in and tell me the status of my glasses. By Thursday, when they realized they may not make it time, they made the decision to go ahead and overnight my frames to my parents house where I would be staying. At NO cost to me. I received my glasses first thing Monday morning with a handwritten note. Seriously above and beyond. Each and every employee at SEE is upbeat, accommodating, and super nice. I couldn't be more pleased. Also - while I did not take them up on this - I'd like to note, they do take insurance and offer financing. read more

SEE is still where it's at! I went in today to find a second pair of cool specs and I was greeted by the charming Amy. She is a fun person to go shopping with! We took our time sorting through the many frames, and many laughs were had. Even though I knew roughly what I wanted, I ended up with about 3 pairs of glasses in the final round. Matte tortoise shell, smoky clear plastic or this unique retro black pair. Back and forth, "These or these, or these?" I wasn't rushed, and the other staff members were helpful in giving their opinions too. Though it wasn't until I finally asked to step outside, into the sunlight, that I could make my final decision! When the natural sunlight hit my would-be new frames it all came together! I'm thrilled that this store is around. When I visited this store, I was confused as to why they had so few online reviews. After visiting five other area eyewear stores, I was a bit hesitant to go here because I assumed they would be way out of my budget. In addition to their stellar customer service, they have quality eyewear, well worth the price! Don't be fooled by their location: they have affordable eyewear at a way better quality than other, more well-known stores. Just got my first pair of prescription glasses here and the staff there are so extremely friendly and helpful. They have a bunch of frames to choose from and you can customize your sunglass lenses and really make them your own. Hardly anybody around town can match their prices for prescription glasses or their selection. I'll definitely be back for my prescription eyeglasses in a few months. read more

5/5 stars for the optometrist, Dr. McGurk. I needed a new eye doctor when I moved to Orlando last year. SEE has great reviews online, and when I browsed their collection I saw a few frames I wanted to try. On my first visit I had an eye exam and picked up a pair of glasses and prescription sunglasses. The price was on par for what I've paid in the past at other places. I was impressed with the service from both Dr. McGurk and the staff at SEE. One employee spent so much time helping me try on different frames and giving me great feedback. My appointment with Dr. McGurk was fast but thorough. She's so personable and really knows her stuff. My second appointment was just with Dr. McGurk. She gave me really great advice regarding alternative brands of eye drops to help me battle my seasonal allergies. I really like the staff at SEE, but the entire collection is ultra modern. If you're looking for more classic or traditional frames, this probably isn't the place for you. I'd also suggest some sort of a waiting area for people with eye exams (the chairs and tables seem to be for people trying on glasses). Regardless, I'm going to keep coming back just for Dr. McGurk (also, SEE is open 7 days a week - super convenient!). read more

I have a friend who works on Park Avenue, whom I run across from time to time. Each time I see him, I get "eyeglass envy." He told me about See, so I checked it out today to "See" for myself. They have quite a distinctive selection and it appeared that they have a very professional staff. For my next eyeglass purchase, I'll be sure to See what they can do for me. I've been wearing glasses or contacts since I was 13. Never in my life have I had a pair that received so many compliments than the pair I got at See. I love that over the past decade or so, glasses have become 'cool'. See has a nice variety with kind of a 'Euro' feel to them. The staff is super outgoing and not afraid to give an opinion and they spend time with you to make sure you really are happy with your decision. They also seem to really like their jobs, which is getting to be a rare trait around town. I have a difficult face to fit glasses to, but they helpful girl (I wish I remembered her name...Shelly?) spent plenty of time with me and my wife. Anyway, I finally chose a pair that 'popped' and after a year, I couldn't be happier. As I said, I have complete strangers stop me and ask where I got them. My wife also bought a super cool pair of sunglasses the same day. The only negative was that it did take longer than I am used to for the finished product to come back, but it wasn't so long that I would hold it against them. read more

Although the frames are cute and inexpensive, the lenses are poor quality. The first time I purchased glasses here, it took 3 tries to get the right RX. The store blamed my eye doctor, but they were selling poor quality lenses. The remedy was to purchase the expensive Hi-Def lenses, which worked. Recently I stupidly returned for sunglasses (not high-def--those are expensive!). The same thing happened! The lenses strained my eyes and caused a headache. I came in several times for adjustments before the manager finally refunded my money, which is not their normal policy. In the future I will shop where there's a 100% guarantee. This optical shop doesn't guarantee satisfaction, and now I know why. read more

SEE not only has the best glasses around...ranging from super hip and trendy to very classic...but the best people work there too. They have so much fun with their clients and make it a total experience choosing glasses. Absolutely everyone who works there is a total delight. Ever since moving to FL over five years ago, SEE has been my go-to for eyeglasses. They have the cutest and most original selection of anywhere I've seen and the friendliest employees around. Shelly, Amy, Matt and Milena have always all been incredibly helpful, skilled, caring and honest with me throughout all three pairs of glasses and my most recent sunglasses purchase. Another thing I love about this place is that there are only a limited number of the exact frames you select, so it's pretty rare that you'd ever run into someone else with your glasses.
