Visited See Eyewear in Winter Park on 2/26/11 and was helped by Amy, who was polite and friendly. Not a super expansive selection of frames, but some interesting and unique styles. Chose a pair, handed over my prescription from my opthamologist, paid, and left. By 3/7 I still had not heard anything from the store, so I called and got Milana who said she was just then going through a huge box of glasses and thought mine might be in it. Milana said she would call and let me know. No call back that day, but Milana called on 3/8 and left a message saying my glasses were ready for pickup. I went into the store on 3/10 and picked up my glasses from a young man who seemed to be in quite a rush. The transaction was so hasty that I was out of the store and in my car before I realized he had not returned my original opthamologist prescription to me. I immediately called back to the store and spoke to the young man, who at first said he didn't remember me, then suddenly remembered me but said my prescription was "missing". I asked if he would look for it and put it in the mail to me and he said he would and would call me back to update me. He never called back. I called the store on 3/11 at 10:28am and spoke to Shelly, who did not know anything about my issue but said she would look into it and call me back. She never called back. I called the store on 3/12 at 2:13pm and spoke to Milana, who didn't know anything about my issue but put me on hold to look in my "file". She came back on the line to tell me that my original prescription had "probably been misfiled" and could not be found. As it costs me an office visit and $50 to get a replacement prescription from my opthamologist, I asked if See would reimburse me for that expense. Milana said no, but that she would call my opthamologist and have them send me a replacement prescription. I do not have high hopes at this point, but will update this review if See ever gets their act together and fixes this. By the way, the glasses I got from them are just ok, a little flimsy. Be careful if you decide to patronize this business, and I would HIGHLY recommend NOT giving them anything that you don't want lost! read more
