Despite clear agreements and delivering all work, I was never paid for my services. For the Haskell St. project (6000 sq ft), I completed 17 pages including a planting palette, full planting plan, and multiple 3D renderings. For the Mariposa Montessori school project in Austin, I created 9 full 3D renderings at a discounted rate-- but was never compensated. Both projects involved weeks of effort, yet payment was withheld. I even have proof were Angela, the owner, said she really enjoys working with me-- which makes it even more disappointing that she chose to ignore my invoice instead of honoring our agreement. Nobody should be treated this way-- especially after providing honest, hard work. Angela, the owner, should understand that it is not right to withhold payment for services rendered. As a homeowner considering their services, you may want to think about whether you want to support a company that treats their subcontractors this way. My husband got tired of the hill being overrun with brush so he cleared about 20 sq ft and made piles for the landscapers to remove. Instead of removing the sticks so that they could mow the hill, they literally mowed around the stick piles. They could've at least thrown them into the brush nearby. My apartment community used to look cared after but not anymore.

As far as I can tell, everything past the standard mow is at a $20/hour rate, which is fantastic for a local, organic gardener. I've been very happy with the quality of work as well. We have a list and we're chipping away at it, but I think I've found my guy for basic yard maintenance.
