Have come to this location to get a few custom filled one pound box of chocolates. Service has been pretty good. Only one employee yesterday on a Friday evening and there was a bit of a rush in the shop. A party that held up the line while paying and was still shopping for several minutes. A few customers walked in as that party finally left I got the happy rewards during this visit and was asked to wait until the other customers were helped to get my rewards card. There's no reason not to love See's. We had friends, with a very healthy sweet-tooth, in town, so what better gift than California-made chocolates? Dark chocolate nuts and chews was my choice for them. It is healthier than milk, isn't it? Either one, you cannot go wrong. At usd 31per pound, it's well worth every penny. Wanting to buy some sugar free candy for an xmas present I swung by See's. This is a quick and easy stand-alone location inside a big plaza with plenty of parking. The staff working here was so friendly I was pretty blown away by the customer service. Everything looked so good and they offered samples. I picked up a variety of sugar free items such as bars, peanut brittle, and some chocolate covered almonds. Back when my grandma was alive she'd always have a box of the sugar free peanut brittle. They've really nailed down making sugar free taste legit and it's pretty much as good as the real deal brittle. I hope the other items are just as good! read more

If someone tells you they don't like candy, and I mean good candy, walk away from them right now. Candy, especially chocolate is the key to happiness. If your not into chocolate, they do have fruity bon bons, suckers, hard candies, peanut brittles, ect. Located in the Promenade in Garden Grove e in a stand alone See;s candy facing Chapman ave, with plenty of parking. And its not inside a mall, so its easy in and easy out. Their hours are weird. They close early, really early. maybe around 5:00ish I have been eating Sees candy since I was a kid. I would test the candy by pressing on it, slicing it in half or Id go for it and take a bite, and it was a huge surprise what was inside. If I didn't like it, I would put it back together and it went back in the box and hope nobody notices. This drove my family CRAZY!! Now, as an adult I know what pieces I like and don't like and customize my box myself. 1/2 pound is about $13.50 and you can fit a lot of pieces inside the box. If you like surprises they sell assorted milk chocolates, assorted mixed chocolates, nuts and chews all which are pre wrapped and ready to grab off the shelf. Service here is good. The ladies that work here are always helpful and always offer me a free piece of candy. This is my one stop destination especially on Mothers day to pick out a yummy box of sweet chocolates for the most important woman in my life. Its See's. What's not to like? The candies are exquisite. They have just about every chocolate covered candy you could want. I prefer all things with nuts. My favorite is the California Toffee. It's almonds, toffee and milk or dark chocolate. Both are good. I get a pound each visit. It's a 2-3 bite candy, so you get your chocolate fix with one piece. Nuts are good for your cholesterol. Have you ever received a one pound box of See's Candies assorted chocolates during the holiday season? It comes packaged in that tacky, red and gold leaf wrapping paper. You open up the box and inside are an assortment of milk and dark chocolates, with some nuts, chews, brittles, and toffees. It's actually one the earliest memories of my childhood. A family friend would give us a box and I'd tear that shit up like ripping open a box of gifts on Christmas morning. Ah, the good ol' days. Now, that same box is almost 20 bucks, purchased in store or online. (http://www.sees.com) I don't know very many people that don't know about See's Candies. Founded in 1921 by Charles See and his wife Florence, the spectacled, silver haired old lady that's pictured on their boxes is Charles' mother - Mary See. With a sight grin on her face, she has symbolized the old fashioned virtues of homemade quality and friendly service for almost 95 years. See's Candies had such a strong reputation and brand recognition that billionaire Warren Buffet purchased the company in 1972. TOFFEE-ETTES This can of crunchy, Danish buttery toffee and roasted whole almonds smothered in milk chocolate and chopped almonds has to be my all time favorite item in the entire store. So damn good that you won't want to share. One summer, I must have killed like a can every 3 days or so. I miss those days when you can eat like a kid again. Nowadays, it's like obesity galore, with "my increased blood sugar is gonna give me diabetes" or to quote Garfield the cat - "diets are DIE with a T." SMH. The only other item I tend to purchase here are the Little Pops, 30 per box. These tiny, hard candy treats have the same flavor of the lollypops, but only in a smaller snack size. Flavors include Butterscotch, Vanilla, and Chocolate - but I prefer to enjoy the Café Latté. The service at this remote location is pretty good. It's never as busy as the ones you find inside the malls. The associates here practically shove samples into your mouth. It's awfully tempting and hard to resist, so come inside with your guard up, otherwise it's gonna almost make you THICK to your stomach. LOLLIPOP LOLLIPOP, OH LOLLI LOLLI LOLLI, LOLLIPOP *POP* On July 18, 2012, See's set the Guinness World Record for "World's Largest Lollypop." The lolly was made at the See's lollypop factory at Burlingame, CA. It took 12 hours to cook and over a week to cool. It stood 16'7" tall, weighed 7,003 lb. and was chocolate flavored. See's Candies hold special memories for me. So I wanted to continue making special memories for my mom. It was her birthday and I planned on giving her some See's candy. However, shame on See's Candies for making my decision so darn difficult as I could have easily bought every item in the store (smile). Luckily they had everything arranged so beautifully that I was able to buy not just one special package but two special items that would be nice surprises. Now their customer service was awesome because I was greeted when I entered. A guy from out of nowhere came and asked if I needed help and I said that I was just browsing to see what I wanted. People waiting on me were very patient! I am allergic to walnuts and have to hand pick my candy. They had lots of new flavors. The white chocolate eggnog was really good. I love the sugar free peanut brittle. It's a shame See's makes so few sugar free selections. I bought my son the sugar free peanut brittle, sugar free box butterscotch Lollypops, sugar free candy bars & sugar free dark chocolate covered almonds. Hoping See's decides to help diabetics have more choices. The candy bars are pretty small 1.5 oz., I got him 3. I would have given them 5 stars, if I could have gotten more sugar free chocolates. The line outside is understandable. Once we got inside and ordered a box the guy never asked if we wanted anything else just rushed us to the register. I understand it's COVID and Valentines weekend but take a minute to ask customers if there is anything else they want. Had such a great experience coming to this location. When you come in, they offer a free sample of one of their chocolates. We actually had some kids with us and they gave the whole family a chocolate each, so I appreciate that. They were also very patient with me as I looked back and forth trying to decide what to buy! I visited this store several times before but had a horrible experience today. The employee Sabrina was very rude, and because we weren't understanding her poor explanation of the current promotion going on, she began to show irritation. Instead of answering our questions, she kept repeating other details we were already fully aware of. She loudly sighed at us and gave us rude looks as she smirked. I'm not going to a candy store to be treated this way, and whoever is managing this store and brand needs to take better care in training their employees to have a basic sense of respect. Pretty good. It's pretty much like all See's so nothing to rave about. They are friendly. The only thing I didn't care for is when I went there on the day before Valentine's (one of the busiest days of the year) and I grabbed a bunch of items, I had to hold them waiting in the long line. After I finally get to the front of the line, I notice they have baskets off to the side. I asked why they weren't where we come in so we could use them (other customers were holding a lot of stuff too). I was told that they couldn't put them near the front door because they could be a tripping hazard. She was polite about it, but seriously...put them outside (there was a huge line) or the lady that greeted us at the door could have asked us if we needed one or direct us to them. Interestingly, as I was inquiring about this, the manager (who didn't know I was asking about it, asked if we could move so she could grab a basket for someone in line that had a bunch of items. This could have been done for others. While they didn't technically do anything wrong or bad here, they could have had this planned out better to accommodate the rush. They should be experienced enough by now to know what people need. read more

I have to give this place 5 stars, not only because I worked here one holiday season but because of all the See's I have been to, they have the best customer service. Maritza and the girls are amazing, lovely ladies! They treat every one of their customers with respect and pack their custom boxes neatly and quickly! They know a lot about See's, chocolate in general, and can help you out. They also love their regulars (and newbies of course). This location is usually closed on Sundays, except around big holidays.
