I was so thrilled to find this location! It was easy to get to especially since it's part of an outdoor mall. There are numerous parking options. I had noticed that See's has a lot of themed boxes, I was thrilled to see that they had one that features healthcare designs with a big THANK YOU. I really wanted the soft center dark chocolates, the gentleman that greeted me actually selected those and put them in 2 one lb boxes and added the banner to both boxes. He really went over and above. I had come here to offer a treat to my amazing orthopedist and his crew for my knee replacement surgery! My doctor was very humbled and thrilled! This is my favorite See's Candies, although honestly, I've never walked into one that I didn't like! The staff here are extra nice, which makes every visit even more special. I always come on my birthday and during holidays. Today, I customized a spring box filled with all my favorites. I always tell them the story of how my dad would buy my mom the biggest box of See's for every holiday, especially Valentine's Day. My mom wasn't really a big chocolate eater, and she only liked the nuts and chews, so I got to enjoy all the cream-centered chocolates myself. Those chocolates became my favorite, and the memories of them are so special that I love sharing them with my children and I hope they will share them with their children too. It's so hard to choose but I narrowed it down to what you see in the box. The cost of their 1 lb box of nuts and chews have become cost prohibitive. In fact, I suggest if you get a 1 lb or 2 lb box of candy, don't buy a pre boxed one, pick what you want in your box. I find I get too many duplicates of the same pieces. It's close to my house, has lots of parking space and always well stocked with great customer service. It's at the Noho West right by Trader Joe's. As far as chocolate goes, See's is on the top of my list. Growing up in NY, it was all about "Russell Stovers" for gift boxes and special occasions. It took this girl a while to drink the "kool-aid!" It's like "twizzlers vs. red vines..." (total NY vs. CA thang). But I digress. Bottom line, this location is small but mighty. Fully stocked for the holidays and great samples. Friendly staff! As ubiquitous as See's is, this is my first time in one! I heard they have nice assorted chocolate boxes so we stopped by for something nice as a Easter gift. Big selection and the staff helped us choose. By the way apparently it's a See's thing to give samples; I didn't even ask they offered! This store is in the new Noho West shopping complex. You walk in, and see the cleanest store. You're offered a chocolate sample -- and help! So appreciated. See's is always dressed for the season from Valentines to St. Paddy's Day, to the holidays. I've always found myself coming here in the Spring and getting one-pound box of box of Nuts & Chews for Easter, which is my dad's favorite. In fact, since my grandparents were such fans, See's evokes a sense of nostalgia for both of us. On my last visit, I additionally got some Easter truffles, along with beaded jellybeans. There were some tough choices, everything looked so good! With help, you can always customize boxes. There's also cards for any occasion. This year marks them being in business for 100 years. I think they have things down by now. In the back of my mind I wish they would allow their employees to enter the modern world when it comes to uniforms but as they so obediently answer when asked...it's "tradition." Isn't See's always a five star rating? As soon as you walk in to the bright beautiful store, clean and stocked perfect. You are immediately greeted and customer service is always impeccable. I was asking about sugar free options and was shown what they had available. Unfortunately, the boxes of sugar-free candy both have nuts in them one peanuts and one walnuts. Since I can't eat nuts that wasn't an option. He did show me a candy bar they had milk chocolate and dark chocolate both sugar-free and no nuts. They still give out your free sample which is always nice, today happen to be truffles Due to Covid the samples come individually wrapped. Most of the time at other locations I was walking in and it would feel down. I had the pleasure of walking into this location today. After a meeting with my chiropractor. I had a couple of questions which was a little bit embarrassing that I didn't know my grandmother's favorite chocolate but there's so many. I can say that I was greeted upon entering this location and was asked if I would like a sample by one of the sweetest genuine smiles that I've seen in a long time. Her name happened to be GG. She was so welcoming it kind of made me feel OK to ask some crazy question about the chocolates. She went ahead and proceeded to help the young lady in line ahead of me and at the same time Melanie came out when I say she took her time guys. She took her time to explain everything, and just by her welcoming energies, it didn't feel like I was bothering for that. My question were a bit off. Now don't get me wrong, but I look at the shape of the candy and that's how I can kind of figure out what it is, but when you are standing in front of a stadium full of treats you really don't know. I have no idea of who was in charge of training and on boarding these two members to the team, but they need to teach at every sees candy training. I recommend the Kona and the polar bear claw (my favorite). You can choose per piece or by weight. See's also offers holiday items. Which are so cute. I have been a See's candy lover for 57 years ever since I was a child and my Mom introduced it to me. She ate it when she was a child. It is my favorite candy and no other chocolate compares. I was really bummed when they tore down the store on Laurel Canyon Boulevard that was close to the old Sears. Then when I saw this store being built I was so happy and I have even going here since it opened. This store by far has the best staff of any See's Candy location I have ever been too. Yaritza "YATI" who has helped me on several occasions has gone above and beyond in providing me with the BEST excellent customer service I have received in any retail store, ever!! She is kind, compassionate, caring, thoughtful, professional, considerate and has that extra special something that you just don't find in any retail service personnel nowadays. I have had severe health problems this last year and recently started going into the store monthly to purchase candy for my Doctors and their Nurse's and secretaries for the help they have given me because I have a lot of medical complication's, and I am currently in treatment for a inflammatory arthritis condition that has really negatively impacted my life and sometimes made it difficult for me to even walk. Who doesn't love See's Candy?!!!! . My mom always taught me that a little bit of kindness goes along way. YATI has gone above and beyond and even gave me a box of candy for the nurses at no charge. I was shocked. No one has ever done that for me ever in any store. See's Candy is lucky to have her as an employee and to be the face of kindness when customers enter the North Hollywood location. Not much of a chocolate eater but decided to stroll my way into this shop while I waited for some food. Was greeted by Melanie and offered a sample. This shop was so clean and the floors were so shinny. I ended up purchasing some salted nuts, some individual chocolate piece's and a couple of lollipops. Melanie was nice and knew her chocolates. The young man helping another customer had extensive knowledge of the chocolates too, I think his name was Joe. This made me think do they go to school as chocolate concierge to work at See's?! I love sees candies so this review is more so regarding the staff, I'm in there today, waiting for this sweet older woman to finish ordering her chocolates and i hear the staff member ask if she wanted them sealed or wrapped and sealed, when it's my time to order mine i pick them out just like the woman did, and the guy says the weight to the cashier and sends me to the line didn't ask if i wanted anything sealed or wrapped, i bought about a half pound as well as a couple boxes, so then i pay leave get to the car and realize that the guy put my chocolates in a damn bag, it's 90 degrees we're in the valley and you hand me a half pound of chocolate in a fucking bag, maybe I'm the asshole for buying chocolate at 1 pm on a 90 degree day, maybe the guy didn't think i would give a fuck because i wasn't a white lady, who knows... i guess i should have spoken up, or maybe the worker should have enough sense to properly package chocolate on a 90 degree day. I was discriminated when I went to the See's Candy store in North Hollywood to buy candy for Mother's Day. I entered the store. There was no other customers present at the time. I was offered a piece of candy from one of the young ladies working there. She offered me a chocolate with a cherry. I said no thank you I am allergic to cherries. I asked her do you have any thing else. She went to the counter. She offered some other chocolate. I popped it in my mouth then she asked me how she could help me. I told her that I wanted to buy chocolate box for my mom; and a box of chocolates for the nurses at the hospital. She took me to where the boxes where and she was following close behind me which I thought odd. I was looking but I could not find a chocolate box with soft centers so I turned around to ask her. I jumped because I was startled . Instead of the the salesperson there was a security guard right behind me staring at me. I was starting to speak and the security guard laughed when she saw how surprised I was. I said I was speaking to the salesperson. I am not sure why but the security guard said "Sure you were". Why did the salesperson called the security guard? Because I refused the first candy she offered me?. Because of the color of my skin? Is that a reason to call a security guard? I was dressed in my work clothes. I was polite to the sales person . I was racially profiled and I would like to know if anyone else had similar experiences at this See's Candy store or others. If See's Candy Company has any doubts about my experience there I am sure that they can review the cameras. I went into Sees today to buy some candy. Like most places there's a bit of a line. There were four employees working in the store at the time. One standing by the door,two cashiers and only one person behind the counter helping people. I am currently physically disabled due to an injury. But the line was not long and it was moving, until it got to the lady in front of me. She was ordering box after box after box apparently for gifts for Valentine's Day. I was leaning against the wall with my cane in considerable pain and I realized she was going to take a very long time. I thought another employee that was standing around might be helpful but they were not. And there was no place to sit. I was unable to stand any longer due to the physical discomfort and I had to leave. I said something to an employee standing at the door, asking him why there was no chair available?
