Mixed 1lb box of dark chocolates (scotchmallows, dark peanut butter, dark chocolate almond clusters)
    PRISCILLA Y.

This store has the best customer service every time I go in. They follow Covid protocols and only allow limited number of customers inside at a time. You can pick up prepackaged box of chocolates or pick and choose your own from the display inside. For Valentine's Day I got a mixed 1lb box of dark chocolates (scotchmallows, dark peanut butter, dark chocolate almond clusters). The staff is super patient and takes the time to pack each piece of chocolate in the box. If you don't want a full box of chocolate (I mean who doesn't), you can just purchase individually and weighed by pound. They are still giving out samples in little plastic bags due to Covid. Pro tip: get your Valentine's Day chocolate early... maybe a week early. There was a queue literally all day in front of the store on Valentine's Day.

    Great lollipops!

Got some lollipops for the kids and chocolate for the family with exceptional service from the male and female staffers working. They were following Covid protocols and offered us individually bagged samples. They also were very polite and patient as a customer came in and accosted the female staff member after being told of a $2 charge to recreate a gifted box of chocolates to her liking. Despite the customer's threat of (and omg I kid you not!) calling corporate and *the news media,* they were gracious and patient with the customer. Love this store and their service

hmm....if they had a larger selection of chocolates (&more sugar-free options...it IS 2012 after all now, people!), i'd be happier here.....

One of the cashier guys is very incompetent. But they gave me two samples so I will give them two starts instead of one.

It was crisp with a nice brûlée on top, but not thick like many of the typical Kouign-amanns you get around L.A. The iced latte was well-balanced. Espresso to milk. The espresso that they're using is good. There was a line out the door on a Tuesday morning in June. They just celebrated 5-years of business back in March 2026. Kudos!!! I'll be back to try some of their other croissants. The atmosphere is okay. Fairly bland but the product they're selling--croissants--is where it's at. Street parking in the area.

They regularly sell out of certain croissants, and a line out the door is regular. Street parking is relatively easy, but be careful cus they're quick with the tickets here... Their espresso drinks are consistently very good. Good espresso, good flavors, etc. Tastes like you know exactly what went into it. Matcha latte - the matcha is beautiful. They hand whisk behind the bar and color is gorgeous. This is definitely one of their more expensive drinks to make, and price reflects. There's interior seating (and some outdoor), but it's usually noisy and bustling. Much better to socialize. I would take someone here to impress them, because it seems they're always in the business of impressing me.

So we decided to give it a try. I'm really picky with it comes to scones. But these scones were perfect! Soft on the inside, nice outer crust. Both the maple and blueberry scones are full of flavor. I think the maple is my favorite. The lovely girl that was helping us gave us a chocolate chip cookies for free! Which was so sweet of her. We told her we came a long way to try this restaurant out. I can't wait to go back and try their French onion soup. And other pastries too.

Our previous experiences were great, however this time was extremely disappointing. For the price (~$16 per sandwich on Toast), you would expect more substance but this was how it was looking. One measly slice of ham and cheese, and the butter barely tasted present. I'm bummed that such a great recipe has been reduced to this poor excuse of a jamon buerre. Had I known this was what I was going to receive, then I would've spent the money on groceries to make SEVERAL mediocre ham sandwiches instead. The two stars come from the attitude of the server, Karla. She was extremely friendly and that was the only highlight of today's visit.

Old Town Pasadena, California…read more Next to Nana's Green Tea, Delight is A very good French bakery, no breads, but Delight feeds the pastry hunger in me -- all the pastries, cakes and gelati are excellent. There is a smallish macaron counter with popular flavors and can be boxed up to bring home. The house made sandwiches (focaccia), breakfasts and lunch items are very good to excellent also and with great prices. With about 15 tables (a couple of tables for larger groups), there's a steady stream of people here and it would be a matter of time when lines will form out the door. Service is super attentive. The minute you come in the person behind the counter comes to assist. Ohhh almost forgot, savory pastries (caprese and artichoke and cheese) are super well-made and the crusts delightfully light and crispy :-) I keep coming back. End of Yelp.

The large display of pastries is sure to dazzle, and we spend a good minute looking over the multitude of offerings in the case. Service was fast and efficient, and we sat ourselves. CAPRESE DANISH: 5/5. Perfectly balanced flavors. Tomatoes were fresh and the balsamic was bright. HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT: 4/5. I know it would have been SO ood if it were warmed up and the cheese were a little melty. KOUIGN AMANN: 3/5. My favorite pastry. Perhaps a personal preference, but I wish the sugar were a little more caramelized. It also was not as rich as I am accustomed to this pastry being.

We were a few stores down from Laderach and we can smell the sweet scent of chocolates from a far. We decided to stop by and check out this fancy and yummy chocolate shop. As soon as we came in Laderach, the sales people were welcoming and greeted us. They also offered some samples and any sample of our choosing. We tried the strawberry chocolate and milk chocolate. They were both delicious. The chocolate was perfect. It was quality chocolate and semi sweet and not too rich. The combination with the dried strawberries were a perfect blend and balance. We left the store and purchased a couple of the pre packed milk chocolate and the strawberry chocolate. We can't wait to comeback to try other types of chocolates on Laderach's menu.

There's never enough menus to go around while waiting to order. As a nice gesture, I let those behind me have our menu after we had decided and described the dish I wanted to the women working the counter. This dish was written on their menu by name, a melon prosciutto bowl, but she was very confused and eventually keyed in a prosciutto scramble which was not what I wanted and not listed anywhere on their menu (I double checked). There's not many tables, and nobody seems to clear them with any urgency even though there are always many people waiting to sit down. The last three times I have been there, the food took at least 30-40 minutes to come out after ordering, which is insane for a counter service cafe with a dozen tables. Any time I've asked how much longer on our food, the staff is very dismissive and rude and just barks 'we're busy!' .... OK? You're literally ALWAYS busy, is there not any way you can plan or staff for this in advance? The food runners always seem confused about what food is going where and are inconsistent with bringing silverware. The cherry on top of this last visit is that the rest of my party got their food (again, after about 35 minutes), with a promise that my dish was 'on its way'. We waited ten minutes before approaching the hostile staff at the counter to find... my dish, the scramble that I didn't even order and wasn't on their menu, had been sitting already made for the whole ten minutes. Nobody thought to grab it and deliver it, and when we asked about the dish and wait, were met with hostile shrugs and blank stares. Again, the food is delicious, but I won't be back until they fix their disastrous service and attitude.
