The good: I like that they have seasonal flavors and offerings. You get a free sample of a whole chocolate piece when you come in the store. Easter's almost here so right now the store has tons of cute pastel Easter candies and chocolate bunnies. I got 2 chocolate lollipops for my kids for under $3 each that were inside metal easter eggs. I also got a box of 10-12 chocolates for around $18 and selected each type (I chose ones that aren't commonly found in their variety box). I tried pineapple truffle, apple pie truffle, peanut butter dark chocolate, marzipan, peppermint marshmallow, and a few other ones. The bad: I wish the chocolates were slightly less sweet. The interesting: They spell lollipops as "lollypops." They started in LA so this is a great gift option if you want to give someone from oversees something local. read more

I would consider this location a small store, but it has everything you will find at any of their larger locations. Once I walked in, I felt the same vibe and smelled the chocolate. The interior is clean with white walls and shiny floors. All the colors you see are from the merchandise and displays; priced and organized. I visited prior to Valentine's Day, so all the merchandise was in red and pink colors. The wall on the left hand side was the boxed chocolates and candy. The individually sold chocolates are behind the glass counter on the right hand side. There are a couple small, round displays with cards and small packaged candies in the center of the store. The staff of four or five were friendly. One of them was tasked with handing out the complimentary chocolate samples as shoppers walked in. Today was a peanut butter chocolate heart. So good. If you've ever been into a See's Candies you'll know that they are all pretty much exactly the same. Ever since I was a child, going into the various See's Candies around the LA area with my parents, once inside they all look exactly alike. And, I guess that's a good thing. This location is no different. It looks just like every See's Candies I've ever been into. The staff here are all super nice. The moment you walk into the shop they offer you a sample See's candy that this chain is known to do. From there, you can decide whatever type of candy you want to buy. In terms of layout, they have a large selection of boxed candies along the left wall. There you can choose from all kinds of prepackaged varieties. Easy enough. To the right of the shop, they have the candies laid out, where you can choose one or one hundred of whatever specific candy you prefer. Your choice. This location is easy to get to. It's located right off of the parking lot in the Peninsula Shopping Center. So, if you're looking for the candies that See's offers, this is your place to go on the hill. read more

Love this See's candies location inside the Peninsula center! The store is very clean and organized. They have a pretty good selection of chocolates although sometimes they're sold out of certain items you might find online. I come here often for gifts and the service here is excellent. I am thrilled to see this location become an everyday fixture here in Palos Verdes. See's is as good as it gets when it comes to fresh homemade candy treats. Everyone has a favorite, mine include the molasses' chips and the almond covered toffetees. I also like that they have a variety of coconut candy. YUM! See's Candies is back on the hill! Years ago, we had one in the mall and since then, it's been seasonal locations but this new location is here to stay! It's located next to Morgan's Jewelers in the Peninsula Center. It has a candy counter where you can pick your own chocolates along with their traditional offerings of prepackaged candy. I went on their opening day and they were well staffed and very helpful. It's just like the one in Torrance on Hawthorne. Very happy to have one so close to home as See's always makes a great gift! read more

I specifically want to thank Dominique at the RHE store today. She was BEYOND helpful, friendly, professional, and interested in making sure I was able to purchase the lollipops I went in for. She also reminded me that the Halloween candy is now in and certain items will sell out quickly (so I also left with a bag of the cute little chocolate pumpkins). Her enthusiasm for Sees Candies is contagious and thru her eyes I see what an outstanding company it is! Besides that she told me about a new chocolate candy I like--that's now made in dark chocolate. So here I went in to get these lollipops for a casual weekly meeting where I supply the ever popular Sees lollipops as a treat (They are great for an informal setting because u don't touch anything, no mess, and people aren't tempted to side convos because they have a sucker in their mouth!) and I left with extra product, knowledge of new product availability and a higher opinion of See's Candy as a whole! All in about 6 minutes, thanks to Dominique! I specifically want to put Dominique up on a pedestal for her above and beyond customer service. She could teach anyone a thing or two. I walked out of that store determined to up MY game at work (& outside of work) to keep up with her fine example!
