It currently has 95 locations, with nine more to open in Arizona, Florida, and Nevada. This store has been open for a while now. Observationally, it seems to be quite busy when school lets out. I ordered a simple milk-tea. The young ladies minding the store were polite and efficient. The product tasted good. This was my first purchase from this store; and this was my first interaction with brand. I think that the size of this store is appropriate for the type of business they do. I'm glad this plaza has a boba place. It's a fun drink to sip on while you're shopping! My House Milk Tea with Boba was really good. I probably should have ordered the large. Love coming here for a quick boba/caffeine fix. Their boba is always just the right amount of chewiness, and a good size. I recently did a pickup order for a Jasmine Tea Float, which is supposed to have a scoop of ice cream on top, and the app said my drink would be ready at a certain time. I arrived about 4 minutes after that time, and when I received my drink, I didn't see the ice cream on top. The baristas were very nice about it, and told me to poke my straw in to see that it was there, likely just melted. One of them also offered to give me another scoop of ice cream on top, which I gladly accepted. The price was fair. The sealed cup art was cute. The bad: The boba wasn't as soft as I would like. It was like an al dente boba. There is no outdoor seating. Inside there is one chair and there is a bench area on the wall so this is a buy and go tea place rather than somewhere you could sit and hang out, get work done, or study. I use to love it until I got food poisoning last summer. I read up on it and if boba is not made correctly you can get super sick which I did. I had to lightly demand for a refund. Which they did do the next day. I was throwing up for a couple hours the day before. I barely made it home and had to pull over to get sick (about 2hrs after ingesting) it was my only item I had so, there was no need to narrow what caused it. Haven't been back since. read more

This is a solid boba spot, but I prefer the mom and pop boba shops because my preference is to support small owned businesses over chain restaurants. I give them 4 stars because they don't have any seating inside or outside to enjoy your boba with a friend. Ok, they have a bench along the wall, but that's giving wait here for takeout feels. More than come and sit and enjoy tea and relax. Other traditional boba houses I've gone too have board games and lounge chairs and books even. That's what I'd expect going to a boba shop, the ambiance. I'd recommend coming here for a quick take out boba if you're in the mood and nearby. However, this matcha jasmine milk tea with sea salt cold foam was the bomb. It was like they were thinking of my favorite things and put them all together in one drink. This isn't the first time we received poor service. If it was, we would not be so frustrated because bad days happen. They were busy and we were directed to order from the online kiosk inside the store. Although we walked in first, we agreed because we needed a 30 seconds to decide if we wanted extra mango on one of the acai bowls. So we quickly ordered at the kiosk and waited. We waited for the entire line behind us to have their orders taken by a cashier and be served before us. Then when the second wave of drinks started to go out we inquired if they had started our order. We were told that they were working on it right then. We waited and watched the girl that just came in receive her dragon bowl. We walked up to cancel our order and were told they were starting it now and they were just told we were here. Obviously we were in the store because they told us to use the kiosk, we never left. We asked for a refund. After some discussion they agreed and offered a coupon. We left without the coupon or acai bowls. Since this has happened more than once to us, not as egregious as today, we will not return. And by the way, don't waste your time walking over to jamba juice. they never have bananas. read more

I wanted to provide an update to my review. All good, still the great same service and quality all around. This place deserves more love. I see lot of young and energetic people working here. My kids and myself love visiting this place which is close to many of the classes that they take near by. Always active, busy and happening especially because of the students that visit here quite often. I hope and wish sometime they start serving popcorn chicken like some of the other boba time branches. Couple of times, I have requested for changing the sweetness or redo my drink because it is way too sweet etc, they have always been patient and happily gave me a new drink. Such customer service will go a long way and I hope this place continues to do what it does great all the time. Adding more photos this time that was taken around night time. Just finished a hike up in Palos Verdes and looking for a refreshing and well-earned treat? This spot is my first choice when it comes to delicious and unique boba drinks and milk tea! My favorite is the jasmine tea float from their Tea Float Series that features a beautiful, floral jasmine tea topped with sweet cream foam and a mini scoop of matcha ice cream. The tea itself is not sweetened but the toppings and boba lend the perfect amount of sweetness to create the perfect balance. This location is convenient and only a ~5 minute drive to some of the most popular hikes in the area. There is ample parking but it can be tricky to find a spot on the weekends since there are many shops in the center. If you have peanut allergies or any nut allergy, be careful. I ordered a mango smoothie and my throat became itchy and I had problems breathing so I had to be rushed to the ER. I called the restaurant when I felt those symptoms and they said they use the same blender for both the peanut drinks and regular drinks. All restaurants I know have separate blenders/utensils for allergies but I guess not this one. read more

One of the worst bobas I've ever had. Very hard and not chewy. It did not taste fresh. Pretty expensive too considering how bad it was.

While boba time is fairly new in this plaza, the franchise has been around since the early 2000's. I remember always hanging out at boba time in my high school days many many years ago :p so nostalgic! We're very happy to see one up here in PV. We got: - Milk Tea slush w/ boba (super yummy) 10/10 - Peach Mango slush w/ rainbow jelly (perfect for little kids! Sweet and tarty!) 10/10 - Matcha Strawberry (another fave!) 10/10 - Taro slush (This was the only drink I felt was lacking taste. Tastes a bit watery. When this boba spot first opened up, I didn't expect that I'd go through more than a few stamp cards in a year. I definitely didn't expect to eventually get the app - and use it enough to remember my login. By the time you're reading this, you've probably already tried boba. If you haven't, then just go get some right now. If you have tried boba and you're looking for a reliable place on the hill, check out Boba Time. The hibiscus berry lemonade is fantastic (with boba, of course), as is the frosty milk espresso #5 (again, with boba), though on a hot day I'd probably go with a pineapple or mango slush (if you guessed I'd recommend this with boba too, you'd be right). Even when they get busy with the high school kids coming after school, they get my order right and the quality is always consistently good. Just picked up my order from Boba time and was disappointed when my order was wrong. I understand businesses may not be used to taking orders over the phone during these times but that's why an order should be repeated to make sure it is correct. I ordered over the phone the Machata and then said matcha horchata for further clarity. Plus additional drinks. When I went to go pick up the order and checked it one of the drinks said Horchata. I told them it's supposed to be Matcha Horchata, they said sorry and they went back to fix it. I was surprised when the cashier proceeded to ring me up and charge me an additional .50 when they made a mistake. I paid it. The other staff member who was fixing the drink told me next time to order the machata and I said yes, that's what I did and on the phone I said Matcha Horchata for further clarity. Then when I got to the car I realized the drink that they fixed has less boba in, wth first there is a mistake, and I pay the extra .50 just to get shorted out of boba, wth! I've been a really devoted customer here too, so it's disappointing how it was handled because I really liked the place and was so happy when they reopened amongst the virus that I ordered multiple drinks then I normally would have.
