This is a review for a lipo and fat transfer BBL procedure I had by Dr Sej three years ago. I wanted to wait some time to see how everything settled before writing an honest review. Dr Sej is an amazing surgeon. My ass was pancake flat before and the surgery he performed was life-changing for me. Best money I ever spent and would do it again without hesitation. Yes, his bedside manner is a little rough. For the most part, he will tell it like it is and doesn't beat around the bush. I remember during my consult he definitely made sure to tell me I was fat (it was in a way that was pretty brutal but not untrue so I wasn't too bothered). But he also said "I'm going to make you look f*cking amazing" totally deadpan in a way that I was like..... okay, this is the kind of matter-of-fact confidence I want in a surgeon. I'm in. I do think, to a small degree, he enjoys winding up patients and making little digs. On my surgery day he told me that I have the saggy skin of someone who had 2 kids (I have given birth to 0 kids)- I didn't exactly appreciate this because it was when he was putting the red iodine on me minutes from getting the surgery and I was already nervous as hell. I guess part of what makes that comment so memorable is that it was SO blunt and made when I was at my most vulnerable- standing naked in front of a stranger about to cut me open. I reminded myself that, I want a surgeon observant enough to see these things so that he can try to fix them. And then I said to myself: suck it up buttercup, if you want to talk about your feelings, go see a therapist, not a plastic surgeon. The BBL was about $28k if I remember correctly. I was under for about 6 hours, so I was told, and the staff was very professional- I felt like I got Grade A, first class care. After surgery, I woke up groggy as hell, went home and spent 2 weeks on my stomach recovering and watching Game of Thrones. I took the "no sitting or lying in your ass" rule VERY seriously and did not mess up or cheat once. One thing I didn't like is that when I came back for one of my post-op's, I told him that one of the staff that had done the follow ups told me that one of my bandages would fall off on it's own (she DID say this). He told me I was lying, lol. I wasn't. I told him I wasn't lying, he doubled down and called me a liar, said didn't believe me. I shrugged and we left it at that, haha. Three years later, my results aren't what they first were straight out of surgery, but of course they won't be. My ass and my shape are still great. All in all, he is a bit scary- you will probably leave with your feeling hurt (lol). But if you can get over that you will leave with a fantastic ass. This is the best money I've ever spent and I am incredibly grateful for the amazing work performed by the truly talented Dr Sej. PHOTO ATTACHED. I've waited a few months to post this review, as I am still recovering from the verbal and emotional abuse I experienced in Dr. Patels office. Let's start at the beginning. I first saw Dr. Patel in 2016, for my first breast augmentation. I was very happy with my results. Fast forward to 4 years and a baby later, I started to see my right breast changing shape. Since I live in Palm Springs, at the time I wasn't able to travel to his office in Beverly Hills, so we did a FaceTime call, as well as sent pictures from all angles and he diagnosed me with having capsular contractor. He told me what the process was to correct it and me having full trust in him I agreed. After a year of saving money my surgery was finally set, he was to remove the capsulated implant and put an allograft around the implant to reduce the chance of another capsule. However during surgery he realized that I actually had a ruptured implant & not his original diagnosis. He said he had to scrape all the silicone out of my breast cavity & then he put a new implant in. When he came out of surgery while I was still under he told my boyfriend that he had to put a different brand implant and slightly bigger implant because he simply didn't have it. My boyfriend like a lot of dumb men, unfortunately never asked any questions as to WHY there is two different implants inside of me. After nurses woke me from surgery, at the SAME TIME as I was being dressed and put into a wheel chair, still dazed from anesthesia, in pain, Dr Patel was literally standing over me with his horrible bedside manner & loud voice updating me telling me the same exact thing he told my boyfriend. Because I was out of it and trying to focus on getting my clothes on with out feeling more pain, I had no questions. I'm sure later on, this is why Dr. Patel saw the opportunity to take advantage of the situation instead of correcting his negligent mistake of not being prepared for my surgery. A few weeks later I had my post opp check up on FaceTime. This is when the first red flag occurred to me. I remember mentioning something about one implant being bigger than the other and he played stupid and acted like he never said that. He said they are the same size and he only put in a different brand but they are very similar and not to worry once it heals they will even out and it will match my older implant in about 6 months. When I came in for my in person appointment he avoided answering my questions by speaking over me and deflecting. He told me he's the doctor & to listen to him and not my boyfriend. I really wanted to believe he wouldn't do such a negligent careless thing like this and then try to cover it up instead of just correcting the mistake. I trusted his word that in 6 months to a year I will be happy with how they look. He had me sign a bunch of paper work, which I wish I never did. Fast forward June 2023, still no symmetry in regards to breasts. I wrote an email before my next scheduled appointment expressing my concerns because I figured that would be the only way I could communicate with this individual without him trying to belittle, patronize, speak over me. When I came to the office, he & his staff were now saying a completely different story, lying that the implant was the SAME and he never had to replace the rupture with a different brand. He accused me of being on drugs which is RICH coming from him, when he's literally coked out half of the time. Let's not forget, I'm half naked while he's verbally abusing me, just a medical gown on. After I had gotten dressed and was waiting at the front desk for paperwork he very loudly insinuated that I was stupid, humiliating me some more in-front of his receptionist AND the mail man who he greeted in the middle of yelling at me, in which mail man responded laughing and shaking his head looking at me. After that he berated me some more. He was so fast to fly off the handle it's actually SCAREY that this person has people lives in his hands regularly. I wanted copies of the paperwork I signed which he REFUSED ME and told me I had to sign more paperwork to get copies of the paperwork I signed! He said if I didn't leave immediately he'd call the cops. Does that sound like someone who's not trying to hide anything? One of the papers I signed previously was for the implant that I had a WARRANTY on so that he could get compensated by Mentor since he had to use one of his OWN implants and not the one that I had the warranty for. This Dr. has absolutely no integrity & will do ANYTHING to cover up his mistakes, even if it means verbally abuse, gaslight and humiliate customers who have paid him THOUSANDS of dollars of their hard earned money. Is that really that kind of person you want operating on you or a loved one? Please consider twice before dealing with such a foul person. He is in the business for personal and financial gain. I did BBL with Dr.Sej and he left a huge DENT in my back that as years went got deeper and deeper . He lipo suctioned only my lower abdomen not above the abdomen . His reason was you are old and need tummy tuck in 6 month any way. Turned out I did not need any extra skin on the area he suctioned and I was left with a hump on above belly and lower flat ( extremely deformed). When I returned again asking to fix the botched area , he said " these are NOT fat and you are OLD and is saggy skin that is why those areas are hanging down. I have a pretty severe bbl revision surgery- I've been rejected at multiple locations due to not believing it can be fixed. I don't care if surgery is expensive, it's worth fixing. however- they wanted $500 for the consultation. Even after telling him, I don't want to come, be told no and then ... nothing. Under the circumstances you'd think he'd be willing to waive the fee. If he told me it cost 40k to fix I would pay it in a heart beat- the money isn't the issue the circumstances are. a few doctors took one look at my photos and said no, he could have literally done the same in 2 mins. He seriously took me from Sponge Bob Square Pants to a perfect hourglass. Day of surgery I was chatting with the RN who was prepping me and asked her what she thinks of Patel since she works with multiple plastic surgeons and she said "Patel is the one you want and if I had my butt done he's the one I'd go to" She said he is a perfectionist and now I know that for a fact. i have been going to Dr. Patel aka the booty dealer for about 7 years now, originally I went for consult for bbl but at the time was out of my budget at the time and he requires a deposit of 250, i had been following and loved his workso had no issue with the deposit, so after i decided not to do the bbl, the receptionist mentioned i could use towards filler, Dr. Sej said i would be a perfect candidate for under eye filler, i was super nervous because i love my face and i always see girls looking ridiculous like cat ladies so i told him that lol! Charges approximately 14,000 for fat transfer and wants CASH only !! He doesn't worry about how your recovering all he cares is for you to send him pictures ! And your butt doesn't look that big like in the pictures because he fills them with some liquid that eventually drains out !!! Please save your money !!! Ladies and gentlemen, if you are looking for a plastic surgeon for whether it be a tummy tuck, breast augmentation, or a BBL, your search will end here. I had a tummy tuck with Dr.Patel on 3/6/15. I'm now 1 month post-op. I had been thinking about doing a tummy tuck for the past 3 years. And throughout that whole 3 years I kept searching for a plastic surgeon that specializes in tummy tucks. I live in Cali but I even searched for doctors that were out of state. I didn't care how far I would have to travel, I wanted the best results I could possibly get. I would go on the websites and just check out the before and after pics. That's all I really needed to do anyways because I could tell just from looking at pics if they would be able to give me the results I desired. After searching and searching literally for 3 years (that's not an exaggeration) I had given up hope and almost decided to just forget about ever doing it. Until one day I was on Instagram and stumbled across Dr.Patels page. So I checked out his website and before and after pics and I immediately knew HE WAS THE ONE! None of his results had dog ears, the incisions were low, and his belly buttons looked completely real. All his results were perfection. He even showed pics without his patients wearing underwear which is what I really wanted to see because you get a better idea on how the results will really come out. So I called him the next day and was lucky enough to get a consultation that same day. So I go for the consult and he quoted me 10k. I was a little shocked because usually I've heard them being done for about 7500. I didn't pay my deposit or book the surgery yet though. I thought I should just think about it a little more since its a lot of money and I thought I should at least go and talk to a few other doctors. So about 2 more months went by, I met with about 3 other doctors (can't remember their names), but none of them could even come close to comparing with Dr.Patel. I was quoted 5500 from one, 7500 from another, and then I think it was about 8000 from another. All of those included lipo with the tummy tuck. Dr.Patels quote of 10k was for the tummy tuck only. Lipo would be an extra 2k. So after thinking long and hard about it, I finally booked my surgery. I didn't care how much more this doctor cost from anyone else though. I knew he was the right one. And plus his office and surgery center are in the heart of Beverly Hills so of course they can charge more. However I can tell you from experience as a nurse, the doctors in the Beverly Hills area (whether it's a plastic surgeon, ENT, or an obgyn doctor) are the ones who really know their s**t. This doctor went to Columbia University, which is an Ivy League school. That alone tells you this doctor is a genius and took his time to study. And he's board certified in not only plastic surgery but general surgery as well. So now 1 month after surgery, I can't even begin to tell anyone how happy I am I finally chose to do it. Or how lucky I am Dr.Patel was the one who did it. Dr.Patel is not only a plastic surgeon, he's an ARTISTIC GENIUS. My results came out absolutely PERFECT! My incision is low, I don't have any weird bumps or dog ears, my tummy is perfectly flat, and my belly button looks normal. He not only did a perfect tummy tuck, but he gave me curves at the same time. This has given me more confidence than I could have ever imagined. Dr.Patel is hands down the best Plastic Surgeon in the country. Get in to see this doctor and book your surgery Asap before he becomes too booked. Cause I know in a few years after his private practice gets flowing in full swing, he will become the most sought after plastic surgeon in the US and just getting a consult will probably be next to impossible. So again, if you have been searching for a plastic surgeon for any kind of procedure, this is the doctor you want. He might cost a pretty penny, but he's worth every little bit of it. Dr. Patel is amazing! Worth every penny honestly, no regrets at all. I feel lighter I feel younger and I feel so cute! My body got really messed up after my pregnancy with complications. I decided on BBL and am now almost 3 weeks out. When I look back at the before pictures, I almost can't believe that was me! I had been following Dr. Patels work for years and always knew it would be him if I ever decided to do a bbl. The staff are so nice (especially Daisy) and understanding and really good at helping with pre surgery nerves and recovery. I call anytime I have a question and they kindly help. Dr. Patel is an artist and he just gets it. He knows what looks good and he gives it to you. Okay ladies. So I'm writing an update review. I know my 1st post was only 10 days ago. I had written that review back in July. And forgot to press the post button. Anywho! I had my tummy tuck and breast augmentation in September. This Thursday I will be 7 weeks post opp and feel absolutely amazing. Dr. Patel is wonderful. So caring and sincere. He really cares about his patients. He responded to my text and even called me personally. I would not recommend any other Doctor. My body looks amazing!!! I couldn't be happier. The girls in the office and his medical team are phenomenal!!! He truly is the best at what he does. I can go on and on:) trust me you will not be disappointed.
