He is not only an outstanding plastic surgeon; he is a doctor that sincerely cares and shows a loving concern toward his patients. His gentle demeanor and patience along with his knowledge and experience gave me sound reassurance. He goes to great efforts to meet and explain every care and concern that you might have. He also surrounds himself with an outstanding staff that is also attentive and responsive to any need or concern that may arise. Last year Dr. Chiu removed my 22 year old silicone implants, a surgery from another plastic surgeon. He removed and replaced the old silicone implants. It was a long and difficult surgery because he was careful not to damage the nerves and he successfully did that and I have full sensation. I am so grateful to Dr. Chiu because you can't see the scar and my 34D breasts look so natural! I had a smooth and successful recovery without complications. I am extremely happy with my new breasts. In June of this year (2024), I had a revision of my tummy tuck incision line, a surgery performed by another plastic surgeon 22 years ago after having 4 C-Sections. Additionally, I had a tummy tuck, liposuction on my abdomen, hips, flanks, and waist, fat transfers into various places on my face, including my nasolabial folds, liposuction on my chin and jawline, and Renuvion treatment over my stomach, jawline and chin. I also had a upper lift lip, all of this was performed by Dr. Chiu in one surgery. I am so elated with the results. My face looks younger and my lips are perfect, they don't look like the dreaded "DUCK LIPS!" I can wear bikinis again and my abs look like I spent hours in the gym and you can't see my C-Section scar. I lost all the fat on my stomach, waist and hips. I've gone down two sizes! Dr. Chiu is amazing! I was referred to him through a friend, before he even had his own practice. I had an augmentation done with him about 17 year ago. To this day, I am very happy with my procedure. No one, other than a doctor - and that's cause they can see the scar - can tell that they were done. During my consultation, Dr. Chiu made me feel comfortable, took his time and answered all my questions and any concerns I had. We went over different options, and he suggested the size he felt was best for me and my body type. I was thinking a C, but he suggested a Full C, small D. I was a little skeptical because that seemed a bit big, and I was going from an A. Once I was completely healed and they had settled and dropped, I was very happy with the results. Im updating my post because everyone needs to know the TRUTH. 1- After my original post the patient coordinator immediately called, asking me to REMOVE my review. 2- I have reached out multiple times to this office and had scheduled a call back time, yet this office FAILED to call during that time slot on multiple occasions. Blocking 1 hour to receive a schedule phone appointment is more than reasonable. -In RESPONSE to Dr. Chiu's comment below: I NEVER Received a single call, message or email from your staff (I can pull up phone records to prove it)... NOT A GOOD LOOK WHEN THE DOCTOR BEGINS TO LIE .... -IF Dr. Chiu actually communicated with his staff he would have seen the emails I sent to 2 office managers and the patient coordinator in regards to the issues that needed to be resolved and the lack of communication on their end... I have attached one of the emails to the office to help possible patients see how unprofessional this office can be. 3- Record your conversation with Dr. Chiu, because he is more than willing to change facts. -(Response to Dr. Chiu from below) Per our phone conversation, Dr. Chiu admitted that his staff never gave him my messages. I don't use a doctors cell phone or home number when my question is not life threatening. Dr. Chiu performed my very first plastic surgery procedure (liposuction). I was so nervous based on the horror stories that we constantly see about other surgeons from the news. In the last few years, I had gained so much weight, and it had all gone directly to my belly. As someone who had been naturally slender my whole life, this new fat was not welcomed and it gave me very low self esteem and confidence. I first off wanted to thank Dr chiu and his beyond amazing staff. I recently just had a mommy Makeover on August 5th 2020. The first visit was amazing and the fact Dr. chiu stayed after hours after a long day of surgery to meet me, showed how much he cares. He even allowed me to FaceTime my mom in another state to see if she had any questions about the procedure. He took his time and never made me feel rushed. His bedside manner was exceptional and I felt very comfortable in his knowledge and skill as a surgeon. Pre-Op My pre-op appointment was just as comprehensive as my initial consult. I was provided with a packet of instructions for how to prepare my body a few weeks before surgery. Instructions included adding supplements and dietary changes for a few weeks prior to the big day. Before surgery, Dr. Chiu's staff and anesthesiologist followed up with me to ensure I was clear on the directions. The anesthesiologist answered all of my last-minute questions, informed me of his very impressive educational and professional background, and assuaged all of my jitters about undergoing the procedure. The Surgery The facility in which Dr. Chiu performed my surgery was clean, technologically advanced, and discreet (if that matters to you). Dr. Chiu and I had one final conversation about my exact goals. He confirmed what work would be done and allowed me to pray over all of the staff. I fell asleep comfortably and woke up what seemed like moments later in my compression garments. Ladies, it does hurt, but beauty is pain and the results are so worth it. Results I saw immediate results within a day or two of surgery, losing 3 inches from my tummy even with all of the swelling. It's now been almost 5 weeks since surgery. As my swelling continues to go down, I'm noticing I have lost more inches (plural), found abs (I didn't know I had them), and a nice line leading into my pelvis (that "V" we all dream of). My thighs look great as well. Dr. Chiu sculpted them to look more shapely and proportionate to the rest of my body. My chin is still pretty swollen, but I can already see a significant change in my facial structure. I look more almond-shaped than round, which is exactly what I wanted. Also, when I say swollen, my face is no puffier than pre-op, but I can feel the swelling in my neck and cheeks. Most people don't notice. My entire silhouette has been completely transformed and I feel like a new person. After Care I've had 3 post-op appointments. Nurse Jocelyn (who is AMAZING btw) and I are on a texting basis to discuss things like changes to my compression garments and fluid intake. He made my nostrils more open and visible, while leaving the bulk of my nose (the part I wanted changed) alone. Are there improvements? Yes. 15k worth? Absolutely not. UPDATE: The sides on my nose are starting to cave in and cause difficulty breathing. This is directly related to the poorly done rhinoplasty conducted by dr chiu.
