As a community theatre director myself I wanted to see their space and how they staged the show. I want to begin doing something similar. This organization has been around nearly a century and they have a beautifully renovated space in an old train depot. They also clearly have an army of volunteers who make these shows happen. We had front row seats, putting us face-to-face with the actors, which I loved. The performance was well staged and well acted. It was a great night of both entertainment and research.

It was especially convenient to have Catering, DJ, and media all wrapped into one venue. Nick (Bright Box event coordinator) and the rest of the Bright Box staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful during our day. Nick worked very well with our Day of Coordinator to ensure all needs provided by the Bright Box were met promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bright Box for our wedding. Having both the downstairs for our ceremony and dance floor coupled with the upstairs for cocktail hour, pictures, and a quite talking place away from the music made our day complete and provided great flexibility for our guests. We also enjoyed the outside sitting area with our guests on an amazing weather day. Thank you Nick & Bright Box for an amazing day, we're looking forward to checking out a show for our anniversary!

Parking is in front of the government center building, and then you walk around to the back of the building and down the slight hill into the lower level of the barn. The first floor is an entryway and an art gallery, while the main floor upstairs is the general event space. We were there for a concert, so we didn't really look at the arts section, but headed straight upstairs. The main event space is beautiful; they left in the original vaulted wooden ceiling and beams, and the walls looked original as well. That said, they did a fantastic job refurbishing it so it felt classic without being run down. As a music space it worked pretty well; the stage up front didn't take up too much space, and the sound was solid. This would also make an awesome place for a wedding reception, or pretty much any party too big for your own house. Overall the Barns of Rose Hill is a great place; I would happily go back for another show, and if we'd known about it before our wedding this would have been very high on our list of options!

Realizing salt exists would help with a lot of things. The best thing we had was the Haggis and if you'e had Haggis you know that's pretty bad. There was also no effort to bus the tables when everyone was done. A large number of people started doing it themselves. It is a pretty place and I don't know anything about the other elements of the business (the store, etc) but I would not consider it for an event based on this experience.

They also do themed drinks for new releases, which is such a fun touch. I love that they offer $7 Tuesdays (which do sell out fast) and regularly host events. I recently went to their Trailer Fest, and it was a great experience -- tons of previews, food samples, giveaways, and just an overall fun vibe. They also show throwback movies and have a rewards program, so there's always something going on beyond just current releases. Every time I bring someone here, they end up loving it too. It's clean, well-run, and just a really enjoyable movie experience all around.

A good experience overall…read more The placement of this theater is odd, but welcome: it's seemingly out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by residences and cornfields and mom-and-pop mechanics shops. That said, it's a good theater. I enjoyed my experience. It's not going to be the best theater you've ever seen in terms of the movie quality; I don't think, for example, they have a 3D theater. But it's really good, especially for the price. The screens are good quality; the lighting and atmosphere of the place is pretty fly; the seats are really comfortable. I sat in one of their two big theaters; it had reclines, a small table area for food, cupholders, and the sound quality was superb. The signage inside is good. One note: screens 1 and 2 are right beside the bathroom. Screens 3-8 are on the other side of the building, so if you have a show in one of those theaters, it'll be a walk if you need to use the restroom. Their popcorn was good; they have butter dispensers by the Coke fountains. The Coke fountains are fountains, so refills are free. Not sure about popcorn. They do have available booze, both beer on draft and some other options (see photos). Staff were helpful, theater was clean, experience was good. It didn't strike me as the best theater experience I've ever had, but I'd go again. Very pleasant experience, especially given the location.
