I recently purchased a vehicle from Select Auto, after researching the purchase of my selection for three months. I found the car of my choice on Carfax, which led me to Select Auto. I was impressed with the experience from the initial start of the dialog on the chat line. The chat dialog was very responsive and very friendly. Upon my arrival at the location, I was greeted by several staff members. I was introduced to Ali Nasir as my sales representative. My experience with Ali was superb from the beginning of the sales discussion, to the test drive, to the very end of the sale and beyond. There was a minor issue to be fixed before I could take possession of the car (2nd key fob not working) which they fixed at no additional cost. Also, after taking the car to my mechanic during my test drive he mentioned that I needed four new brake pads, which they replaced without charging me anything extra. My experience with sales representative Nelson Flores was excellent. I discovered the car I was looking for and this dealership through the USAA buying service. They promptly answered my inquiries and set up a convenient time to test drive the car. Nelson was very knowledgeable about the car and engaging but never pushy. I ended up purchasing the car a few days later. The purchase itself was very smooth and respectful. Nelson also went over the car again with me and even paired my iphone in the processes. Nelson, the finance person Mike and manager Robert also offered some additional help in finding the best interest rate and cost incentives for an extended warranty which I ended up not taking but again there was no pressure sales interactions at all. I had a very disturbing experience with the Select Auto Imports in Alexandria. I found a car I liked, had them appraise my car, and we had a deal in place for me to come back the next day, sign the papers, and drive away in my new car. Unfortunately, when I got home that night, my car started overheating and when I popped the hood, a mechanic's tool had been jammed into the fan attached to the radiator. The car had been running fine before then and I had not been to any autoshops or other appraisers anytime recently. Bottom line is this place tried to sabatoge my car and put me in a position where I HAD to buy from them. Deal with them at your own risk, but I'm putting this out there as a warning. Just bought a car from Select Auto from Hassan! Very expensive high end used cars in this lot. I bought the cheapest, under 13K. A used Mini Cooper. They treated me so well, even when he could have steered me to more expensive cars, I had told him what I wanted and what it would be used for, and he told me this was the right car. Returning client after ten years! My first purchase with Select Auto Imports was in November 2012, I was in the market for replacing my 2006 Audi TT convertible with another one. My trade-in was taken at a fair price for a 2011 E350 Mercedes Benz with only 5 K miles. I still own the car, with 40 K miles, no tire replacement, no breakdown. Only the battery had to be replaced.
