I had the Mango Green Tea with lychee jelly. I like Kung Fu Tea because I can control how much sugar and ice goes in the tea. I like it at 30% sugar which is perfect. They put a lot of the lychee jelly. It was about 1/3 of the cup. If it was closer, I would go more often. read more

Anyone who knows me knows how big a fan I am of the Kung Fu Tea franchise, so of course I was happy when another shop opened up in Flushing. You may think that Flushing doesn't need another KFT location especially since this new one is just a mere 2 blocks away from the flagstaff KFT, but that's where you'd be wrong. Why? Because since this new KFT is located in the Queens Crossing food court, it has seating and lots of it! Hooray!! If you're already acquainted with KFT, then all I need to say is that the milk teas, flavored teas, and wow milk at this location are just as good as the other locations. For those who think KFT's drinks are too sweet, you can always order them with half the amount of sugar. Personally I like the sweetness but lately I've taken to swapping out the tapioca in my tea for grass jelly because I like the way it balances out the sweetness of the Kung Fu milk tea. My other favorite is the grapefruit green tea, which is what I get when I'm not in the mood for milk tea. I love that real grapefruit is used in the drink. There's none of that artificial flavoring going on at my beloved KFT! In my opinion, this location one-ups the rest by giving you the option of sitting down and enjoying your drink in the store. And since this KFT is located in Queens Crossing, they also have the advantage of being right next to the municipal parking lot. So it's no surprise that they're as busy if not busier than the original location. My advice is to plan accordingly and come to this location if you're driving or planning to enjoy your tea in the store, and go to the other location if you want to get your drink to go. I ordered one (ONE!!) regular milk tea with bubbles and it took them 20 minutes to fufill my order. There were only 5 orders in front of mine (I was order #6) and some after mine but for some reason people with orders after mine got their drinks faster than me and people before me. In addition to the random order they seemed to be making the drinks, the service was terrible. A girl made a regular milk tea with bubbles and left it on the counter. She kept calling #5 but no one came to the front. After even more waiting (and having no one ask me about my order), the same girl finally asked me what my order number was. I told her it was #6. She grumbled nastily under her breath that she called my number and pushed over the drink that she left on the counter. Yeah, #6 isn't the same as #5!!! And I KNOW I didn't mishear anything because I was literally standing by the counter the entire time, waiting for my number to be called and heard her say #5 multiple times. Also to the staff, if you see a customer standing there for 20 minutes, maybe you should check in on their order. There are so many new bubble tea places opening up in Flushing these days. Omigosh. Another Kung Fu Tea. At this point, the best thing about this Kung Fu Tea is that it's the closest one to me. It's also runs a lot faster than the one in Queens Crossing. My favorite? This is a review for the highly disappointing Kung Fu matcha. First I asked if they had any sweeteners. They said they had no sweeteners. So I asked if I could add sugar, and they said "yes we have liquid sugar." So I ordered a hot matcha, with extra milk and sugar. And they put it in the shaker machine thing. Which is a nifty device. But not for matcha, which needs to be whisked and frothed into the water. This was readily apparent after the first few sips of my drink. Initially, it was smooth and pungent but on the sweet side (that's how I like my matcha). Unfortunately, it started to get bitter. When I reached the latter third of the drink, the after taste was unbearably bitter and there were clumps of matcha powder littering the bottom of the cup. At that point, it was undrinkable. Definitely not worth $4. I'm willing to give the bubble tea a chance, but I'm never having the matcha again. read more

They have a large selection of flavors, that you can take hot or cold and with our without tapioca bubbles, which I highly recommend you get because they are the ideal bubbles; not too hard, not too soft with the the subtle tapioca flavor when biting into it. Their is often a long line for this place and they don't accept credit so be sure to bring some cash with you. Also they are a little more pricey then some of the places in the area. These boba were extremely soft and chewy, and sweetened for taste. Great! However, the kicker is a portion that most shops overlook - the actual tea. I was there last night. I got two bubble tea ,one with regular sugar and one less sugar when I ordered one less sugar and one no sugar. When I found they made them wrong, I back to the store,I didn't require anything for this mistake, I just ordered another one. When I back there,It was still a few minutes away from they close, but I was told they closed already. Finally, they made one for me. When I back to my car, I found they didn't put any bubbles to it. Horrible customer service I placed an order via their app on 6/22 and only after I arrived to pick up my order the staff told me they are closing so they did not prepare my order. The staff told me to wait for the manager to proceed the return but I was in a hurry to leave. So the staff ensured that they will have the manager refund the money and I can call them back the next day to check the status. I called the next day and manager told me it's been done it just need a few days to proceed. After 2 weeks I checked my bank statement, I was charged with the order nonetheless. I called back and the staff simply told me to call the headquarter to deal with it myself (WTF) because the manager isn't working today. And refuse to assist me with the next step. Sorry to be a grumpy hater, but I don't understand the hype. I ordered a standard Kung Fu bubble milk tea with tapioca, half sweet. After a five minute wait and after a hoarde of teeneagers left, I received my tea - and it just tasted like sugar. The tea flavor was just overpowered, even though I ordered the tea half sweetened. I deduced that it was the tapioca balls that must have been soaked in syrup - they ended up outdoing the half-sweet and just stealing the flavor show. I've only been able to try the Kung Fu Bubble Milk Tea and the Black Tea (which I'm not sure if they have anymore) and they both taste pretty good. The prices are decent compared to other places ($2.75 for a medium). But don't get the Kung Fu Milk Tea if you don't like overly sweet drinks. It tasted like they poured a few extra packets of sugar into my drink. REALLLY sweet. The boba however are just the right consistency. Super chewy and soft. They know how to cook their boba! I think next time I'll try the taro flavor. But too bad this place doesn't have a thai tea flavor. read more

Came here for boba tea after eating shabu shabu. I ordered my usual iced green milk tea with less sugar. I don't like the layer of foam on top of the drink. Have been here many times, their teas are not watered down or overpowered with syrup sweeteners. They have a good range of hot and cold drinks, milk teas flavors, and jelly. This Kung Fu Tea location is part of a plaza with restaurants, provider offices, and there is even a pharmacy in this building. This tea shop is on the street level, and surrounded by the food court. There are usually 3-4 staffed agents on the weekends but it still gets pretty busy so they are usually abrupt and can come across rude. They get your order, and are pretty efficient but it doesn't hurt to be polite. Unlike the other offerings around, I come here only for the convenience and location. If I am in the building for something, and there isn't a big line, I will order something to go. There are many other tea shops around so its not a big miss. In fact, a happy lemon tea shop with much better teas also opened up recently at the back of the food court. read more

If you don't might paying more than half of what you pay at Quickly, you might like Kung Fu Tea, you may even love them despite their price. Around $3.50 is normally what you get for a small drink. My favorite is the passion fruit tea with lychee. By far, they have the best lychee and the best passion fruit tea. It's not like Quickly, where they squirt flavoring in a cup and add some random tea in it. However, I don't like the tapioca here for some reason. Okay screw it, I have stopped liking tapioca more and more over the last few years. Plenty of seats inside as its in the food court area of the developing Queens Crossing. This was the only Kung Fu Tea, closest to me, that stayed open throughout the COVID-19 closures. I appreciated their service and dedication throughout those 2-3 months of quarantine. I used the app to order ahead of time which made picking up my order faster (like it advertises). I recommend that you use the app to order! Never realized how many rewards you could get. The first time we ordered, in April, they didn't have the Orange Green Tea but they offered the Passionfruit Green Tea and gave us two! That was awesome of them because I know they didn't have to do that to keep my business. From then on, almost every other week, we'd order our Honey Green Teas and never had anything to complain about. I'll definitely miss how calm and quick the service was during COVID-19. I don't know what business is like without the pandemic but I imagine this food hall gets really busy like every other place in Flushing. read more

I tried a cup of their grapefruit green tea with bubbles. It was definitely better than their milk teas. They seem to be pretty heavy handed with the dairy component in their milk teas (the cups look like they are full of milk, instead of a mixture of tea and milk). The grapefruit tea is a mix of the Korean jarred teas (looks kinda like a marmalade that is dissolved in hot water) plus tea. It has pieces of rind (similar the marmalade), which gives the cup a nice, bright citrus zesty-ness. I do like that you can control the sweetness here. Though for milk-based teas, I might head somewhere else. read more

I originally came for the Taro Milk Tea but ended up getting the Brown Sugar Ginger as well. It's one of their few hot drinks as I was feeling an itch in my throat from the recent wintry weather. It was beyond spicy from too much ginger (flavoring?) and way too sweet. I probably ended up adding twice as much hot water to dilute its taste. The Taro drink was tasty although I barely tasted any taro flavoring. It almost makes me think they forgot the taro powder in my drink. It was very smooth and creamy, although the bubbles were much too hard from being undercooked, so essentially it was a fail of a drink as well. The service was also severely lacking, even though they weren't even busy. Next time I'm staying far away from this letdown of a place. read more

Horrible customer service! Just go to Happy Lemon a few stalls away instead. I messaged the business about the incident with no response. I was trying to save Kung Fu Tea a plastic bag (and the environment) by putting my drink in my own bag, but my own bag broke. The beverage dropped to the floor and spilled everywhere because it wasn't properly sealed. I kindly asked if I could have a replacement drink and a worker there who saw what happened checked with a chubby lady (who I assume is the manager). She shook her head and the worker curtly told me no. You're gonna steal my money, give me a defective drink, and then not correct your mistake? But keep in mind that kft drinks have strong tea taste compare to other Local Bubble tea joint. BUT, it is also depend on who makes the drink too Bc sometime it can be overly sweet, sweet, normal, or just water down.
