    After talking to the local jeep dealership and being completely frustrated with the dealer run around, I talked to Matthew at Select Jeeps. No run around, straight forward answer. No pressure and no BS. They had a jeep that met what I was looking for and we made a deal in minutes.

    Matthew at Select Jeeps helped make this one of the best and easiest vehicle purchases that I've made over the last 3 decades. There was no high-pressure sales tactics - Matthew made the experience very positive and went above and beyond by taking care of EVERY little detail we had a concern about. His willingness to take care of us helped get the Jeep in the driveway for my (bonus) daughter to wake up to on her 16th birthday. Thank you again Matthew!

    This my first online vehicle purchase. I was concerned it wouldn't work out. I ended up taking a chance and emailed them. TJ reached out to me and answered every single question I asked and also answered ones I didn't think to ask. He was VERY thorough with his description. He test drove the Jeep and took a lot of extra photos for me, including crawling underneath it to photograph the frame and components. The time came for me to make a decision and so I opted to purchase it. The process was incredibly simple and TJ kept me informed of each step. We then setup delivery. The Jeep was delivered and it looked great! I drove it around and had a blast with it. Then an issue popped up with it and I called TJ. We talked for a bit and he had Davin call me back to discus my options. He took the lead and got the Jeep all squared away. I couldn't be happier and I would refer my family and friends to them. In fact, when my son gets his license, he's considering buying a Jeep and if he does, it'll be from Select Jeeps. Buy there with confidence.

    We purchased a 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ for my 15 y/o son as a borderline project/daily driver/first vehicle. We had a few issues after having the vehicle at home so I called Matthew Gibson and asked what could be done. After a couple of trips back (tricky rear main seal) to the dealership, they called and said the vehicle was ready for pickup. Upon arrival, Select Jeeps stated the front calipers seized up on the final test drive so they were repairing that as well. This wasn't my first time to the dealership, but was our first purchase. Every.single.time. we went to Select Jeeps, the customer service has been spectacular to say the least. I got the opportunity to work with Matthew, TJ, and Gavin on our last visit, and we were taken care of like family. Thank you Select Jeeps for everything! We are so very thankful.

    I was in the market for a Jeep. I did some research and drove a couple and had an idea I knew what I was looking for. I stopped by Select Jeeps to look around. There wasn't a particular vehicle I was looking at. TJ, a salesman approached and we started a conversation. I asked where the scratch and dent selection was. He took me around back and showed me my Jeep. A 2006 6 speed with 111k miles. It's not the prettiest. Has some scratches. But the motor is strong and it hadn't been messed with too much. I asked how much and the price was reasonable. I learned a lot that day. Select Jeeps charges a bit more for their Jeeps. Reason? They stand behind them. Travis and the other mechanics have fixed 3 different issues that I know of. Thermostat, a fuel issue, and gave me a new gas cap. This is after the sale. A week after the sale. On the day I picked it up I was out in an abandoned lot playing in the mid and hit a can of paint. It went all over the underside and drivers door and rock rail. It was purple paint ona green and black jeep. Travis cleaned what he could and repainted the underside. This was not only above and beyond, they just did it. Yes I was scared off by sticker shock. But actually look at the Jeep. Hear the story and know they will take care of you.

When searching for a used vehicle that was safe, dependable, and affordable, my son chose a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon for his college vehicle when he starts Texas A&M University this fall. Normally I do not give…read morea five star ratings to business as it usually requires them to go above and beyond what One would expect. This was actually the case with Clear Lake Autoworld. It's a little things To begin the inventory that they have on the website is the actual inventory that they have on site at the location. Do you know that I did advanced research to determine the exact vehicle that I wanted by range of year's mileage price I knew exactly what I can get and what I should expect. So my review it's pretty comprehensive as it covers everything from the website being easy to navigate, responsiveness of the dealership from when initially contacted, actual information on the website as far as phone number and physical address, and the courtesy provided by the staff there at the dealership. What I found at this dealership is at what they say on the website as what they have. There were some big name brand dealerships that would put bait vehicles on the website and when I called they were so conveniently have just so that vehicle, but then the next day or two that exact vehicle will be back up on their website again You also have the issue of either private sellers or dealers not posting on the website that the title on the vehicle was either salvage or that the mileage was incorrect (off by 30k to 40k miles) of what they posted on the website. All of it just gimmicks to get someone in the door and on the ground so that they can try to sell you something that you don't want. Additionally, you have all these dealerships that do not accept cash offers. Other dealerships wanna try to scam you into the financing to where they make money off you more there than actually selling you the vehicle for cash. Not so at Clear Lake Autoworld, they do have financing available but had no problem excepting the cash offer. As far as pricing goes the price I alternately paid was a fair price. Kelley blue book provides a range of what you should expect to pay for a vehicle and though it wasn't on the lowest Clear Lake Autoworld was not on the high end either. They were right in the middle with spare pricing on the vehicle. The other issue I found very positive is the vehicles being sold at Clear Lake Autoworld are in great condition. I can't tell you how many vehicles I went to go see that had great pictures but when I got there the dealerships or the sellers had laid some cut out carpet over the actual carpet upholstery of the vehicle so that the picture was nice. But of course when you picked up that overlay carpet The vehicles actual carpet was all tore up or the interior just must not in good condition. Just like a selfie Dealers no it's all about the angle. But not so at Clear Lake Autoworld what you saw in the pictures was what you saw when you arrived. They also went above and beyond and made sure that when I was going to pick up my vehicle they did one last check mechanically of the vehicle, insured no engine lights were on I would come on, or wherever even there, plus they did a oil change and filter change and they also ensure that they were new floor mats included. This is a little above and beyond that I'm talking about. As you know when you buy a used vehicle you're expecting to buy a new floor mats anyway. But Clear Lake Autoworld did that for me as a little extra. Not saying that's what I do for everyone but that is my experience with them. As far as dealing with the staff there Shane and Linda were great. Very down to earth people, telling you what they have and doing their best for you. Appreciate their honesty, straightforwardness, and just willingness to be helpful And making the car buying experience as pleasant as possible. So I will definitely when I start looking for a new used vehicle whenever that is next Clear Lake Autoworld will definitely be the first place I stopped to see and check their inventory. Never know what kind of germs you can find there is what I'm thinking.

The single star here is based solely on our experience with this dealership. First, we've bought two vehicles here to the tune of about $70K. We liked the place. Did we get great deals? No. But they made it fairly easy, other than the finance guy, who swore that he could get us a better interest rate to no avail. He also made a hard sale on an extended warranty because "There is three miles of wiring in every car for the computer system," to which I replied "Well, I sincerely hope that Toyota used decent wiring, because if you're trying to sell me an additional warranty before we drive off the lot, that makes me nervous." But I digress. The two experiences since then prompted me to buy cars (only) online through Carvana. The first experience was the service. Plainly and simply, we brought the vehicle in for Toyota Care (oil change, etc.) and the service dude delivered hard pressure for us to buy various filters. I told him "I have cabin and air filters in my own garage that I can install myself." It's true. I'm a dork that way, and it's mainly because changing cabin and air filters isn't rocket science, and I can do it without the $50 add-on charge. The service guy claimed that I would void all factory warranties by installing these myself. After a call to Toyota, I learned that he was as full of it as a Christmas Turkey. It's a shame, because I now refuse to take our cars there for any service (I drive an Avalon' ; wife drives a Lexus; daughter drives a Rav 4). They lost a bit of money because of their pressured and desperate approach. The second and final experience involved us going to this place to buy a used car for our daughter. They had a creampie on the lot -- a grandma car that was a little old but with very few miles and in pristine condition. The sales guy told us that he turned down two previous offers for the car because it was such a great deal. (They both were willing to pay sticker, according to him.) Well, I've been in sales and advertising ... and I have friends and relatives who sell cars for a living, and they all confirmed to me that he was trying to gouge us. So, we made an offer that we hoped would get the deal moving, and he said "Let me go talk to my manager." (Yeah, right.) After about 15 minutes of sitting in a glass office, I officially became insulted. Did the guy go "talk to the manager?" No. Come to find out, he was out on the lot trying to gouge someone else. We left, and on the way out, we poked our heads in the manager's office and let him know how the cow ate the cabbage. He acted confused and worried, but he would never win an Oscar. Truth is, he didn't care. And neither did the sales guy. Lesson learned. I see Mac Haik plates on cars all the time. If you've had a good experience there, more power to you. But our experiences here have caused us to avoid car dealerships at all costs. In other words, Mac Haik Toyota has ruined (our) business with all other brick-and-mortar dealers. Yes. They are that sleazy. No only on the sales end, but also on the service end. Horrible. Caveat emptor.

I was given a written, itemized out-the-door quote tied to a specific VIN and confirmed my appointment about 1.5 hours before arriving. At no point was I told the vehicle was unavailable. When I arrived, I was informed the vehicle had already been sold before I even confirmed the appointment, yet I was still encouraged to come in as if the deal were intact. The salesperson I had been working with, Esteban, was suddenly "out picking something up" and unavailable when I arrived. Instead, I was handed off to another, much younger salesperson who spent a significant amount of time debating with me about how this was not the dealership's fault, rather than acknowledging the situation or attempting to resolve it. After going back and forth, I had to be the one to ask whether they intended to offer any solution at all. Only then was a transfer from a sister store suggested -- which initially sounded reasonable -- until I was told the price would be higher due to a "different cost basis." At that point, it was clear the original VIN-based deal was no longer being honored, and I was effectively being asked to restart negotiations on worse terms after already being brought into the dealership. This experience fits the textbook definition of a bait-and-switch: firm pricing is used to get a customer in the door, the vehicle conveniently disappears, and the deal is reset once the customer is already on site. The entire interaction showed a lack of transparency, accountability, and respect for a customer's time. I drove out fully prepared to purchase and left having wasted hours navigating excuses and shifting explanations. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend not giving this dealership your business. If you value honesty, transparency, and execution, look elsewhere.
