I purchased a 2019 Ford F-150 from Selections in 2025 and was told major repairs, including the timing chain and water pump, had been completed. I was also assured their mechanic would help if any issues arose. 11 months later, the head gasket cracked, but after multiple calls, Brandon gave me the runaround, and never returned my messages despite promising to call back. The lack of communication and customer service was disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Selections. read more

Let me preface this review by saying that Brandon never returned any of my calls as promised. I always had to call him, that should give you some idea of their service. The initial experience was fine. I had a specific car I wanted and was ready to buy. Brandon gave his whole speech about how they only buy premium vehicles and excel at customer service. The experience fell apart after that. The next morning I hop in my new car and the radar cruise control has failed, I call up Brandon, 12 hours after buying the car, and they say to bring it back in 3 days once they have a mechanic again. I do bring in the car thinking it's a quick fix. It should have been but was not. The issue was the emblem on the front had been previously cracked, they had my new car for 10 days and still ended up putting the incorrect year emblem on but I am living with that. While this was going on we were still waiting on the second car key to get "found". See the evening we were signing paperwork Brandon said there was a second key, his mechanic had just taken it home. This drug on for 3 months. Then Brandon said there never was a second key, and he was not willing to pay for what was promised. We all know new keys are not cheap, and had this been known when signing, the deal could of been altered. We were told it would have been mailed to us 3 months earlier. Lastly, the bank they use for financing is terrible. I think this banks till operates in the 80's. You have to mail a check every month with a coupon. No online banking and no direct withdrawal unless I want to drive to Lawrence during business hours. Good luck if you decide to buy from here. read more

I bought at car at the beginning of March, and after 2 weeks, it started breaking down. Since then, it has left me stranded 5 times, including leaving me in texas for 3 days. They cant seem to figure out whats wrong with the car and keep making promises to me that it will be fixed and I will be taken care of. I'm currently broke down again, and the guy who sold me the car won't respond to my many messages. They were supposed to have a mechanic on call for me, and have failed to do that as well. Quite possibly the worst dealership in the world. For starters they sold us a vehicle with a major KNOWN issue and failed to notify us. Then would not correct it without paying for it One selling point for them is they have a shop with trained mechanics so we can be take car to them for repairs. Well guess what, 1st time taking it there to correct an issue (an engine laight that appeared within 2 weeks of purchasing the car) and was told to take it to the dealer in KC. Check this out, to fix the engine light they said that had to change the oil and you guessed it yep they charged almost $100.00 for an oil change that they were not instructed to do not obtained out authorization. We even purchased an extended warranty and they refuse to put anything through the warranty company. If that's not fishy I dont know what is. I am going to file a formal complaint with the attorney general's office but nobody should consider this place as an option to shop or have repairs done. I haven't even listed all my issues with this place but I'm literally tired of typing. Responding to Brandon's post. If you would have called me back when I called you, you could have spoken to my face instead of hide behind your untruthful reply. Your company is trash and I will pursue further action. I purchased an Acura from The Selection several years ago. The gentlemen that helped us through the process at the time was very accommodating and worked with us on pricing that was agreeable to both parties (which is the reason for 2-stars). Unfortunately, the customer experience is now lost due to new ownership. I found this out recently (once last October and again this week) in speaking with Brandon Teal. The Selection is now "no haggle" pricing, however, the pricing is significantly higher than the large car appraisal sites suggest. This is the data consumers have access to. The response I received when I asked about this was, "we price our vehicles based on market conditions." In other words, we have our own pricing which isn't transparent to consumers. And, "customers have access to our certified mechanic at $65.00 per hour and cost for all parts." So let me purchase an overpriced vehicle so I can have access to a mechanic at a reduced cost. Perhaps the new management should consider the customer experience and the competition in Lawrence and surrounding area is enough not to deal with someone with this attitude. Brandon is probably a good guy but his salesmanship is to the benefit of the dealer, not the customer. Be warned that pricing is too high before moving forward with a purchase at the selection. read more

We had a few hiccups with the car after the sale and he was fabulous to work with. He made sure that we were completely satisfied and did everything in his power to make sure we were happy. My experience with Selection Premium Auto sales has been the worst experience of my life! I went in to test drive a 2006 Pontiac G6 which barely had enough gas in to drive 10 blocks. The car diffently wasn't the CLEAN car that was listed.That should have been my first clue! After returning to car lot. I mentioned that I just sold a Ford Taurus Sho. Which the Brandon said I might have a car that would fit your needs. A 2006 Infiniti M35. A clean looking car at first glance.And was close to the size of the Ford Taurus. It too only had enough gas to test drive 10 blocks. I was fooled. It couldn't test drive it long enough to hear and feel how hard the car was drove! Brandon also mentioned it had been in one small crash and it wasn't anything to be concerned about! LOL After a quick buying experience and returning home. I did a car fax only to learn the car has been in 3 accidents and had been a leased vehicle! I was aware of The Selections 24 hour return car buy back. When I called I was told that I wasn't included in that even though I have a picture of the car they sold me with that info in between the add of accidents unknown and I could go on and on. Words were said because of the rude and demeaning attitude this business takes with a costumer who paid cash for the overpriced and accident damaged vehicle. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!
