Had the pleasure of stopping by here during a snowboarding weekend at Hunter Mountain. The menu is very extensive so if you're craving anything from a typical diner, they probably have it! I ordered the Roast Beef BLT triple decker and it was pretty good and very filling. I didn't touch much of the coleslaw but I'm pretty picky with that. The pickle and the fries were good though! Now called Selena and Nick's Diner. I totally disagree with earlier negative reviews... The menu has an incredible variety of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There looked to be about 20 options for sauteed chicken dishes alone. I had chicken piccata (with mushrooms, capers and lemon-butter sauce) which was delicious, and a very generous portion. My partner had salmon over spinach and feta which I also thought was delicious, though he said it was overcooked (he likes his salmon dark pink on the inside). The prices were reasonable and the service was perfect. I think there are adequate vegetarian options but I wasn't looking for those specifically. read more

Disappointed. Place is pretty beat up. Changed booths as I felt like I was sitting in a sacked out hole, falling backwards. Menu had a wide selection which was encouraging. Until we sat in TOTAL SILENCE the entire meal. I embarrassed my family when I asked for music and the waiter chuckled at me and said, "no." Super convenient diner near the North-South campgrounds in the Tannersville area. This is a small diner with some kind of pizza business combined with it but I stopped in to scarf down some breakfast before taking on a local hike. Service was good and the ambiance was casual. Great diner with lots of food options. That being said, we are waiting for the bill at this diner. If I do not report for work tomorrow, it is because I perished awaiting for my bill. Service is kind of slow. Otherwise, everything else is good service-wise. I suspect that the operation runs with minimal staffing in both the front and back of the house. First day of a ski trip to the Eastern Vail owned resorts and I drove from Cleveland to Haines Falls, NY to ski Hunter Mountain tomorrow. For dinner I decided to go with something simple and Selena's Diner seemed like a good choice. Located on Route 23A Selena's has a classic chrome and blue exterior and red, pink and chrome interior. The menu is extensive with American classics, Italian food, Pizza and a nice selection of seafood. Service was casual and friendly, they were busy doing quite a bit of takeout orders on this early Sunday evening. I took advantage of the Senior Specials and got the Eggplant Parmigana which came with a side salad and dessert. The salad was fresh and nicely presented. The Eggplant was very good, nicely fried and then topped with a bright tomato sauce and cheese. A side of spaghetti was topped with the same tomato sauce and together with the Eggplant made a generous dinner entree. For dessert I choose the rice pudding which was mild and slightly sweet; nice but it could have been better with something to pop the flavor such as raisins or cinnamon. Overall a great value at $14 for Seniors. If you are looking for a nice meal at a good price in the Hunter Mountain area Selena's Diner is a good choice. Nice people, good service, generous portions at a reasonable price. Plus it is always cool to have dinner in an old school diner. read more

If you're in the area and are looking for food, I'd recommend getting an omelette and coffee here. They have a vast menu, but omelettes are my go to at diners. The wraps looked good too. Selena's also had hot coffee and tasty hash browns. When I'm in the area again, I'd definitely stop back again. read more

The food was decent, albeit overpriced for a diner. The ambiance is that of a dialysis clinic, bad lighting, outdated decor and rickety tables. The most shocking was that when i asked for an alternative to tobasco for my eggs i heard some grumpy noise from the kitchen only to be told that they would charge me for a small cup of franks red hot. I found this place and I am so happy I did! They have an extensive menu of breakfast meals, lunch meals and dinner! I loved the costumer service and the food came out fairly quickly. Both the chicken fettuccini Alfredo and the burger were amazing! The chicken fettuccini Alfredo came a spinach soup on the side. The spinach soup was creamy, hot and had a variety of vegetables in it. Overall, I am excited to come back and try other meals on their menu! read more

As we were seated, the waitress claimed that the diner's specialty is pizza and that the wings are also great. After some deliveration due to the sheer quantity of choices from this old school diner menu, we ordered a large stuffed pizza with ranch chicken, wings, curly fries, and vegetables. For the stuffed pizza, I was expecting a stuffed crust; it was so much better! This was two pizzas baked on top of each other, with the toppings side facing (think pizza sandwich/calzone). The filling was delicious with the pizza itself giving a nice chew. Both the wings and curly fries provided the necessary crunch to immense satisfaction. Overall we were very impressed with the food at the diner and would recommend all hikers to check it out! read more

You cannot possibly get a decent pizza in a diner on the way to Hunter Mountain in the Catskills. It's physically impossible. I think I read it in a book somewhere. It turns out either my memory has gotten bad, with that book lied to me. The pizza here is terrific. As are the garlic knots, and the garlic bread. I was surprised that they wrapped a diner around a decent pizzeria. I live down the road from this place, so I get a pizza from here pretty often. There used to be another place down the road but their pizza was not as good and it was twice the price. Do yourself a favor: call ahead. They will have it waiting for you when you get there. There's no delivery service that I know of, but at least you don't have to sit around waiting for your pizza. Seriously. It's a decent pizza. In the Catskills. Selina's was good! Local diner, right on a major road, cozy old fashioned diner vibes and great food! The volume you get for those skillets were fantastico! The price was very good, especially compared to other restaurants in the area. We got breakfast food, and it did not disappoint. Both taste and quantity were satisfactory. One hiccup they made is that they forgot to include whip cream on my belgian waffle, which I believe I paid extra for. Also, not sure how belgian that waffle was. Fun fact, Selena Gomez has been here. But I'm pretty positive this diner was not named after her. Give Selena's a try before you try other places. We were looking for a breakfast spot on our way back home from camping nearby. We stopped by Selena's and they were able to accommodate a large group of 15+. The breakfast was great and i couldn't finish my entire portion of chocolate chip waffles, eggs, and fries. I wish they had turkey bacon but they only offer regular bacon/sausage/ham. The worst customer service ever. Placed order at 6:05pm. Receive a call at 6:07 that part of my order was not available. Estimate delivery at that time was 7:01pm. Received an update on delivery, 7:51pm. Delivery service called because the restaurant didn't have the soda I selected, had to pick an alternate. Restaurant is 5 miles from lodge. Order arrived at 8:20pm. COLD. I ordered and paid for double cheese and pepperoni pizza. I received what looks like a generic frozen pizza with minimal topping. When I called the restaurant, they were not concerned at all. It is what it is. For $50 plus a medium (16") pizza should be at least warm. read more

Neftali "Nick" Lopez has been operating Selena's Diner since 10-01-2000 and is a local landmark restaurant. They pride themselves on providing good food at reasonable prices with portions that won't disappoint. My favorite is to create my own chicken and waffles. I order their delicious golden Belgium waffle and a order of their awesome wings. Plain works. Combine them and your in heaven. The other best option is their biscuits and gravy. Yummmmmm! I also heard their pies are great but I was too full to try any of them. Definitely worth the trip to or from Hunter Mountain. read more
