Affordable and beautiful lodging in the charming, hilly, intimate Cais do Sodré neighborhood. Walking out of our bedroom into the open-air, verdant Selina and onto a bustling yet cozy street felt unreal.
We stayed in a double bedroom with a private bathroom. While AC is lacking, they have fans in each room, and the water temperature is consistent. I did not experience the same noise challenges as reviewers on other sites did. Check-in was relatively timely (they were 10ish minutes behind), there were no unexpected challenges, and we appreciated the cleaning every day. The hostel bathrooms (which we didn't use but still saw) were a major improvement over other hostels we had seen, so I would have no hesitations about using a shared room here.
Their roof was nice (I got a glass of wine, it was fine) and the vegan restaurant downstairs seemed cute, though we didn't try it. With so many cute restaurants and bars nearby, going out always felt better, though if you're staying here longer, they seem worth your time. Everything about this experience was consistently nice. read more
