There's also a pecan tree-shaded park square across the street, complete with fountain and park benches, where you can sit and enjoy all the tasty sandwiches offered here. Today I tried the chicken pesto sandwich. I felt like it was the most filling of any of the sandwiches I've tried here. I didn't really need to open the chips. It will definitely satisfy your need for pizza. I usually get the chicken salad sandwich on croissant. The chicken is very minced and tastes fantastic. You can't go wrong and you may want more.

I've also put in a request to have the address updated since the new place is now on Court. I really liked Amy's and Cathy's for grabbing sandwiches and soup for lunch. The place was so small and we only actually ate onsite once. Usually did take away. Hence, the former name. The food was freshly prepared and flavorful and made for satisfying meals. The baked goods were so darn good. Happy to report the new place seems to be using some of the baked good recipes. Everything is made onsite...buns too. The salads are hands down some of the freshest you can get. Yummy soups and sandwiches. Just as good as Amy and Cathy's, if not better, dare I say? I do dare. The BLT is so good. They've got a nice brekkie menu too. Lattes, juice, coffee, brekkie sandwiches, oatmeal, etc. My boyfriend loves the pimento cheese sandwich. I love the pb&j too! Tomato basil soup is magnificent. We arrived at 4pm to meet my parents and the place was maybe a third full, happy with noise. It took a while to have anyone acknowledge our arrival and then another wait to have our drink orders taken and menus brought. Another wait for food orders and that's when three of us found out they were out of bread so the banh mi selections were not going to happen and we needed a minute to recalibrate. Ma and I noticed different things about the new menus. She felt they had a better (she even called it fancy) explanation of the dishes; I noticed the menu had been Americanized in a manner one might expect for Seguin. For instance, you won't find the words bánh mì anymore, they're just listed as sandwiches. There was only one employee on the floor tending all the tables, and she was doing her best. The food's still very tasty when it does arrive, which is why I'm still OK with it despite a couple rough spots. Mr R had his usual bun (giant bowl of rice vermicelli) which looked beautiful. Both my Midwestern parents chose chicken fried rice when their chicken sandwiches were unavailable--only ma took her leftovers home but they both said it was tasty and truth is the servings were sizeable. I went rogue and chose beef skewers off the appetizer menu, and they were delicious! The skewers came nicely presented and impressively charred. The beef was sliced thin and ribboned on skewers--since I wasn't sharing with anyone I ate them right off the stick and only made a bit of a mess on my shirt. The sauce was perfect and every bite tender excepting pleasurable little crispy edges here and there. Two guys came out front for a smoke break when a lull arrived and the remaining tables (including us) had been served. I assume it was the owner who came to check on everyone and apologize for the unusual wait as they were understaffed. I snuck Mr R a fifty which paid for most of the tab at the counter. When Mr R added the remainder and said to keep the change, he said the owner handed the entire tip straight to the waitress which was nice to hear. Seguin's not a town of adventurous eating so I hope this place keeps doing what it needs to survive and the kitchen keeps serving up the good stuff. If next time it's won back a star or two, I'll be thrilled to bits.

It was warm to start but the AC caught up in a reasonable time. Ma enjoyed the usual house salad with the rest of us and a dish of meatballs since she's given up carbs; was very satisfied with the flavor/texture. Her husband ordered his absolute usual, the fettuccine chicken alfredo. I can truthfully swear in court he HAS actually tried and enjoyed other dishes, but I think he himself has forgotten that fact. Mr R, eating vegetarian this day, had the eggplant parmigiana which still had a lovely crisp on it and enough sauce/cheese to complement without becoming overwhelming. The last 2/5 of his plate was full of spaghetti marinara and he cleared the entire thing even after a sub at Angellis for lunch. I had the chicken cacciatore for the first time in a while, and while warned it was a little spicy found it was a lovely gentle heat. The chicken cutlets do seem a little smaller since the last time but I could be wrong. The basket of rolls, in contrast, was ginormous. I don't think I recall being served that many for a party of four here, but again. Perhaps I misremember. Naim took great care of us in between the other tables and several to go orders. He always does and he loves a clean table. No one had room for dessert and we didn't win the fight for the tab so I can't tell you the actual price. Took home that mountain of fresh rolls and they fed Mr R and myself the entire next day just enjoying buttered rolls, tomato sandwiches, and using up leftovers in the fridge like brisket and the rest of my chicken cacciatore. We lingered a long time catching up and no one rushed us. Bathroom is aged but clean. In Seguin's collection of several great Texmex and bbq establishments plus franchise locations, this is one of the independent places that offers welcome variety.

The side salad was just the right size, and as usual, the meal came with their rolls, which are chewy, tasty, and filling. The service was likewise quick and friendly. My spouse ordered the malbec, but they were out, so she asked for merlot, and so the server recommended the cabernet sauvignon, but that is a minor nitpick. All told it's good, quality Italian food for Seguin, Texas.

Parking is little limited but on the side of the establishment is an auxiliary parking. As you walk inside you see the old power station. As you enter you are taking to your seat, either inside or in the patio area to see the view of the river. The personnel are very helpful and kind, they answer any questions regarding the menu. Now the food I choose the "Pecan Crusted Chicken" with a side salad and "Poblano Corn", there are many options for your sides to make it your choice. I didn't want to believe some of the reviews about this because I believe in having the experiences for myself but my fellow yelpers weren't lying.... Our service was not its best. The guy started by serving us water and literally throwing the straws at our table it was so odd and came off as disrectpful. I would say it's because he was so busy but that wasn't even the case. Granted we were a larger table but like I said we all were working well with him. I think the worst of it was instead of going around the table and handing my mom her salad he reached over my sister and spilled all the ranch all over her hair and blouse. We were all pretty shocked! Mistakes happen that's for sure but it just seemed like his rushed behavior caused the mistake. The ambiance was nice! Very chill I loved the water right outside the restaurant that was nice too. I will give credit where it's due they did comp her meal but just because my mom had to point it out not because it came out of them. It just was a very different experience.
