Fried cauliflower and crispy fish bites

Everything we had to eat was delicious! The mushroom tarts and the fried art hearts were a highlight. Kaitlin was our server and she was so great! This place has the best old fashioned ever! Nice outdoor seating in a garden like setting. Everything is fresh and grown or sourced on property or locally. Will be back!

I have now visited this place twice and everything Ive ordered has been exceptionally good. They have a large menu so I will have to visit many many more times. The drinks, appetizers, mains, and desserts are all delicious! The outdoor area is also so cute, such a fun place to get dinner + the servers are always so friendly. Love this place!!

This was one of the best meals I've had lately! Beware, the prices are pricy, but over all worth it. And it's in Carytown so you're paying, partially, for atmosphere and vibes but also for all organic food. They have so many vegan options and we got most of them. The crispy fried tofu was, predictably, my favorite, but the crispy golden rolls, potato pie, fried cauliflower, and vegan sen bún hue were all wonderful. Try the beet wine sauce! It's very different and it's delicious. Our waitress was great and warned us that the vegan soup had some realistic vegan meat in it, which was a very useful warning (could've fooled us) We loved everything except the desserts.

Went out with a group of 5 last night. Our initial plan was Pho Luca, but they had about an hour long wait. I've driven down this street hundreds (probably thousands) of times and never really paid attention to the close by Sen, but one of the girls in our group had been before and recommended we pop over to see if we could get seated here. They only had outdoor available and it was pretty cold out so we were hesitant, but they were kind enough to move around the heaters to make us more comfortable, which was super appreciated. Their menu is honestly a LOT. Lots of words, lots of sections, lot of text. I can definitely see how it could be overwhelming to someone. I tried to just focus on the pho/soups section. They also have desserts and bahn mi, and noodles, and entrees like salmon and chicken. All of us got the brisket pho. I'm. it even gonna lie - I was taken aback by the pho being $27. I've tried a lot of pho spots over the last 10-15 years and have never experienced prices this steep. I know it's because they're organic and all, but WHEW. Some of the special offerings were upwards of $50 and $85. The serving size was huge (s/o to our servers muscles!) and they certainly don't skimp out of noodles or meat. The broth was tasty and beefy, but not as rich/fatty as I'd have liked it. They give you plenty scallions and onions which I LOVE, as well as your usual sides of basil, limes, bean sprouts and jalapeños. They gave the tiniest slivers of jalapeños, but there was a delicious, spicy red sauce that I ended up using all of. Our server was Rachel. Very attentive and gave us menu recommendations and checked on us regularly. Sen has absolutely gorgeous glassware and gold cutlery. I was so pleased when it was time to pack up our leftovers and she brought out gold ladles. (The worst is trying to dump your pho into a quart container and spilling it everywhere.) Because we were a group of 5, an auto-gratuity of 20% was added to the bill. They also do not allow the check to be split more than 2 ways, so definitely keep that in mind if you go with a group. Our bill was about $250. I'd definitely back for a special occasion, but I'm a student so this definitely couldn't be the place I go every time I'm craving pho.

Great service. Great food, loved how clean everything is, you can actually taste the difference from regular pho and other dishes they have. I got their biggest bowl of pho (forgot the name) but would 100% recommend.

A few takeaways from visiting Richmond are that the city is underrated and the food is way better than I could have ever expected! Sen Organic was no exception. I really strongly suggest ordering the Potato Pie, which was crispy and flavorful. The grilled mushroom roll was also such a treat. The pho was also exceptional. I did have to take the cilantro out because I am not a fan (don't judge me it's genetics), but it was otherwise so full of flavor. They really stuff the pho full of delicious vegetables and seasoning, I was so impressed. It's also just a nice vibe and located right in the strip of fun activities. There are also great options for eaters of all ranges, from meat abstainers to meat enthusiasts. I recommend!

The interior is very aesthetic! When it is warm out, they open the windows and you can enjoy your meal alongside Carytown. I actually really like the food that I ordered (contemporary Vietnamese). The Bun Cha Gio is a refreshing bowl full of veggies, noodles and your choice of protein. Their food tastes really fresh. I also really like how there is a lot of vegan/vegetarian options. The only thing is that it is a bit overpriced, but it isn't much of a shock as it is a restaurant located in a prime area in Carytown. Service was wonderful. Also, I saw that they had egg coffee so I definitely want to try that next time as the last time I had egg coffee was when I visited Vietnam and I haven't seen it sold in any other Vietnamese restaurants in Richmond.

We, of course, checked out the menu ahead of time and were intrigued. The restaurant is a quaint little place that is reminiscent of places I've frequented overseas. The day we visited was nice enough to sit outdoors. The inside looked small, but welcoming and the outdoor space provided atmosphere while remaining connected to Cary St. The food provided a wide range of flavor. We let the restaurant's name deceive us a bit because not every dish is a small plate. We gladly took our leftovers to go and look forward to our next visit when I absolutely intend to give the Pho a try.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of being in Richmond and decided to dine a bit out of our comfort zone. In this case we visited Sen Organic for Vietnamese/French cuisine. Reading the menu was a study in food culture. It provided so much information about the infusion of French in the Vietnamese food culture. We enjoyed a variety of teas (hot and cold), some spring rolls (yum!) as well as some amazing Pho. If you are looking for a relaxing, new dining experience, try San Organic.

The prices are hard to overlook, especially when service is lacking. You're paying for gluten-free, non-GMO, organic, etc. labels and the Carytown vibe so if those aren't a priority, I highly recommend going to a traditional Vietnamese restaurant where you will pay 2-3 times less and leave satisfied. Indoor seating is very limited. We sat outside right next to the space heaters although we couldn't feel them so dress accordingly. There are 5 different menus to sort through. I got the brisket and meatball pho ($25) and 2 hard seltzers. The brisket was cooked well. I wasn't a fan of the meatballs. My friend got the chicken pho ($20) and fresh spring rolls ($9). The chicken was overcooked. The noodle portion was small in both bowls. We spent over $90 with tax and tip, which I can't justify for Vietnamese food in Richmond.

I've been walking past this restaurant for months now. My curiosity finally got the best of me and I decided to give it a try. Here's what I loved: -the decor was very charming and it felt like I was somewhere else besides Carytown. The inside seating is limited and has a few cozy little nooks. The outdoor area has tons of natural light, heating lamps and some bamboo seats -The Vietnamese coffee was delicious! -the pho broth was good Here's what I didn't care for: -This restaurant is located on Cary street so naturally finding a place to park is going to be a challenge -the tea menu is overwhelming! They have soooo many teas to choose from it's like it's own menu -there is no public restroom. Not sure if that means patrons can't use the restroom or if they just don't have one but thought I'd mention it -you can only split the bill 2 ways. So if you need to split it more then that come prepared to do a little venmoing. -the food is pretty costly compared to its competitors Overall I did enjoy my dining experience and I'm glad I got a chance to to try this place.

Friendly staff who are very accommodating especially if you need access to wifi. Fresh, flavorful and well seasoned food. Can't wait to return to try more of their offerings.

The roll was good, honestly can't remember which one this is

Disappointed after such glowing reviews. The salmon was overcooked/dry and overseasoned, the chicken curry was described as a coconut-based curry but looked like a soup and that hand-cut chicken was apparently cut with the goal of putting all of the edges in? The shrimp was just fine. The vegetable rolls were good and the Sen Fries was a surprising delight. Maybe if you know what to order you'll do better than we did? Our server couldn't answer any of our questions about the menu and ingredients and we had to prompt her to go ask anyone else so we gave up on that quickly. When I asked if I'd been given the wrong dish (my soup when I ordered curry) she shrugged and I know she won't inform future diners. The space is magnificent! But way too many misses and too few hits on the food.

It was mid day so we were seated upstairs with no wait. Staff is super responsive and friendly. Outdoor seating was great with its view of the street below. Complimentary nuts and olives were given. Sangria was my drink of choice and it was delicious. I the drink was largely fresh made with their house wine and was so easy to drink. After a couple of glasses, I wanted to try their popular meat and cheese tray. I asked about a combo of both Spanish cheeses and meats. The sausages were excellent and the soft and hard cheese just added a nice touch to the snack.

We ordered sangria and the table red wine and both were delicious. The sangria rioja is a touch on the sweeter side, which I personally don't mind, but just be aware if that is not your thing! It did taste better once it was a little bit diluted. The rice dish (arroz meloso) was one of their brunch specials and it was FANTASTIC! It has shrimp, chorizo, and chicken, and the rice was cooked and flavored to perfection. It was like a mini paella and the portion was huge. Definitely big enough to share for two people! I even told the waitress they need to add this to their menu permanently and not just as a special. We also ordered the patatas bravas (the crispy potatoes with spicy sauce), and it quite literally transported me back to my time when I lived in Spain. It came with a side of garlic aioli which was divine...creamy, garlicky (but not TOO garlicky), and seasoned well. the red sauce on the potatoes was delicious and spicy, so beware if you are not fan of spicy food. We had a little mishap with another tapa (the pan iberico, which they have listed as a flatbread) which I unfortunately did not take a picture of and did not care for at all. They gave us the vegetarian version by mistake, but our waitress was awesome and she recognized the mistake right as it came to our table. We got the right one and it wasn't bad, but definitely wouldn't order again. That would be the only thing I would avoid from the menu, as it's not traditionally Spanish. It was like a mini pizza with chorizo and had manchego melted on top. I'm sure a lot of people would like it, but it just didn't make much sense to me! Atmosphere is warm and inviting, and I can't wait to go back for a wine tasting and more tapas. Try them out :)

I tried one of the specials that I now see pictured in every restaurant review - butterflied trout. I admit it was phenomenal and I'm shocked how anyone can get a trout to take up so much space on a plate! My only regret is that I did not ask for the price before ordering. I'm glad I didn't inquire, otherwise I would not have ordered it. It was fantastic.- I think $70 for a trout entree is a reach. Even though it was a special, at that price point I think the servers should tell you the price regardless of whether you asked. I truly appreciate great food; both cooking it and it and eating it. We are fortunate to have so many great restaurants in Richmond. Adarra is not in my price range for very frequent visits in spite of them doing everything exceptionally well. I will go back, but I can't justify it being part of my regular rotation.

The green building is unmarked so it took us a second to feel confident about going inside. It's located in Oregon Hill so there is some street parking around. We live nearby so walked to it. I had the best culinary experience with my favorite people. It's a very dark and moody restaurant, great for intimate or romantic moments. They recommend you do family style. We ordered five dishes for our four person group. Someone in our party was gluten free and it was not hard to accommodate that. I believe they cook almost all the meals on a open fire. The menu changes with the seasons and I wish I took a picture to share the proper names of what we had, but here is what we tried: Cocktails: We each got one and they are very creative cocktails. I love how experimental they get with them. I tried a clarified strawberry mojito which wasn't too sweet and easy to drink. A friend of mine got a mojito old fashioned that was strong and had nice bitters. I'm blanking on my fiancé's drink, but it was my favorite for its sweetness and carbonation. My best friend got a unique martini-like drink with onion and salt she loved. Asparagus Salad: This was refreshing and perfect for the spring day we had. I loved the cream and strawberry components. Scallops: These were so tasty. I loved the bed of salt they were on, it really brought out the flavors. Octopus: This was my favorite dish of the evening. The flavors were GREAT. I started with the potatoes and spinach part and was already in love with the dish. I was so happy that they cooked the octopus to perfection. Drum: This was at the bottom of the list of what we had for me, but still really yummy. The silky fish was a bit plain without it's very tasty crunchy skin, but if you combined the two it was good. Trout: We devoured this. This was the star of the show for my fiancé. It was huge and great for four people (considering we ate a bunch of other plates before). The oil it came is was so yummy. It was a good fish y'all, good fish is good fish. Basque cheesecake with olive oil drizzle: My birthday cake choice for the evening. The olive oil was a little overpowering for me, but the cheesecake was still yummy. We loved our experience here. It seems like a lot of recent reviews have some issues with the timing, but it worked lovely for our group. We got there at 5:30pm and left around 7:30pm. We wanted a more relaxed experience and loved our conversation so it did not feel this long. But it is worth being mindful about timing. We did take a while to order drinks. Overall, it was a tasty and lovely time here. It's a pricier restaurant, but totally worth it. This has been on my want to try list for a long time and I am beyond happy I finally tried it.

I remember we enjoyed brunch, but I don't think there was anything that really blew us away. I do remember we were seated near the door and it was freezing! That unfortunately hasn't changed too much. I think it's hard to go here when the temperatures are cold. This time It was slightly better because we were seated to the right of the door if you're facing the restaurant near a window. Great view for people watching and nice little spot but the supposed heater that was next to our table didn't add too much heat. I couldn't take my coat off until we were eating our main courses but my husband seemed fine with it. The atmosphere is a modern botanical vibe and I think it plays more to its stellar drink lineup and tapas than it does a traditional three course meal. My Yelp buddy Lena was spot on about the drinks. My husband ordered a dance macabre (an Earl Grey infused scotch with pink peppercorn infused soju, Grand Marnier lavender, and orange & lemon bitters) and since I am more of a bourbon fan, I just ordered a Malbec but when I tasted my husband's DM I thought it was so good I had to order one for myself and gave my wine to someone else. I wasn't planning on having hard liquor that night, but it was so amazing. I really wanna go back another time just to have the drink. If you're not an Earl Gray fan though maybe u might want to pass, but my husband's not a tea person ordinarily and he couldn't stop raving, so it might be worth a shot The Tapas we ordered was very enjoyable: . Eggroll birria Whipped feta Fried zucchini Our mains were miss and hit. Our friends enjoyed the honey badger but my husband and I thought the solita double burger was not very good. Completely unseasoned so tasted like boring ground beef and overdone. The tomato jam and the aoli was only thing saving it and it needed way more of it. I got the grain bowl which was fine but nothing special. Would come back for drinks and tapas. The service on this night was great though. Small lag between drinks and apps but we didn't mind because we were killing time before VCU bball game. If you don't imbibe any spirits, it can be a reasonable tab as well.

Espresso Martini: Perfectly balanced and a must-try. I've been sleeping on this place for too long, but it's definitely going into the regular rotation. Don't skip this one if you're looking for great vibes near Downtown Richmond!

It's been a few years that I have been to Heritage... I've always liked it but we just never think…read moreto go for some reason. I took my daughter to go see Mamma Mia and I was able to get reservations for dinner. We got early reservations for 5:30, there were only a couple of tables with patrons but by the time we left if filled up. It's such a chic spot, I wonder why we don't come here more often. My daughter also enjoyed the ambience. We started off with Pimento Croquettes which were super light and I loved the pimento cheese spread it came with. My daughter actually ordered the creste di gallo pasta which was delicious. The waitress did warn us of the spice (my daughter doesn't love things too spicy, so they recommended the burrata with it)... it ended up being too spicy for her lol so I swapped with her. She ended up eating my Roasted Pork Loin with curried spaetzle which she loved and I did too (no worry we had leftovers of both which I will probably end up eating lol ). My only complaint was that both dishes were a bit lukewarm... I thought both were flavorful but I would've loved if they were hotter. I have a thing with piping hot food. All in all it was great and I will need to come back soon. Side note, we went to Shyndigz for dessert after, which was super close so that was nice.
