I love this grocery store. I only wish I lived closer to it. First of all, the staff is always super friendly. In an age of self checkout, they have stayed the course by having not only humans behind the register but also bagging your groceries. They offer an incredible selection of cheeses and their meat department seems to along half the back of the store. The recent remodel of this area is also coming along nicely. Prices are maybe slightly higher than at other stores but they will definitely have what you need, so that is a trade off i am comfortable with.

Sure! Packaged today 9/29/23. When was it made though? Old tasting crap.

I love getting my sourdough from here. It's like 4 bucks and so soft. The spring water here is also my favorite!

Quality meats and produce. Prices are high, but I would rather pick from Sendik's fresh food than the local Pick n Save in Sussex.

We are BBQ fans in general - I would probably choose BBQ over any other food, except sushi…read more We have been to a couple Mission BBQ's - the visit to the one on Bluemound was our first time there. Kids and hubby all ordered their faves and I tried a little of each. I love the turkey and brisket. I also enjoy the beans. Service is always pleasant. While we were eating, we were discussing taking a walk around target to work off our dinner. One of the employees heard us trying to figure out which was the closest Target and filled us in on which was not only the closest, but the nicest. Walls have lots of stuff to look at and read. My favorite sauces are KC Classic and Memphis Belle.

THEY ARE LYING ABOUT HOW THEY PREPARE THEIR FOOD…read more This place is pretending to be a barbecue restaurant. The food I received today was not cooked in a smoker. It didn't taste like it was barbecued; it had no smoke ring or bark. The restaurant doesn't even smell like there's any barbecuing happening on site. They're lying to anyone who purchases their food, thinking it is smoked. IT IS NOT SMOKED. I can't believe they're operating a restaurant like this. What makes it even worse is that they wrap themselves in the American flag and profess to have the highest regard for soldiers and first responders, but they serve food under the pretense that it's real barbecue when it's not. THEY'RE LYING ABOUT THE FOOD. MISSION IS NOT A BARBECUE RESTAURANT.

I was eager to check out the happy hour menu since it's been a while since we've had dinner here…read more Sadly, I'd have to agree with some of the other recent reviews - prices aren't worth what you get. The ambiance and service was great - Yasbel was nice and attentive. Plenty of parking at this location and easy to get to. I did see another table got the sliders and that seems like it would at least be more filling with their brioche buns. The steak bites had a good sear and flavor but the steak sauce tasted like a sweet BBQ and not in a good way - very vanilla-y. The petite salad was maybe 2 or 3 bites - very petite indeed. The shrimp cocktail was worse - the shrimp was tough and the cocktail sauce had no seasoning. It was basically just ketchup. The price for these two items and a glass of house wine came out to $40. I'm happy I tried it out but now I know I'm not interested in the happy hour going forward.

Date of visit: February 5, 2026 Team: Jeff and Nancy…read more Regularly rated one of the best restaurants in the area by various publications, I took advantage of some Bartalotta gift cards that we had received for various occasions and never got around to using to get together with some friends that we hadn't seen yet this year. Half of us arrived early and were warmly shown to our table, even letting us slide over to a table against the wall that felt a bit more comfortable for us until the rest of our party arrived. Tables are a bit close together so be careful when getting up, you're liable to bump into a fellow patron. Things started out well with Jeff and Nancy but he really did not seem to care for the lone woman in our party, dismissing her substitution request for the bacon on the twice-baked potato as she was vegetarian and then offering no other option. His future interactions with her were a bit gruff as well, which was just odd. She noticed that another patron appeared to have dropped something underneath their table and when she brought it to Jeff's attention, he just said, "Oh," and went over to that table, almost as if she had again asked for some unreasonable substitution to her meal. Outside of that, everything was pretty good, if definitely pricey. My steak sandwich was very juicy, and the shellfish soup was quite good, pairing well with the warm bread brought to the table. Don't bother trying to pull them apart, there's plenty for everyone in that basket! Our friends did not really care for their cauliflower steak, apparently a poor follow up to one they had at a restaurant in Madison the previous month, though the mushrooms were a big hit. The flourless chocolate cake was very rich and moist, and while we probably didn't need it, it was a great way to end the meal.

The steak was very tender and I tried a shrimp and it was awesome. Ann Marie was our server. She was great and is really knowledgeable about wine and helped me pick a bottle of pinot noir that i really liked. The restaurant is really setup nicely so there is plenty of room and space between parties. The steak was prepared a little under which was not a big deal to us, we sent it back for a little more cook but Josh the manager insisted on comping us a drink and dessert! It was really nice of him and not expected! All of the employees were very nice and attentive. We had a great evening and I wont wait so long for my next visit!

First time here. We came on a Sunday afternoon with a party of ten. It was a birthday celebration…read more Food: To start, we had a couple of different wines for the table: a red (which I don't recall) and a white Moscato, which I chose. We had the option of ordering off the regular menu or the smaller lunch menu, which still had plenty of excellent options. Several different appetizers were ordered, including calamari, burrata with prosciutto, and milk bread with lavender honey butter. All of them were excellent: well plated, served at the right temperatures, and in good portions. For entrées, there were lobster rolls, steakhouse filet chopped salads, and Cabernet filets. It didn't take long for all the items to be ready. They were all hot, and each steak was cooked perfectly. The medium-rares were exactly that. I had the Connecticut-style lobster roll, which had a very generous amount of warm lobster on a beautifully toasted brioche bun. The lobster was in nice-sized chunks, rich tasting, and tender. I upgraded to the truffle fries, which were plentiful and well seasoned. Best lobster roll I have had in Wisconsin. We probably would have ordered dessert, but someone had brought a birthday cake, which was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Service: Service was good, although it was more efficient than friendly. She did a great job of getting us organized and ready to order. All of the food came out as expected. With a party of ten, there were times when water needed refilling and utensils needed replacing. After dinner, we wanted a picture, and she was happy to help us with that. Atmosphere: The place is a large space, with an expansive dining room that combines booths and tables. The entire area has a modern, upscale vibe. Tables were fitted with double white tablecloths and heavy black napkins. There was sufficient lighting, so nobody needed their phone flashlights to read the menus. There weren't many people there, with the exception of another large group. They seated us in different halves of the dining room, so we felt like we had plenty of space for lively conversation. I would definitely come back for another dinner, especially for the lobster roll or one of their steak entrées.
