I had previously gone to Joey Gerard's and hated it. Food and service was horrible. This place made up for Joeys ten fold. JEFF AND ARNOLD ARE ANGELS SENT TO THIS EARTH FROM UP ABOVE. They are funny and witty and make your dinner an unforgettable experience !!!! We all started with the bisque. The second I tasted that I knew dinner was going to be good. So rich with flavor. I had the 8 oz filet which was done how I liked it. My mashed potatoes were to die for with breadcrumbs on top. My husband ordered 18 oz angus ribeye which he said was one of the best he's had. It was our anniversary and they brought out complimentary champagne and free dessert. Jeff and Arnold made our anniversary so special and we will never forget them for it.

Another fantastic dinner at Mr. B's in Brookfield. The service was excellent - Arnold & Jeff were attentive and knowledgeable. Our table was in a quiet spot, but you could still see the action in the kitchen. Everyone who stopped by our table was welcoming and kind. We love the mocktail and NA beverage options - having Athletic on tap was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the Waygu meatballs and lobster mac to start - generous portions of both, and both were so good! Our steaks and salmon were prepared perfectly. You can't go wrong with the filet, bourbon peppercorn cream sauce, and bacon roasted potatoes - the perfect combo. The flourless chocolate cake and pumpkin cheesecake were amazing - the perfect end to our meal. We love having Mr. B's nearby for celebratory dinners and date nights!

We came out for a company dinner on a busy weekend--the place was packed. Upon arrival, friendly staff offered to take out coats for the coat check process. We gave the hostess the information for the party and were quickly escorted to the back, where our company was located. When we entered the room, we saw tables filled with delicious, perfectly plated hors d'oeuvres. You've seen other photos, I'm sure--butter is cut in triangles, and garnishes are properly placed. It was quite apparent that they took the right amount of time to make things presentable and delicious. We had the Wisconsin Cheese Plate, Crab Cakes, The ambiance was quite nice, and on a busy night like this, it was loud. In the room we were in, there were plenty of things knocking around on the other side of the wall. It sounded like it was even on the roof, though I doubt it - the kitchen was right on the other side, and I'm sure they're sliding in plates and the like. Even if you're going to get a private room at Mr. B's, be prepared for the noise. Drinks were delicious: wine, Bourbon, Old Fashioneds, you name it. Everyone who came in to assist with the food, drinks, plating, etc., was professional, courteous, and surprisingly fast. I had even asked where the bathroom was, and it wasn't just an explanation-I was escorted there. The pace at which food came out was perfectly timed, which was surprising to me, considering that there were no empty tables. The staff deserves a lot of credit for the place running like a well-oiled machine. Shellfish Bisque was savory, and the fresh lobster, shrimp, and crab were a great start to the meal. The filet mignon and lobster tail were the perfect combo. Melt in your mouth for the steak, perfect seasoning combination, lobster and drawn butter were fantastic. The desserts were Apple Cobbler, Sorbet, and Cheesecake. All were excellent ways to end the night, and no one walked away hungry. I would certainly recommend Mr. B's and would be glad to go back any time. Thanks to everyone out there!

At Mr. B's you are greeted at the door. I recommend a reservation, but there is a nice bar to wait in if you don't have one. The service is always fantastic! Steaks are cooked to perfection, with terrific sides. The best part? They make brandy Alexander's the right way- with ice cream!! It is always a lovely time when dining there.

Steak cooked to perfection in a custom 1100-degree wood-burning oven. That means your mouth will thank you. Be sure to order the mushrooms and onions because that and a glass of Cab will make for the perfect pairing.

My husband and I went out for our 18th wedding anniversary for a nice dinner along with our three kids. We made the reservation a night before using the OpenTable site. Found the time slot we wanted and noted the occasion. The next day Bartollota's called to confirm. Easy and convenient process. We were greeted quickly and seated quickly. Our waiter came to greet us and served our water as well as took our drink orders. Staff was attentive and friendly. The bread came hot and fresh. I don't like bread but could have eaten the entire basket myself. Sooo good. We ordered Calamari for an appetizer which came pretty quickly. For dinner 4 out of 5 ordered steak and my one kids had Lobster mac and cheese. All the steaks medium rare as requested even the kid's small steak came medium rare. Mine...I requested rare plus. Kudos for not over cooking it. The sides seem smaller than I remember. But the roasted Brussel Sprouts and button mushrooms were still good. Bernaise sauce was lighter and not as flavorful or rich as others I have had. Ended it with a complimentary raspberry sorbet. It was refreshing end to a heavy dinner.

I was really torn on writing this review because I LOVE the Bartolotta group restaurants, but unfortunately this just did not hit the mark and realistically I wouldn't go again or recommend this location. (But the others are amazing and you definitely should try them out)! When I think of a Bartolotta Steakhouse I think upscale, high quality, and SUPERIOR service. (Aka lake park bistro - my favorite restaurant). However, even with 2 servers we did not feel this was an upscale service experience. Our servers didn't seem to like each other (just a feeling we got) and did not communicate well, we were asked the same questions by both - and offered the dessert menu twice at the end of dinner even though we had dessert FIRST. Both servers were friendly and pleasant when interacting with us however, they just didn't give off the superior service feeling and I didn't feel like they worked well as a team. The food was very flavorful and both our steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature. Also, We actually started our meal with a crème brûlée, which was absolutely perfect. The drinks, however, left some thing to be desired. we got an espresso martini and their coffee cocktail and neither screamed out to us with flavor. And then we attempted to order a bottle of wine, but unfortunately, our servers didn't know that much about the different wines and even took the menu from out my hands to read the description when I asked a question about a bottle. The bartender was very kind and came over and offered a sample of a different wine to see if I liked that without me asking which was amazing. But again at a Bartolotta restaurant I expect my server to be well-versed in their wine list if I'm paying that price point for a bottle, or at least have someone else on staff that can come and properly answer my questions. And a personal note, I hate the checkered tablecloths it does not give that clean/upscale vibe. The inside gave more suburb supper club vibes where you can enjoy with your family versus a fancy date night experience. (Which isn't a bad thing - if that's what you're looking for this is the perfect location for that.) Overall, this restaurant is very pleasant and if you have the money to enjoy it, absolutely go for it. But when my husband and I treat ourselves only once a year to a Bartolotta restaurant for our anniversary and expect an amazing meal from start to finish this just didn't hit the mark.

When you walk in you enter near their large bar and behind that is their dining room- very cozy space. Despite being busy it wasn't loud so you could easily carry on a conversation at your table which was great! We ordered the rumaki to split (super crispy and delicious!) then I ordered the filet and truffle fries (both excellent!). We had old fashioneds to drink and ordered a grasshopper for dessert (yum!) I will definitely be coming back! Excellent experience and meal!

Some lady answered and kept calling me hun saying I'll put you down hun. She said it was no problem because it was for a special occasion. Fast forward to last night me and my 7 guests show up for dinner and the general manager tells me "we don't take reservations". I told him some lady said she would take my reservation but because I didn't have a name he couldn't believe what I was saying to be true. He said I will try to get you a table in the next half hour while other guests have to wait 1-2 hours making me feel like I was inconveniencing him. An hour later we finally got seated. Mind you the whole first hour standing in a cramped- way too full bar - is not fun. So we were given 2 free apps for the "misunderstanding". Our waitress forgot my friends wine - not the biggest deal. Everyone but me ordered a prime rib and they were all mostly fat. I was willing to overlook the whole reservation thing if the food was worth the wait, but it was not. The best thing I ate was truffle fries. If you want to book a dinner for a special occasion don't waste your time here.

I searched on Yelp and came across Parkside 23. It sounded perfect. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was very crowded. I called in to the restaurant to make sure they'd have room for us, and was told that yes, they had just had a cancellation for a table for two, so come on in. We did, and we were seated almost immediately. From the minute we walked in the restaurant, everything was perfect. Hostess Heidi was lovely, our server Sara was amazing, and the food was incredible. My friend had the meatloaf, and crème brûlée for dessert. She said both were great. She's not a drinker, but did have a couple Shirley Temples, which were perfect. I have the pretzel crusted veal with spaetzel. I asked for them to hold the asparagus, which is usually cut up in the spaetzel along with mushrooms and onions, and they did it perfectly. The veal was especially amazing, and the spaetzel was very good, too. I tried the Mr Manhattan, and had another one as my dessert. I'm always delighted when my usual craft cocktail is one of their classics on the menu. It was well-made, if a bit small for the price point. We've already decided that this will be our go-to place for lunch whenever I travel up from Chicago to visit my friend. I'm also making plans to bring my husband up there sometime, because I think he will love it, too. A great find!

I've always loved the shrimp & grits, the flavor was good, but I didn't realize the grits would be a hard brick of polenta. There were exactly 5 shrimp on the plate, they were not large or jumbo, just 5 little shrimp. The flavor was good. I felt for 28.00 I could have had a few more shrimp. Honestly jumbo or colossal would have been a nicer presentation, with so few shrimp. My husband had the filet sliders, he was not pleased, our son's parkside burger was better. Our server was fantastic, polite, cordial, and attentive . The service is always good. It's close to home that's a plus, the quality of the food is not always in agreement with the price. I'll sit at the bar with a cocktail and an appetizer in the future.

The ribeye was like Wakandan Vibranium. melt in your mouth but still had that perfect texture. Service was very attentive without being disruptive to deep conversations. Servers clearly passed by with a glance to check on us - felt like having Heimdall watching over us from Asgard.. Drinks were always refilled before finishing. The best resturant in all of my visits to the area! 6 out of 5 stars. We had the option of ordering off the regular menu or the smaller lunch menu, which still had plenty of excellent options. Several different appetizers were ordered, including calamari, burrata with prosciutto, and milk bread with lavender honey butter. All of them were excellent: well plated, served at the right temperatures, and in good portions. For entrées, there were lobster rolls, steakhouse filet chopped salads, and Cabernet filets. It didn't take long for all the items to be ready. They were all hot, and each steak was cooked perfectly. The medium-rares were exactly that. I had the Connecticut-style lobster roll, which had a very generous amount of warm lobster on a beautifully toasted brioche bun. The lobster was in nice-sized chunks, rich tasting, and tender. I upgraded to the truffle fries, which were plentiful and well seasoned. Best lobster roll I have had in Wisconsin. We probably would have ordered dessert, but someone had brought a birthday cake, which was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Service: Service was good, although it was more efficient than friendly. She did a great job of getting us organized and ready to order. All of the food came out as expected. With a party of ten, there were times when water needed refilling and utensils needed replacing. After dinner, we wanted a picture, and she was happy to help us with that. Atmosphere: The place is a large space, with an expansive dining room that combines booths and tables. The entire area has a modern, upscale vibe. Tables were fitted with double white tablecloths and heavy black napkins. There was sufficient lighting, so nobody needed their phone flashlights to read the menus. There weren't many people there, with the exception of another large group. They seated us in different halves of the dining room, so we felt like we had plenty of space for lively conversation. I would definitely come back for another dinner, especially for the lobster roll or one of their steak entrées.
