I just returned this evening from driving to Fort Myers to pick up the items I won in auction…read more When I arrived at the pick up location the franchise owners were shady as all get out. They looked at me and treated me like I was some kind of thief......I won fragile valuable items (like fine china) and when I was let into the pick up location (which is in some run down ghetto side street strip shopping building) I discovered the owners had NOT packed up ANYTHING in boxes. Everything was sitting on a table and they told me to take the stuff out to the car. I asked if they had boxes at least and they said they didn't. I asked if they have old newspaper or butcher paper so I could wrap up the fine china to protect it from breaking/damage in transit in my car and they said they didn't......Then at the end of picking up all of my stuff I simply wanted to go back in the "store" to thank them. The lowlifes had literally locked the door while I still had some items on the table where they stacked all of my stuff..........The whole experience was horrible and I can only imagine how these people running the Ft. Myers franchise actually treat the familes and people that are trying to sell off their stuff.........I will never ever EVER bid on another auction that the Ft Myers franchise runs.........I don't trust them.......The whole transaction and process of picking things up made me feel like I was at some crack dealers house and that the crack dealer (auctioneer) was paranoid of everything and certainly not willing to take responsibility for being lazy and careless, let alone creepy in how they acted and how they locked the door on me...........I would give 0 stars if I could but this web page makes me choose at least 1 star......They certainly don't deserve even a 1 star rating!......****TAKE MY ADVICE, DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS W/ THE FT. MYERS FRANCHISE EITHER AS SOMEONE SELLING THINGS OR SOMEONE BUYING THINGS****.

Let me start with full disclosure. I worked for Right At Home for quite some time doing scheduling…read morefor home care cases. I am now retired. That being said, I've also worked in the senior care industry for well over 30 years and viewing things from the inside, I can tell you that these people go WAY out of their way to accommodate if they possibly can. Honestly, it was a bit frustrating for us as schedulers but now that I'm retired, I will not hesitate to call them if and when my need for home care arises! How are they different? 1. Most companies will schedule whomever without taking into account the person's needs or wants. Not so here! Quality assurance is the priority. Need someone for only four hours in the middle of the day? Call RAH! Need 24 hour staffing starting NOW? Call the office number. They don't have an answering service. You talk to a REAL member of the office staff and they will have someone on the way to you within the hour. 2. There is a huge difference between home care agencies and home care registries. Agencies actually hire and fire their workers and are supervised by case managers within the agency that will check on those employees at irregular intervals. Registries are placement services that maintain documentation provided by the worker. They are supervised by the client. BIG difference, especially if you are out of town and relying on someone to take care of mom or dad. If mom or dad has dementia, can they supervise their caregiver? How is RAH different? Case managers do drop ins. Not just during the day. Any time that is needed to ensure satisfaction and safety. If needed, Case Managers would fire staff and assume care until proper placement was provided. I worked in the office, but also in the field when needed. The local owners of this agency were careful to hire Nurse Assistants and Home Caregivers with stellar reputations and a love of the elderly. This ensures continuity of care. If there was an issue or even the hint of an issue with a Caregiver, we were required to go to the home, relieve the staff, and send them straight to the office for counseling. Sometimes at a moment's notice and with the understanding of the client or client representative. 3. Since registries don't have 'employees' and are basically placement services, they don't need worker's compensation insurance for field workers. Agencies actually hire, supervise and in some cases fire their workers. Worker's compensation insurance covers the worker while they are on the clock. How is RAH different from other agencies? There have been several instances where an employee hurt themselves (pulled back muscle lifting client, slipped on floor and fell, etc) and we were called in to staff so that the Case Manager could transport the person to the hospital for care. Sometimes with very little notice, a senior staff member including myself has staffed up to 10 or 12 hours at a time to ensure continuity of care. SO important when dealing with dementia cases! 4. Agencies do background checks and cannot start a worker until the employee is cleared. Registries require a recent background check from the person registering with them. I worked collecting documentation for a CNA program for several years and I know how easy those documents are to counterfeit. Because RAH does supervise and do background checks, the client or client representative is never put into the position of talking with a substandard employee. The scheduling staff will call the person and tell them that the client no longer needs them. They never tell the employee why especially if the client asks us not to. Background checks are just the beginning of RAH supervision. During orientation, the local owners Danielle and Peggy actually come and sit down with the newly hired workers and talk with them. Individual staff members go through their duties with them and show them how to do what needs to be done. Any questions they have are answered. 5. INTRODUCTIONS!!! Unless the client chooses otherwise, any new staff is introduced to the client and/or client representative by the Case Manager, Office Manager or even the owners of the company. The follow up of course, is the Case Manager's visit afterwards to make sure the client is happy. They are absolutely focused on client satisfaction and I am proud to say I worked for them. Their standards are high, and not everyone can meet that expectation! 6. Have a long term care policy but you aren't sure how or when to use it? There are people that work in the office that are experienced! They will sit down with you and help you figure out the best use of your benefits. As I said, I worked for these people and viewing this company from the inside, they do anything they can do to accommodate their clients. It sometimes makes it hard on the staff but we understand the end result. If I hadn't retired due to health I would still be there. Give them a try! You won't be sorry!

Then she tried to school me on the difference between a weekday and a weekend when I told her that I had sent Ms. Sellers an email on Sunday. When I finally did speak with Ms. Sellers with some questions about a letter I had received from her, she spoke very fast and with a southern accent and threw in a slew of legal terms so I had trouble following what she was saying. I had to stop her and ask her to please explain in layman's terms, as I am not a legal expert. She was more concerned with her billable hours than she was with answering my questions. Not a good experience at all. I do not recommend this law firm.
