To date, January 2023, nothing has changed except for her needing to have TWO people toilet and chair transfer and possibly have someone cut her food up. So, the need for a two person transfer Mercer Home is now up to $8,900 a MONTH. That's about 6-7 monthly home mortgages. I am having to transfer her to a newer assisted living memory facility. It is about 30 years newer, same individualized care level, however, it is $3,000 LESS per month. ​I, along with my mother, are just heartbroken that we are having to move her. These are the first friends my mother has made, residents AND staff, since my father's passing. I am sick to my stomach and my heart hurts due to the deceptive way they have raised their residence fees on my mother. This is a total and heartfelt upset for my mother as well.
