I've been hitting up this place pretty regularly since my construction gig is super close, and I'm loving it! To keep things low-carb, I usually go for the Taco Carne Asada, pura carne (just the meat). Of course with the salsa, onion, and cilantro. The ladies behind the counter are always so friendly, and they remember what I always get. The Carne Asada taco? So good! I've also tried their Fish Tacos, and wow, they're way too good to resist! Since my project is going until the end of the year, I can totally see myself swinging by here a couple of times a week. Expensive tacos. Decent flavor, could be better. I've been twice now and it was enough to figure out how to make the same tacos at home for much less money. Very basic, just corn tortilla, grilled shrimp or fish, crema with a hint of pico de gallo and cabbage. Why would I go buy these? Unless I'm lazy and even then I'll just get something cheaper. Was in Pomona starving looking for for a place to eat decided to stop here. The place was completely dead. That should've been my first hint so I walk in and I see their advertising a torta combo for about 15 bucks so I decided to go for it can't go wrong with the torta right so you would think I got the Asada came with fries and a drink. What a disappointment I don't know how you mess up with that, but the meat was fatty. It looked kind of old. They gave me a piece of lettuce on there. I've never had señor baja.. the shrimp tacos were the best I've ever had. Extra crispy and fresh. Salsa was on point with some Chile gueros (white pepper). I could've used some lime/lemon but regardless the food was bomb. I would definitely recommend this 4/5 only because it was pricey in my opinion. Combo 3 comes with two shrimp tacos side of rice and beans, including a 22oz drink. Tacos are a good size, and filling. Señor Baja is tasty enough to be popular among the locals who may not really care that the food is just OK. No doubt they have a great torta and other dishes but their main dish of fish tacos are a mountain of cabbage and sauce with a sliver of fish in a very thick blanket of bread. A fish taco -anywhere- usually comes with at least one slice of lime or lemon which in this case apparently we have to ask for. Visiting this area I was drawn to their shop which at some point is likely to have been a defunct Taco Bell style adobe. The young ladies serving the counter and a to go window are pleasant and professional. As far as recommendations; I would suggest that you could do better ordering their steak torta or other dish instead of their fish tacos. read more

We love the fish tacos here and my husband loves the shrimp cocktail from there as well. We never eat at the restaurant because we always go there when we are tired and want something good and affordable. The service has been good every time we have gone. The ambiance looks ok there I have seen people eating at the patio and inside as well. Yesterday we saw that they have a deal of 9oz shrimp cocktail and any two tacos for $15.00. I think this may be one of my favorite fish taco spots!!! It is very solid! Their tacos are not as big as Taco Nazo's but it's very flavorful and all the necessary components were there. 10/10 The drive thru speaker totally sucks lol we had to pull up to the window to order & to our surprise we didn't have to wait a long time to get our food. This has become my new favorite spot to come for lunch in between classes. I love coming here on Tuesdays and Thursdays, because that's when they offer their deals for fish and potato tacos! They are both really delicious, and very affordable. Everything is made fresh - they even batter their fish as you order it. The women that work here are phenomenal. Service is always exceptional, and so is the presentation of the food. My friends have come here for breakfast plenty of times, so that is my next thing to try here. I like it okay here. My family always orders the fish tacos ($1.99) and shrimp burrito ($7.99). Tacos are good but they get soggy super fast. The batter is good, and the fish is hearty, but with that sauce and slaw - you gotta eat it right away otherwise you'll end up with a soggy mess. Shrimp burrito is hit or miss - it has good flavor but sometimes the ingredient ratio in the burrito is a little lacking - too much of this and too little of that. Got 2 hard shell shredded beef tacos... the meat was horrid! It tasted old and was white and hard. Don't think I will get the shredded beef again. Also got 2 soft tacos de asada. Pretty good food for a good price. I've only gotten the shrimp burrito here $6.99. Apparently there's some battered fish in it too. Overall delicious, and I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food in general. That's why I only come here when other people want it even though it's super convenient next to campus. I don't love the rice in the burrito, so maybe next time I'll ask for no rice. So the sauce is amazing! I just think there's a bit too much batter on the shrimp, and it gets soggy. But I like how there's no beans in the shrimp burrito (there is in the asada burrito which I tried and didn't really like). My bf also had the torta ceviche and liked it. Very limited seating inside with 3 benches/14 stools. There's seating outside and drive-thru. Came here during lunch once and they were soo slow (I need to get back to campus & study yo!) and they even messed up my friends' orders. Love their horchata! Formerly El Taco Nazo has now morphed into Senor Baja. It looks like this place use to be a Taco Bell before it was El Taco Nazo. Their white and green sign is definitely catching to the eye which was one of the reasons it drew us in. I've tried their shrimp tacos but the fish is where the money is at. It's not specified on the menu anywhere but you can get your food grilled if you're willing to pay that extra $1.00. If you're trying to eat healthy then I suggest you get the grilled fish burrito bowl. It's all the contents contained in the burrito except the tortilla wrap. I got 3 pieces of fish fillets, rice, cabbage and salsa. I'm not sure what kind of fish they use but you betcha damn skippy they're delicious as heck. The fish fillets aren't that big so it might leave you wanting more in the end. The shrimp tacos were okay. I go them fried but you can't really taste the shrimp. Stick with the fish and you'll be good to go. They also have horchata and jamaica. I was so disappointed with their jamaica. You can tell it was made from syrup. The Bad: $1.81 per semi-small fish taco after tax. At nearly $2 a pop, I might as well hit up the McDonald's Value Menu. Other stuff is around $2-$6. The Ugly: Nothing ugly! Weak three star. Hit and miss. My third visit was a "miss". Food is 3 star. I might have been over charged one dollar. In hindsight, I should have asked for the receipt, but I was too busy to squabble over one dollar. I did the math in my head. 3+3+3 = 9 (Rounding up tacos which were 2.50 and 2.99 and 3 dollar drink.
