Last Saturday myself and three friends were in this bar. Two of us appear to have been slipped a drug in our drinks. We became incoherent, lost the ability to stand alone, and have no memory of being in the bar or making it home. Luckily our friends were not affected and helped us get back to our hotel. Came here for the weekend for a bachelorette party and it was not fun. We asked the locals where a fun bar is in town and everybody raved about it so we figured we'd check it out. As soon as you step through the door, it smelled like urine in the entire bar. The dj was there playing some music and we went up there to ask if he could play a certain song and he just looked at us with blank facial expression and ignored us. Only place open later than 10 in chelan. Stopped in on a Monday night at almost 11pm, sat at the bar top and patiently waited. Bartender blatantly ignored us after clearly seeing us sitting in front of him, he helped about five other customers who came up to ask for another drink (we were sitting next to the walk up area where you can order drinks) after almost 10 minutes we just decided to leave. The bouncer (who claimed to be the manager) refused my husbands ID because he thought it was fake (but he didn't take it because he "wasn't sure"). We were very kind and understanding so we found a cop to validate it, the bouncer still refused our service. Shouldn't a restaurant WANT to let us in? We got the proof and he was still so very rude. Seems to me if they "aren't sure" if it's a fake ID they shouldn't be a bouncer. Maybe that's why they were up for lawsuit a few years ago. Very upsetting to us and all our friends that went. My wife and I decided to stop and have a quick drink and bite to eat before seeing a movie. Service was great. Even though it was busy, the bartender was fast with our drinks and very friendly! I will say unfortunately we decided against food after seeing how the dogs that were roaming around the bar were even coming from back where the food was being prepared... we even had to step over a white lab just to get into the bar and to our table... When we asked him to delete the pictures, he refused and started making derogatory comments about us and put his hand on a friends lower back. Yikes... Maybe dive bars just aren't my thing. I guess it would have been fine if I was just coming to drink and shoot pool with friends. However, the pool part might have been hard as it seemed that it belonged to one group only. They would finish a game and then go outside and smoke for 15 minutes she come back. They would leave their food and belongings in the area and take the cues with them. We thought we would play at one point then realized that they had claimed ownership. Service wasn't very good. If you wanted anything you had to go to the bar to ask for it, and the staff members weren't too friendly. Maybe that's part of the dive bar scene? Of course food is frozen and cook upon order. So nothing special there. I guess what I can give them credit for was being the only place in a 15 mile radius open after 7pm on Christmas Eve. We were going to order meals but then due to the crankiness of the stuff and not so clean conditions we just ordered an appetizer and then went to the grocery store for more suitable food. The Dude: You're not one of those guys that are out looking for me? Me: Ummm...no. I don't know you. The Dude: You're not looking for me, because of what I did last summer? This bar looks like one of those old-folk bars you find in ghost towns. The walls are covered with wood paneling and beer advertising. There's no AC, and it's muggy in the summers. This is one of the local dives of Woodin Ave in downtown Chelan. There were quite a few people here----granted it WAS summertime, and all the tourists were pilgrimaging to Chelan. There's a long bar here in the front. This is where we hung out. I was warned to beware of the back. I was told if you wanna score some drugs you go to the back. Being more enticed to see what the hub bub was about, I walked to the back to see what was up (and to use the loo). Back here you have bass & freakin'. Well, the dancefloor was sort of bare early in the night as it was, but there were a few patrons gettin' their dance on to some hip hop/r&b. But yeah, no drug offers. Maybe they thought I was a gnarc....y'know---like a 21 Jumpstreet-esque Johnny Depp. Whatever the case. This simply looked like a bar dancefloor. Oh well. read more

It's a dive bar in Chelan. Not your typical Senor Frogs in Mexico that's for sure. Came here after a birthday dinner awhile back. The bartender was pouring heavy which was good for us. The DJ was whack! Homeboy doesn't know how to blend his music but he did play Too $hort's "Blow the Whistle" and that is why Senor Frogs got 2 stars.
