This place was amazing! Our server *I think her name was Ashlynn* was outstanding. She was so attentive, friendly, and efficient. Probably some of the best service we have had in a long time at a restaurant. I ordered a salad with apples, pecans, and blue cheese and it was delicious. I asked for grilled shrimp and it was tasty and plentiful. The dressing they use was delicious as well. I was with a group of people and everyone loved their food. I felt the prices were decent for portion size. Their menu had some really intersting choices and it was hard to decide what to order. It does get loud in the restaurant and there was a group of drunk people sitting in the middle of the bar so it was difficult at times to hold a conversation. There is not a real quiet spot in the restaurant so be prepared for that. The windows also really need to be cleaned. They have gorgeous views from the restaurant but we couldn't see out of the windows they were so dirty. read more

Horrible service. We waited almost an hour and a half to get our dinner. And we only ordered burgers and wraps, nothing complicated. Initially we were told that they couldn't take our orders yet because they just received a bunch of online orders. Had to wait 30 min just to put in the orders and then even longer to get the food. They are so short staffed, it's not good customer service. They need to manage their online orders better. read more

Ordered 1 order of chicken strips with fries (fries or onion rings were included) Food was delivered piping hot. No plates. We asked the waiter for some plates. He brought salad plates ice cold out of the freezer. Thats great for hot food. Put your hot chicken strip on an ice cold plate and instantly you have cold chicken strips. We recieved the check and it was $16 for 4 chicken strips and fries and $15 for just the onion rings. We asked the waiter if this was correct because for just $1 more we could have had 4 more chicken strips. He admitted it was correct but then said "Kind of stupid isn't it". Me and my friend's family went out to dinner here. The waiter took so long to seat us because he was talking with an old lady. It was not busy in the restaurant, but we were there for 2 hours and 30 minutes. The waiter did not take our order for 30 minutes because he said that they had too many orders, but the other waiters at other tables were taking their orders. When the waiter finally took our orders, we were starving because we had to wait so long. Around 2 hours later, we finally got our food, but it was not worth the 2 hour wait. Even the waterpark i went to today had much better food. My friend's burger was dry, and one small part of it was spicy. And she ordered a burger and fries, but added vegetables on the side. But, instead of fries, she got the vegetables. Also, the vegetables were very spicy, they had too much pepper on them. My friend's brother got served his food 5 minutes after everyone else, and the steak was dry. The fries i had were very spicy. read more

Came here on a Friday night and sat in the bar with a decent size group. The service was incredible. We didn't have to wait to order a new drink or dinner. I shared a chicken wrap with a friend and it was delicious. Good amount of food. Wine pours are a good pour for the price. Drinks were delicious. I'm super disappointed. On Oct 7, 2019 I came here to order dinner to go from the dinner menu, and the menu clearly says all dinners include choice of salad so I order a caesar salad with my pasta dinner as my salad choice. You won't believe this, but they insisted on charging me an EXTRA FOUR DOLLARS for the side salad. I noticed and asked why, because the menu is clear its included. The lady here said the menu was printed wrong and salad is only included with the steak dinners, NOT the pasta. She said the workers are all complaining about this. So I said she should have notified me of this menu issue, and I would not have ordered the salad. She said she forgot. No offer to remove the charge and take the salad back or anything. I'm stuck being a victim of their menu misrepresenting and lying to me, their (former) customer. I share these facts with you so you can consider closely if this is the type of establishment that you want to patronize. I don't appreciate this treatment, and being mislead and charged extra, so this is 1 star. Sad, but true story. read more

Went out with my family and some friends for dinner at oasis. We were hungry and it was around 6:30PM when we arrived. we waited about 30 minutes to be seated and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Yet, we understood there were many reasons for delay. Once we were seated, we decided what we wanted to order. About 15 minutes in with one other party in the restaurant, we started to get a bit confused. Our waiter told us things were backed up, which we totally understood. Another party of about ten people comes in and is seated immediately, and served after about 10 minutes of waiting! This was strange considering we had already been there for over 45 minutes without seeing our waiter! Other parties finish up and waiter comes back to take our order. We wait another 15 minutes and are served. For reference we were a party of 5. Our food shows up, and my they got someones order wrong. A chicken sandwich was ordered, and a very clearly beef burger shows up. Which would've been fine if it was at least good. didn't correct the mistake at the risk of waiting longer for more food. We ate at 7:30PM. Burgers were very dry and overdone, and vegetables were not good. We were famished, and didn't even finish all our food. After another 30 minutes of waiting in boredom, we paid and got out of there. NOT GOOD. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

We have never golfed here. But when we stay on lake entiat for our summer vacay this is always a favorite date night spot for us. Food is a great bang for the buck and has always been tasty. Our fav is when they have prime rib on the menu. And we love playing mini golf with or without kids after. The views are wonderful. read more

The accommodations were very nice, comfortable, and clean. The room stayed in was nicely updated and included a full kitchen. The private deck offered great views of the golf course. The golf course was very well maintained and the grasses trimmed meticulously; there were no weeds in sight. Some holes were confusing as they had two separate pins to play to. On the back "desert 9" the cart paths were not clearly established and at times felt like you were off-roading in a 4x4 to get to the next hole. Overall, the course was well worth the green fee. Desert Canyon has put a great deal of effort into making the course a great stay and play destination. Situated in Orondo, it's a healthy half hour drive from the town of Chelan, but this course shouldn't be overlooked! The course name couldn't be more fitting. Desert golf with individual tee boxes with up to 100 yard carries to the fairway truly makes this target golf. Located in a canyon overlooking the Columbia River, some of the views are pretty incredible. For some reason this course doesn't excite me as much as Bear Mountain Ranch does. Even though I think Desert Canyon is in better overall condition when it comes to the grounds keeping, there is just something about those picturesque views of Lake Chelan. Stay at the condos right along the par 5 3rd hole for a great weekend of stay and play with friends or family. You'll receive $10 off green fees if you stay in one of their properties. The signature par 5 15th is one of the most difficult holes in the state playing 632 yards from the white tees and 690 from the tips! Miss left and you'll roll down the canyon. Miss right and you're in the wasteland. This hole has incredible views of the Columbia River and may salvage any aggravation you may encounter from playing it poorly! read more

6 words come to mind - To hell in a hand basket. This used to be a great course, Jack Frei (RIP) designed and managed it well. The course design has held, but everything else is absolutely gone, and it's a major shame. Whoever took over the management is basically incompetent. Here's the gist of our experience: - Checking in took 15 minutes and there was only one group of people in front of us. One of the guys at the desk was just staring at something on a monitor the whole time and refused to help anyone. The other guy was nice, but took forever. - Range balls were NOT included in the green fees. Come on, really? You want how much to play here and don't include range balls? - There were no carts to put our bags on so we had to sit in the heat on a curb waiting 10 minutes for one. One poor kid was bringing them all out and couldn't keep up. Other groups were waiting for carts for over 20 minutes. No one really seemed concerned either. - The carts are gas, yeah GAS carts that look like they were purchased from a junkyard. I was surprised to find they had GPS, but it didn't work well. The little cooler could barely fit 2 small bottles of water. - I asked for a small towel so I could put it in ice and cool down with it, they had none. The cart boy, the pro shop, the kitchen, all had zero towels, not even for purchase. - It was 95* and they didn't have ANY water buckets on the course. The excuse I heard was "it doesn't taste good here" and "it's too hard to keep it cold." Are you kidding me? All this said, we also played at Bear Mountain the day before and I have to say that BM absolutely kicks Desert Canyon's rear end. They had nice carts, multiple towels on every one, large ice filled coolers, several water buckets on the course, and the course was in great shape. If you're going to Chelan, save yourself a major headache and play Bear Mountain instead. If you need a second course just go to Lake Chelan, it's more fun. read more

This course is very likeable due to the scenic vistas, variety of play, and friendly staff. Love the first hole, with the shared tee with the 10th hole. The starter said that the joint green was 10,000 sq ft! Many of the greens were big, which hurt my putting as I three putted more than usual. A couple of holes also had two greens/flags which I've never seen before. I chose the closer green as I'm a high handicapper. As the other poster said, this is out in the middle of nowhere. We're staying in Chelan and its at least 30 min away. Also, make sure you take I97 vs I97ALT or you'll find yourself on the wrong side of the columbia river . read more

Nice course and a difficult round from the back tees as I experienced, but the views of the river and valley below certainly ease the pain. Beware of playing in the summer as there is almost no shade up on the cliff and temperatures will easily reach 110 degrees or more. read more

Weather is great, golf course is in excellent shape, pro shop has the best staff and great selections, coffe shop & restaurant do a great job with service & food. What a BEAUTIFUL course. I played this a couple of weeks ago. Pro shop staff were helpful, friendly, and extremely nice. Course was in great shape and played well. I was the first or second group out, matched up with another golfer (who is a low handicapper), so we finished in about 3 hours - in other words, the pace of play was good. So a friend Keith Pendleton Jr.​ bought me a gift certificate to stay at Desert Canyon Golf Resort in Wenatchee, Wa. I call to get a reservation and Manny tell me the previous company goes out of business and they wont honor my 2 night stay. They didn't even try to make right and say pay for one night and we will comp you a night. Nothing just no your screwed. I mean I would have stayed and raved, stayed and said they made right, stayed and dropped money on the golf course, pro shop, ate and drank. I am sure they would have made a happy customer and come out at least even. So this is my first review on every review sight the internet has to offer as I am going to get my buddies money via a pound of flesh. Never stay at Desert Canyon Golf Resort. Their customer service is terrible. They have no idea how to treat people. This was my first experience with them and it will be my last. The thing is that I was planning a golf outing with some friends this spring and there is no way I will play there or stay there. We will find a place that respects their customers and knows how to find a way to make a guest happy. read more

Went there with group of 6 for dinner and could not get served. We were there 35 minutes. Head waitress told other waitress to wait on the table behind us and not us. We are local, there for a business dinner. We were clean, sober and well behaved. Had to drive to Chelan for dinner. Not a place to go due to horrible service. Just my opinion. read more

This is the best golf resort in the area - hands down. Not only do all the carts have GPS, it truly is a championship course in excellent condition. There is also an 18-hole championship putting course that we played a few times. It is great for kids and adults and only takes about 45 minutes. It is very affordable. This is definitely a peaceful paradise. I love that it is somewhat remote, but still within driving distance to more activities. You can launch a boat or jet skis at Lake Entiat (just down the hill from the golf course), and Chelan and Wenatchee are close for wine tasting and shopping. There is a great 4th of July fireworks event on Lake Chelan. Or you can just stay and play golf, check out the stars, etc. The Oasis Restaurant on site has the MOST AMAZING food. The portions are very large so you get a great value for your money. Everything tastes like it is homemade. I love the clam chowder, Caesar salad, and warm rolls with butter. They have excellent steaks, prime rib, pork loin, and halibut, as well as their famous burgers (I like the Oasis Burger and Black Jack Burger). The service is excellent too. After lunch or dinner you can walk around the golf course and check out the beautiful mountains and well kept grounds. It is very peaceful and beautiful. This place definitely deserves a 5-star rating, as it is a one-of-a-kind, first class resort. read more

We found the staff very friendly and helpful and the course well maintained. It's an interesting course to play, and there are some beautiful views at several of the holes. The course was pretty tough. My only complaint is that there are too many blind shots where you just can't quite figure out where you're supposed to be aiming, where the green is, what the distances are, etc. Some perfectly good shots brought bad results, and that didn't seem fair! read more

We stayed at the Lodge (which is the hotel) over the weekend for a nearby wedding. The rate was incredible when we booked--- for a summer weekend, we had a rate of $110. We got there, and we were absolutely blown away. It is so nice! And, right off the bat they offered us an additional discount because so many people in the party had booked there. Who does that??? So cool. We had a small one bedroom room which is more like an apartment. Literally nicer that apartments I have looked at in Seattle/Ballard to LIVE in! Granite tile counters, dishwasher, ss appliances, washer and dryer. Huge, clean bathroom with two entrances. Separate bedroom with its own TV and door outside. Cute patio a stones throw from the hot tub. And amazing views. I was such a dork walking around with my iphone to show my sister on face time what an amazing place it was. Also, my fiance and were talking about how comfortable it was-- super clean. I mean, it is a hotel, so we know that people come in and out, but it felt more like a condo. The little table was even set for dinner for 2! We are going back in 2 weeks. The restaurant across the way was good, salads, sandwhiches, drinks, burgers--- all with an amazing view. Everyone was so nice and it was an amazing weekend. I highly recommend. PS- before we went we heard that they were under new management or something like that. I didn't read any reviews but based on the older reviews here, it looks like there was definitely a management change of some sort. read more

Just spent the weekend @ DC it is one the most beautiful resorts in the North West! We got the some of the best costumer service ever. The condos are spotless with all the comforts of home, the staff took care of our every need. My family and I will be coming back to stay for many years to come! It is a fantastic golf corse!!! Condition were very nice!! Course and Greens in GREAT shape no sun burns and it is August!! Service was good and very freindly!! G.P.S. worked well and helpfull. I know that it gets hot here but a slight summer breeze and some water was povided, there is also ice for free if you ask!! A wonderful time and I will be back soon again and again!!! We stayed and played at the resort last summer. The service was fantastic (late checkout - no problem, take your time and enjoy the pool for a few more hours), the room was way beyond expectations (granite counters, full kitchen, spacious, modern - and incredibly reasonable price), and the course was great (I'm a 12 handicap, my kids are lower - we all loved the course)!! I'll be coming back as part of our summer golf trip every year! Oh, one more thing - the weather in Seattle / Vancouver was cool and raining but it was hot and sunny at the resort (it's in a desert).
