The worst customer service ever! I dont know about the other sister stores but the Bird rd store is one I would not recommend to anyone! I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half to have my tints installed well two and half hours later NOTHING his reply to my asking how much longer was " it'll be another forty five minutes" with no regard for my time!! I got to this place Monday at about 1pm. This is a busy place! I almost couldn't find a parking space but they have a few spaces around their property....so I squeezed into one. I had to check out my car radio because there has been some off and on static for the past few months. I was told the wait time would be an hour and offered to come back the next day at 8am but decided to stay. About the wait: The waiting area is a tiny room with a large television. I was sitting with another customer and we both looked at each other and agreed to lower the volume. WiFi is available but I could not maintain a connection. Three employees were walking by and I asked them about it. They told me it was real bad and I was better off just using my own data provider. After staff looked at my car they informed me I needed a new radio and he could set me up with a Pioneer for $130. Ummmmm, I don't think so, a little bit of static now and then is fine with me :) Overall: I have to say that all the employees there are very nice and friendly. Having to wait goes with the territory with a place that does repairs and installations. It was nice that they suggested I come back and were not afraid to loose me as a customer but rather wanted to ensure I knew of the wait time and offered an alternative. Would have preferred: 1. waiting room to be more pleasant (quiet) and perhaps even have coffee considering the long wait time. 2. a more specific diagnosis on my radio other than "you need a new radio". I will be going back if I need service again because I am a fan of how nice they were and large selection of accessories. read more

Be careful this people install a new equipment on my car. Before to start the job I asked for the price and they said 100$ for the equipment and 80$ for installation at the end was 214$ plus tax because they said that they used more cable than expected. What the heck? Cable wasn't included on the installation charge. Please avoid this place. Also all stuff that they sell is cheap and overprice, check the model and you will see it on Best Buy for far less. read more

After going to a dealership twice to determine what was wrong with the radio in my Hyundai Genesis, I was told the radio was broken and I'd need a new one. Estimates for a new one from the dealership and Hyundai USA ranged between $3000 and $8000. After talking to a service attendant by phone at another dealership, he referred me to Phil at Senor Stereo. When Phil's people checked for the problem, it was determined that it was the amplifier. Phil went online with me to select a (used) one that I purchased. Senor Stereo installed it, bought a new fuse and...voila, it works. HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I am a car guy, I usually buy several cars a year for business and pleasure. I took my new truck in to get an alarm installed. I expressed to the owner that time was an issue as I had meetings to get to at work. Phillip the owner expressed that in 2 1/2 hours they would get it done, there was no customers there since it was 10am and they said I was first . I said ok and sat down. 30 mins later I noticed my truck was still where I left it. I guess they realized I was thinking about leaving so they moved my truck to the rear. I walked back 30 mins later and my truck was open with no one near it. I asked and they told me another lie. They said that most of the alarm install is done on the computer with programming. I looked over their shoulder and saw them googling install instructions. One hour after that they started, 45 minutes after that they stopped for lunch and laughed when I saw them eating. I sat and waited for 8 hours yes 8! I missed all my meetings. Ok now the alarm, they hand me the keys and I ask can we test it. The proceed to test and guess what IT DOESNT WORK!!!! They ask me to take a seat and 20 minutes later I go out they say we had to connect the shock to trunk so when someone hits my truck it will say trunk open. Installer says that doesnt matter, well it matters to me I bought the LCD screen so I can see where my truck was hit. I felt horrible and wish I would have never stopped in there. Not so good experience, I mean it's a little faster than years ago but overall no great they always find a way to charge you more than the original price and if you bring a new car or a luxury car they come up wit some bull excuse to charge you more and usually there is no way out of it because they start the work before letting you know is going to cost more. Terrible service! I just went in this morning to get my tinted windows done. Guy in charge says it's $69 for the tints. Well I was charged $181.85. The 2 men that put my tints dirted my car in the inside with mud. My car had water dripping down the inside of the door,My Fabric back seat was soaked and mud on my backseat rug.not only that but the tints were installed horribly theres even edges not sticking to the windows. read more

Well, I've got to say, I went to Senor Stereo in Westchester because they are literally five blocks from my house. The first time I had a stereo and speakers installed. The salesman was pretty rough around the edges but I got a fair price. They took FOREVER on my car but I was satisfied. The bad part was I had to tell the installing tech not to smoke in my car. Then I had to tell him not to smoke in the open doorway of my car. Then I had to ask him not to smoke around my car period. I HATE smoke!! The second time I went was to have an aftermarket alarm installed. I waited two hours before they even moved the car into the bay. I reminded the tech not to smoke in or around my car, to which he complied. It took him 2.5 hours to install the alarm. When I tried the remote before leaving, it would unlock the rear hatch, rear doors and passenger front door but not the driver's door. I never had an issue with my electric locks. He said I needed a lock actuator for that door. I ordered on from eBay and went to Mitsubishi to have it installed. They said nothing was wrong with my actuator, that the alarm tech shorted out the wiring harness in that door. I was not willing to pay $375.00 for a new harness to be installed. Six weeks later, the driver's window stopped working. I cut my losses and sold the damned thing!! Now I need tints on my new car, I WILL NOT be going to Senor Ripoff!! read more

Disrespectful and unprofessional! I called for a specific amp. They had in stock and a reasonable price. Upon arrival, I noted the box was open. I asked the guy a question and he replied "I normally don't make it a habit of providing lessons". I disregarded the comment and asked another question. The guy took out the manual and asked that I read it. Another customer arrived and they started a conversation over me while ignoring my presence. Needless to say, I left the store and went down the street to JR Electronics. At JR, they treated me respectfully and even preset the amp for me. I noted the new amp at JR had a lot more wires than the open item at Senor Stereo. I do not plan to do any future business with Senor Stereo. Not the first time I've left dissatisfied. I don't think the staff cares whatsoever about customer satisfaction or service. read more

Avoid this place! They installed tints on a car I drove off the lot that day. The next morning it was full of bubbles and there were sections that had no tint at all. I took it in that morning and the owner began yelling at me, literally yelling at me, saying that it was my fault because there was dog hair in the car. There was no dog hair in the car as it was brand new off the lot. He proceeded to tell me that he doesn't cover dog hair. I reminded him that he guarantees his work with a lifetime warranty and he told me he would only replace it once more. So I paid for a lifetime warranty and a job well done for nothing. I took my car and had it completely detailed so he would have no excuse. Still bubbles after he redid it, and he still blamed it on dog hair. Save yourself the aggravation. read more

I have used Señor Stereo Window Tinting for my last 4 cars . The service was good , prices were great and I have never had an Issue with the quality of the window tinting . Not to mention it has a lifetime warranty if need be read more

Sorry I can't give them 0 star, Used this company services 2 years ago to install 2000.00 dollars in equipment on my 2014 Silverado Truck. (Clifford Alarm, Pioneer Sound System and Back up Camera ) Unfortunately I lost my receipt and I'm having trouble now with Alarm System, which is still under warranty. I just gave them a visit and they state that since I lost my receipt they can't help me, but the most unfortunate part for me is that there is no record on their system about my installation. How is that possible? I have the Alarm system brain in hand that shows the serial number, they state there is no way to know if I bought the Alarm from them. In other words they do not keep track as an authorized dealer of the merchandise they receive from Clifford, please avoid this company to do business. read more

Take your hard earned money elsewhere! I went into the shop today for a radio install. When I walked into the shop and it must have been a full 5 minutes before the person in the counter bothered to ask if I needed help; which didn't come as as surprise since he was busy on his phone. After finally getting some assistance I turned in my new stereo unit and asked to have it installed. About an hour and a half later I receive a rather hostile call from the same person, demanding to know why I didn't tell them that the radio came with a camera, and then went on to say that I was clearly attempting to scam them by withholding details from them! And keep in mind that all of these accusations were being made without even offering me an estimate on the installation of the camera (which I would have gladly payed!) I felt extremely offended and disrespected; as I could not believe the level of unprofessionalism being displayed by the staff here. When I went to pick up my vehicle I was also met by the business owner who also was extremely disrespectful and actually suggested that I go and make a yelp account and leave him a review and see how much he cares! So I decided to take a few minutes and made him this great review. Tomorrow I'll gladly take my business to another shop that is literally across the street! i have had two bad experiences with this company.. # 1 sirius radio.. continual signal problems... multiple tuner s replaced.. on the last"fix"they damaged my dash.. and the radio crapped out 90 days later.. went in to fix again,, they said I needed a whole new set up.. i was already there.. why not.. ?? Now I rememebr..!! with the brand new sirius radio install.. they blew multiple fuses.. flashers, clock, turn signals.. from day one..the satellite radio had issues.. no signal.. check tuner.. finally sirius stops working altogether.. take the car in .. after waiting almost two hours and my car not moving.. it's crystal clear they don't give a crap about fixing their shoddy work.. i'd give zero stars if i could.. read more

After spending $2,200.00 on a system (tv's, amplifier, radio, reverse camera) nothing has worked correctly! Amplifier clips and everything stops working no sound what so ever. Every time I go back and complain he tries to cheat me out of warranty! Lucky me I saved the receipt that states 3 year warranty. He changed the receipt in only giving 1 year warranty. Owner can't even stand by his own product. Place sucks, very bad serves and nothing works. By the way they also lost my keys and alarm remote. Been to the them 4 times to try and fix my problem. I came here a couple months ago in order to buy a kit for my after market radio deciding I would just do it myself, however that never happened, so I asked how much he would quote me to install it (25$) and I said it was fine. Weeks later I finally brought it in, Marvin remembered who I was and had it done in less than an hour and a half. I guess some people have had some bad experiences but mines was quite the opposite. This sucks I can't put less than a star. I called ahead of time to get a quote for a sound system in my car, the man who I spoke with said he was the owner and quoted me for kicker everything 2 12' bass and amp, $650. When I get to the store I see the guy I spoke to and he points me in the direction of one of his employees who lowers the size of the bass and offers me an amp that is worth $60 new in the box for 245, and charges me for the knob that comes with the amp he offered me, I eventually tell them that it's ok I don't know what I'm talking about and I leave them my car. They told me to return in 3 hours I returned in 4. They did NOT touch my car at all, and when I showed up they werent the least bit empathetic, and just said hey man we were busy, BUT YOU TOLD ME TO COME ON THIS DAY AND THIS TIME?! And assured me It was gonna be handled. So disappointing, these people were gonna hustle me out of like $300 and couldn't even follow through with their scheme. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE COMING HERE! If you're reading this, never go there! I own a 2010 Chevy Silverado crew cab. I took everything to install my sound system, which consisted of two amps, 2frad amp boosters, two 10 inch subs, two component Polk audio speakers for the doors, Bluetooth Land nav system with back up camera, a top of the line wiring kit, and a custom sub box. I had to make a bracket out of aluminum so they could mount my back up camera because they claimed it was impossible to install. I did not do it myself because I'm color bind and don't trust a proper connection. So after 3 days and not having my vehicle to go to work, I finally get my truck back. Everyday I find something new WRONG with the system. They cracked my dashboard in two places, and didn't tell me. They grounded the system with sheet metal screws. Also, the amps were not properly installed and prevented the rear seats from folding down. As a consequence, they are now loose and unsecured. Of course, now there is also an engine hum within the system. Obviously, its grounded with sheet metal screws and not to the frame. A ground junction box is nowhere to be found. I'm so disgusted that I won't return to have these issues taken care of. I am now in the process of making this right. This installation was $800.00 after I was quoted $625.00, never once did I get an itemized bill telling me why it was $175.00 more. The only thing that came out solid was the two front window tints. Ps just found out that they connected the amps to the fuse box and not the battery terminal. Because the battery terminal were corroded. You think they would advise me of such. After two mechanics, including one at the VW dealership, charged me to tell me they had no idea what was wrong with my stereo and that I probably needed to dish out for a brand new one, I gave it one last shot and took it to Senor Stereo. I just showed up after work and 30 minutes and 10 dollars later my stereo was good as new. Definitely a fan. read more

Avoid this place like the plague... I went three weeks ago for tints, amp, alarm. First, the tints came out like crap. If you ask them to do the sunstrip make sure its do by the computer. Even though, they have a machine that cuts the tints, they will do it by hand. There amp selection is very limited and they don't have any 4 channel amps more than 60 watts RMS. The alarm installer cut so many corners that I don't know were to begin. The alarm comes with a trunk relay, yet the guy didn't wire it. I figure that he felt he didn't need too because the key already comes with one. Plus he only wired one parking light to flash when the alarm is armed. I could of gone back to them for warranty work but IMO I rather not have their installers work on my car again. read more

This place's customer service is about as good as trash. The professionalism is extremely lacking. I had an alarm installed in my car in 2005 and it was one of my biggest regrets. The alarm stop working about a year after. I never pursued replacing the alarm remote. Eventually 6 years later I needed new tints which i also got from them. Why did I do that? So my tints that i got from senor stereo in 2011 were of low quality and there were holes and they weren't cheap either. Then in term i ordered a new clifford remote for my alarm since i was looking to update my car. Once i ordered the remote they advised me it would be available the next day. So i returned the next day to them letting me know that they needed to order it. At this point i was already dissatisfied so i wait 4 more days and then i was livid cos their lack response is what threw me through the rough so i had to cancel the order because i was not satisfied with the service. So in 2012 i encounter a problem that my car battery dies and it was replaced at home to avoid high cost for service. So then upon my battery being replaced the Clifford alarm that i no longer had need for continuously kept going off and not allowing me to start my engine. I then called senor stereo and explained my story to receive no definite response and was placed on hold for 10 minutes, i then called again and gave the man the benefit of the doubt and i explained my story again cos he seem to have a brief case of amnesia and he then said hold and hung up. I am dont recommend this place to anyone that wants a good experience. read more

This place is horrible!! I took my car to have the windows tinted, thinking this place would do the best job and it would be long lastly, boy was I wrong. about a year after my tints were done my whole back window started to wrinkle and the drivers window was bubbling and peeling off. It looked horrible so i took it in to get them redone since i had warranty. it wasn't until the 3rd call and the second show up that i was told warranty's are only done during the week. i accommodated my schedule to get it done and they still didn't want to do the back window. I also had them install some HIDs i had purchased. accidentally purchasing the wrong ones, they install them with no question but told me after the installation that they were the wrong ones and wanted to charge me $80 to remove them. I got HIDs through them and guess what, a year later they broke. this place is a complete rip off, the people are rude and getting anything done will just become a headache. read more

horrible!!!!!!! their hours say they open saturdays at 8:30am i show up at around 8:15 to try and get the work done quickly, well comes 8:30 and the store still hadn't opened, 8:45, nothing yet, 8:50 still no employee... 8:55 someone i believe to be the owner shows up in his land rover no apology to arriving lathe and having about 4 customers waiting outside. then no employees to start working on the cars, they all walked in around 9:00-9:20am almost a freaking hour later, but then they say that they are behind. maybe if the owner and employees respected your customers and had any sense of time, you wouldn't be behind. it is now 2:00pm and still waiting for them to call back to see if they are able to repair the aftermarket system, even after being told we only had 2 cars ahead of ours. do not come here!! all the reviews are true! read more
