I'm from NJ so I'm not used to good Mexican food, but this place rivaled anything I had in Southern California or South Texas. It wasn't busy when we ate here, so we got served quickly and could sit wherever we wanted. There were tables, high tops, and booths. Food was satisfying. I had the shrimp protein bowl minus the rice, with extra lettuce. It was nice sized, with big scoops of guacamole and sour cream. My husband had a regular protein bowl with chicken and he said it was also flavorful. Lots of choices in the salsa bar. Most sounded too hot for my liking, but I did enjoy the green sauce. My moms favorite place to eat and we love it too. The crispy beef tacos and beef rolled tacos (taquitos) are really good. Breakfast burritos are good too. Their salsa bar is fantastic, great choices along with pickled carrots and jalapeños. Service is quick and friendly. Love this place. read more

Traveling out of town and seen this spot down the street from my friends house. Came in for taco Tuesday. Got the 2 taco special with some chips and salsa. Was very tasty with a few different salsas from hot to mild. The staff was very friendly and the location was very clean. Will for sure stop by again when in town. read more

We stopped in for a late lunch (2 pm)and there was only one other person dining, but shortly after we ordered several other people came in too. Our food arrived quickly and the salsa bar was fully stocked. My beef taco was great and I was glad that it was a crunchy shell, I mean sometimes you just want that satisfying crunch! I also enjoyed the cheese enchilada and the refried beans. The rice was meh. My husband enjoyed his carne asada soft tacos, but I saw him eyeing my crunchy one too! We tried this location since we were very hungry and it was nearby. It is located in a strip mall area adjacent to the Circle K. Parking is limited due to the gas station. When you walk in, you must walk to the back to order at the counter and pay. They will bring the food out to you when it's ready. As far as value, the prices seemed a bit high for what I'm used to. They have beer on ice at the counter and a variety of food choices on their menu. I ordered the shrimp enchilada. They were different than I was expecting and consisted of cheese enchilada with grilled shrimp and salsa on top. There was a side of ranch-style sour cream as well. They have a salsa bar if you want to add a bit more flavor. I'm a bit of a wimp regarding spicy stuff, so I enjoyed the tomatillo green salsa best and of course added the fresh limes as well. You cannot go wrong with Señor Taco. Everything is good here. Rolled tacos, quesadilla, enchiladas and carne asada fries are family favs. The ingredients are fresh, the sauces are made in house and the portions are extremely generous. The red sauce in particular is so good, I use it on everything. Honestly, the owner is an awesome guy who is always heavily involved in the community. I've been living in Fountain Hills for a year the first month I was out here I visited Señor taco. I was told great things about it from the locals and I can say the food was "OK" a year later going to both of the locations here and Fountain Hills I can say that it definitely does not live up to the hype. The food is very subpar, bland, quick, and not worth the price. I've had better food off off Uber Eats 10 miles away that was located in Mesa Fuego Mexican Food (Eh Guey Birria Y Tacos) both of these Mexican food places sell the same thing however definitely different prices and different quality and food and this is coming from somewhere 10 miles away, However in Fountain Hills Filiberto's ranks higher than the Senior taco. Maybe in the past when they were first open the quality of food was really great but now I can't see that being a possibility. I ordered one of the chicken chipotle burritos it's extremely oily and has a whole bunch of pre-cut chicken in there and the taste was worth the price. I don't think that their prices match the quality of food that they serve if you truly want great Mexican food. I don't recommend Señor Taco they base their quality of food on location and accessibility. No hate on the employees they are very nice and dealing with the cards they are handed. Well, this will probably be a mandatory stop every time we head to the Payson area or visit Fountain Hills. This is like a fast food Mexican place, with very affordable prices, decent portions and delicious food. This time we tried the #10 Chipotle Fish taco special (2 tacos and a drink), the plate that includes 2 quesadillas and 3 rolled tacos (we call them 'flautas'), and I had to try the menudo as well. Yes, I know. I had food for like 2 days. I was super impressed with the tacos, for only $5 I got 2 massive tacos with double corn tortilla (badly needed because I could not fit all that into one tortilla). They were super tasty with plenty of chipotle dressing. At first I was not impressed with the menudo bowl, which looked kind of empty, but upon tasting it, it was very good and had a great ratio of meat and hominy (lots of meat and minimum hominy). Although it probably would not have been very filling on its own, I would have needed 2 bowls which would have been kind of steep at $7 each. Overall very good food and friendly service. Was definitely surprised by Señor taco and how much I enjoyed the food here. We stopped in late as there weren't many options open around, and ordered a few items which were all delicious. Burritos with carnitas and steak were delicious, the quesadillas were perfectly cheesy and hit the spot, and tacos were also good. Fast food Mexican without fast food taste. Oh wait, it's not fast food, they serve beer, so is this casual Mexcican restaurant with convenient drive through? Whatever I had from here, I am pleased with the food I ordered. I am not a Mexican food expert but I eat here or another one near the Safeway in Fountain Hills just about once a month. I think they also have senior discount (a person behind me was told about it but not sure the % discount). A few times a year, they support a local school by offering a senor taco day where 10% of sales goes to a local school. From carne asada fries to shrimp tacos, I have eaten here dozens of times and have never had anything but great food. There are various happy hour specials and deals to make your meal even more affordable. There is literally nothing on the menu over $10, and most is between $5-7. My personal recommendations are limited to breakfast burritos since their classic menu is pretty damn good, but try either the Hash Brown burrito or the Chorizo and Egg. Heck, get the double wrapped Grande if you want to kill your stomach. The California Surfing burrito is also killer, shrimp and carne asada. Stopped here on the way home from ATV Riding in the desert at the recommendation of Colton our guide from Stellar ATV. So it does not look like much from the outside, and is about the same on the inside, BUT the food is really good and good size portions and have Happy hour on beer and margaritas! I asked which Carnitas burrito was the spicy one, and IT WAS!!!!! I like hot spicy food and it did not disappoint. AND it was not over the top, so not JUST hot!!!! Update: The menudo soup is a 4 or 5 stars depending on the day. The carne asada tortas hardly had any meat in it compared to other places which give you plentiful portions. So this was a let down.
