Service went down hill. The bar has been expanded where the money is made. There is a wait to get a menu when it is not busy. We stayed yesterday to eat and three items were wrong. Despite all of that we went back today with a different party for take out. Due to a very strict medical diet I am very limited on what I can eat. When my wife got home there was missing items. When we called we got an attitude and they said you were not charged anyway. We live 10 minutes away. You think someone would offer to make things right. So this is a local place we love so don't tell anyone. Love the pulled pork street version. Gauc is fresh and yummy. Always fresh home made prepared food at a reasonable price. Such terrible service I received today. I called for pickup order and no one gave me any information on how to pay or where to go to pick up the order. As I standing by the door waiting for someone. I see two woman in the kitchen but no one comes and ask me if I need anything they just look at me and proceeded to continue talking. As I go closer inside, a gentleman comes in through the side door and tells me in a nasty voice you aren't supposed to be in here. I tell him I was standing outside the door waiting but no one told me how I was to pay for this meal. He said I told you on the phone curbside only. And I said so where was I suppose to go if you don't have any signs or you did not specify exactly where to go. If you would have taken the time out to specify where exactly to go instead of rushing me off the phone. I have don't ever write a bad review but it's been multiple times where my husband & I have received such bad service here. If I could give one star I would. The managers a piece of shit and super rude. My family comes in all the time and spends 80$+ a month on their food and it's always super delicious and the service is always really good. The last two times have been less then acceptable. I found a ZIPTIE in my quesadilla. When brought back the manager was not apologetic and said "it probably slipped in" "not our fault". Disgusting. Then today was the final straw. Ordered my lunch at 11:30 come in at 12:00 to get my food and it's very busy, I go to pick up my order which also took me 15 mins to do although my food was already finished. And when I get home my quesadilla is missing chicken and the plantains, guac, sour cream. everything I'm missing from my order. I'm so angry because now I'm late for work so I go in and ask for a refund and the manger tells me to come back later. I ordered a burrito bowl from here last week. While eating it I discovered a piece of plastic from a to go lid mixed in my food which cut my mouth. I called the restaurant and spoke to Sebastian... he apologized and said he wanted to make it right and give me another burrito bowl at no charge... I asked for a refund and he refused so I accepted his offer of a new bowl. I went there today to get a new burrito bowl and it wasn't made correctly. I called and spoke to Sebastian again and he apologized but also said he wouldn't make me another one to correct the problem. How anyone does business like this is preposterous and appalling. To make something incorrectly and basically force it on the customer is in no way the honorable or proper way to run a business. I just had the absolute worst experience at this establishment. The place was absolutely empty, and the waitress was not very attentive at all. Our water glasses were empty, and we had finished our chips, and we had to call her over to refill both while we waited for our meals. When our food was finally ready, the waitress dropped my burrito on the floor on her way to the table. I understand people make mistakes, but like I said previously, the place was empty. Instead of carrying all the food for my friends and I in one trip, she could have easily made two trips or had the bartender help her. It's not like she was busy with other guests. Then when they finally came out with a new burrito, it was not correct and was not what I ordered. Naturally I was very upset and just canceled the order all together, didn't tip and left. First time eating at Señor Taco. Service was excellent, waitress came right over and several times during the meal. Food was fresh and good. We had the taco's, chicken fajitas and chimichangas. Portions were more than enough and we left feeling full. Decor was simple and place is small so there are not many tables. Will definitely be returning to try additional choices. read more

if I weren't as aggravated as I have ever been in my life I would laugh and I am sure I will tomorrow. Walked in here with 5 of us and were literally the only people in here. I have been here a few times so I know the place, solid food, a surprisingly good margarita but very low end service...all for which I am game..... Place order, sit down, have a cocktail, 50 mins later- yes five zero minutes - (again the sole patrons in the place) I go up to check on our food. I receive a perplexed look from the young girl behind the counter followed by a "you didn't get your food???" Ok I'm done complaining about first world problems but really if you want to have even a mildly successful business in a small "word of mouth town" you need to have capable oversight of the place, on premises....i'm off to get a pizza, have a great night. read more

If I can give this place no stars I would! Senor Taco is terrible. Nasty staff, cheap owner and most of all a not so nice of a person. I occasionally show up to this joint but when I do I 9/10 times walk out. I'm not the type of person to leave bad or good reviews but how I left tonight got me going bananas. I called and placed a order after waiting ten minutes on phone they finally picked up! Then when I was placing a order they said I couldn't have more then one side of salsa. (Because the owner is VERY cheap). Also, every time you order something you expect a bag of chips (at least for a burrito). In the mist of that I got home there was barely any rice or steak in the burrito. Me trying to figure out which burrito is mine is a headache because they label everything with the shittiest hand writing that you can't even read. My family and I ended up NOT getting one side of salsa or NOT one bag of chips and it was a $70 order. I am very disappointed in the "cheap" sleazy owner and the filthy nasty staff. If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. My sister and I wanted to grab a quick bite and drink right around the corner from us so we decided to go to Señor Taco. Well this was the worst decision we could have made. It was a Tuesday afternoon, as we walked into the place, we did not even get greeted by the four people who were working there. We stood at the door for about 5 minutes, waiting for someone to direct us in the right direction. This is when what seemed to be the manager, he finally looked up from cleaning the bar and told us that we could sit where ever we wanted. We wanted to sit at a high top table however it was too small to get back to, since there were a couple of girls sitting at another high top. We proceeded to a low table, sat ourselves down and waited for another 5-10 minutes. There was no menu on our table and no one came up to us asking if we even needed anything. So we got up and found ourselves two menus. The manager from the bar finally came over and asked us what we wanted to drink, I ordered a water and my sister ordered sangria. Another 15 minutes, the drinks never came and not one worker was seen in sight. The other girls at the hightop got up so we decided to move to a high top table by the window, thinking it wouldn't have been a big deal since the manager told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. He finally brought over the sangria after 30 minutes of ordering it. Although, still no water. A girl server finally came over and took our order, we order guacamole with chips, a chicken wrap and a taco salad. After waiting another 30 minutes for even our chips and guac to come out, she finally brought over our waters. So, 1 hr later, the manger came over with two cheese quesadillas and placed them in front of us. Mind you there were 2 tables in the entire place, so I am confused as to why the service was so horrible. We told the manager that we did not order quesadillas and reminded him of what we order. He stormed away and mumbled under his breath that is was all screwed up since we moved tables. However, there is no way that it was our fault because we ordered our food from the new table we were sitting at. Also, we didn't even receive our drinks at the first table, we received them at the high top. After the manager stormed away, we were still waiting on our chips and guac, when we notice that two older women received chips and guac, however didn't seem like they ordered it being that they had just sat down 10 minutes before receiving it. We watched the older women eat the chips and guac. Then 5 minutes into the older women eating chips and guac, the manager went up to the older women and said sorry they were here first and took the guac and chips off their table and placed it on our table. Mind you it was half eaten guac, eaten by someone else!! We looked at the chips and guac and asked if we could have a new one since we just watched two older women eating it for 5 minutes. He seemed confused as to why we asked for a new one and once again stormed away. He threw the guac across the bar and came back with a new one and threw it down on our table and once again explained to us that it was our fault since we moved tables. This is when we explained to him that it wasn't our fault since we ordered all of the food from this table and there was only one other table in the entire place. Although he brought us over a new guac he never gave us a new bowl of chips, which is absolutely absurd! He expected us to eat the chips and guac that two complete strangers were just eating out of. Finally an hr and a half later, we received our correct food. The food was great! However service was disgusting. After finishing our food, we were the only table left in the place and we wanted to pay the bill and get boxes to take our left over food home in. I was waving down the four people who were in the place but somehow no one saw me. Mind you we were waiting another 30 minutes. So this is when I finally walked up and asked to pay the bill and get boxes for our food. As I was paying, both the manager and one of the girl servers was staring over the counter to see what tip I would leave. I left 15% tip even though they deserved absolutely nothing, however they were watching me and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I then boxed up my food and walked out extremely frustrated. This service was the absolute worst I have ever seen, no one had even a slight bit of consideration for us. I advise anyone and everyone not to go here if you don't want to be waiting 3 hrs for a quick bite and drink. This service was disgusting. read more

Tried the place twice. One order for takeout for 3 crispy tacos and 3 soft tacos. We were shorted 1 soft taco and the crispy tacos were soft and falling apart. Second try went for a chicken burrito. Again the wrap was falling apart and could barely hold it. 1 tiny piece of chicken in the burrito. Asked for it spicy and there was barely a hint of spice. Way toooooo much rice. 95% rice. We tried Avo when it was at this location and we were not impressed. So when we saw it was now Señor Taco we decided to give it another shot. The workers were very friendly and the ambiance was nice, but the food- not so much. We got the beef nachos and the grilled chicken burrito bowl. There was no seasoning on the beef or chicken which made both dishes very bland. There was no spice to either dish either. I don't need a ton of spice but at a Mexican place you usually expect a little kick. End result: we've definitely had much better. read more

I went with my family apple picking and came across this restaurant. I could say that I really really enjoyed their chicken tacos with the special sauce. I also enjoyed the steak tacos but the chicken ones were my favorite. My husband enjoyed the Margaritas. We would definitely come back to this restaurant when we are around the neighborhood. read more

Food was great. Salsa was good. Tacos, flautas, fajitas, empenadas and quesadillas were all very tasty. They are understaffed and it took about 30 min just to get a drink and water. The poor girl behind the counter took our order then started to make our drinks but soon had phone orders then more walk in for take out and no one to help her. Finally got a break and was able to finish making our drinks and get us some water. If they don't increase their staffing this place will go under which is a shame because it's very tasty Mexican food. BTW don't order Tres Generations Tequila in your Rita or it will be a $26 drink! We went back a second time and had the same issue with understaffing. Sad to think they are trying to save money by having less employees, but even if the food is great terrible service will put you out of business. read more

Came upon this great place after Apple picking then returned again after Pumpkin picking. Food was great!!!! They have plastic silverware was not a big deal but caught me off guard. Reading all the wonderful reviews i figured lets give it a try... perhaps the stars and moon just didnt align today because this sucked. The server greeted us, was quick with a menu and some tortilla chips and it went to hell from there. The chips were stale, we ordered empanadas for an app, 25 min later i had to ask for them, they were barely warm because they had been forgotten. My "deep fried" chimichangas were black on the edges ( most likely from being reheated on a flat top) my wifes senor wrap was still frozen... hmmmm. We asked for a sour cream and it never came. No refills on water our waiters explanation was when we came in he was the only one on the floor. Good thing there were only 3 tables when we came in. When we left it was very busy. I have been giving Senor Taco in Wading River my business since they opened. Food isn't that good, but it's close to home. They have messed up on my orders a few times and every time I bring food back to get my order correct, they are rude and hesitant to fix it. On my most recent visit, they said the food was going to take 30 minutes for pick up. When I waited 30 minutes, then went to pick up my food, it still wasn't ready. They said another 15-20 minutes, after it had already been 40 minutes, so I said I want to cancel my order because I have somewhere to be. They were rude and said I should of canceled earlier, which didn't make sense. They finally let me cancel and were completely rude. This was happening to a couple of people before me and they were very nasty. If the restaurant messes up, they should be polite and fix the problem, not act like the customer is causing the inconvenience. I will never give them my business again. I will be going down the road and giving my business to Mesquite. read more
