I'm sad to leave this review. For someone that use to get monthly medi and pedi in NYC from the same place for 3 years...I was hoping to find a place I could go routinely. Cons: -When I got home, my middle finger and pinky were bleeding because they cut my cuticles too deep. I made an appt for a Saturday afternoon and sat in the chair for 20 mins before someone would come. The manager did generously apologize and I did appreciate it very much! I felt that the pedicure was pretty bare minimum if you didn't upgrade for additional expenses. For all the places I have been to they usually include the heel softener but this place didn't for the regular pedicure. It was only included if you upgraded to $70-85 pedicure. Pros: the owner was really nice and overall the medi and pedi was very nice. Just didn't like how my nails were bleeding when I got home. read more

Went in to get my nails removed. The lady cut way too short on my nail and cut into my skin. The pain was unbearable. They charged me $35 for a torture session. I am 6 months pregnant, I dont need to be dealing with my nail hurting all night. I am extremely upset with the service I got here. I left with a bloody nail and a lot of pain. Unacceptable. Terrible experience! my teenage daughter came in today for the first time to get a full set , she had a picture and told her nail technician exactly what she wanted. the lady made her nails all crooked , could not give her the design she asked for after saying she could & was very aggressive while doing her nails verbally as well as pulling her hand/grabbing it in a very rude way. she knew my daughter was unhappy with how the nails came out and tried to charge her $85 for a full set that did absolutely NOT look worth $85. my daughter got very upset and they told her she could just pay $60 , so she did and left. My daughter came home hysterically crying because she was so unhappy and paid out of her own pocket from the money she has earned doing chores. its a shame you could take advantage of a young girl. This is absolutely the best salon in the area. They always do a consistent job and remember every customers name. My favorite thing is the incredible massage they offer with every service. The massages are not just rubbing but incredibly therapeutic and you can tell that everyone there is trained in therapeutic massage. I've never had or heard of a dry manicure before, started at the pedicure station (this was unpleasant with the manicurist standing next to me) I didn't know what was happening. she finished at the manicure station never dialing or cleaning my hands or fingers with polish applied on top of dirt. my hands felt awful and I removed the polish as soon as I got home. worst experience ever read more

Never have I ever been to a salon that has been so awful. Not only was the service rude and slow, they overcharged for everything possible. The price list did not align with what they were charging. I won't be coming back. I wanted tips with a"coffin" shape and "sue" said "no", I asked for color and she said no, I asked for matte and got told no again... I finally asked for pink and white with lots of white and finally the lady did that for me..... she was rude to me and I felt very disappointed and also disrespected as she could spoke mandarin and barely spoke to me... she kept making eyes and faces at the woman at the desk next to us... my pink and whites weren't perfect and weren't worth the $110. The $25 pedi I got today was practically a 'drive-by' I heard it was a new place so I gave it a try. The place was pretty empty yet the pedi was quick. The girl kept trying to add on other things, yet those pedis were $60 and up!! The BASIC pedi is quick in water, take polish off, trim, slight cuticle cut, some very watered down scrub/lotion on leg, barely a leg massage, next soap and a hard spongy type thing with a very quick rub on the bottom on the foot. No added cream. 4 hot rocks with a quick rub.....polish...go. Not worth $25 read more

Did a walk in. There's a bit of a smell which is a turn off for me but I went with a friend for convenience so stayed. I got a basic pedicure and she got a green tea pedicure, both of which were more expensive than I usually pay in Flanders for the same services. meh...been a few times, paid $65 (before tip) for a pedicure, after picking OPI (non-gel) polish i was told by owner (after being seated for 10 min) that it was $5 more? (i have never seen a quality salon consider an OPI polish a major upgrade during a $65 SPA MANICURE)...extended "reflexology massage 80% "shin" not "foot" ...and because my feet are crowded the skimpy tissue separator nicked the polish off my big toe on 6ft walk to dryers (pointed out to gentleman who asked about my pedicure and he was like "oh" and gave me a clump of additional tissue (35 years ive never NOT seen someone grab a bottle to spend 20 seconds to grab bottle and reapply) pros: the offer refreshments and i like they time the shin massage ....i mean foot massage. I've been going here for years- always had a good experience. I go about once every 3 weeks for a color gel manicure and almost never make an appointment. I've found everyone to be friendly and all the technicians do a nice job. They soak and lightly buff off the old polish, which is the right way to do it, and they have a lot of OPI gel colors which are my favorite. $30 cash is a great price- give them a try! read more

Clean, friendly and attentive are a few words to describe this centrally-located Chester Salon. I have been extremely satisfied with their products and have never had anything but positive experiences. The pedicures are heavenly and the gel nails I get like beautiful and last forever. Unfortunately, because honesty and integrity are high on my priority list, I have to give this nail salon a huge FAIL! I am not talking about the usual sales pitches we have all come to expect from nail salons. That I can deal with by simply deciding yes or no. When asking about the huge sign outside that said "50% off of gel sets" the nail technician continued to say "yes it is 50% off" until nails were half done, when she decided to throw in that that was "only for high school students going to prom" but that I was lucky because my daughter was getting hers for only $70.00 instead of the usual $80.00. That not only cost the other two technicians who had done our pedicures their good tips, but the salon any hope of my daughter and I ever returning. We were looking for somewhere to go for regular manicures and pedicures. I hope that extra $30-$40 dollars was worth it that day. read more

I tried this salon twice, never again. My main beef is the LACK of cleanliness - everything seemed dirty - the woman's clothes who did my nails had a dirty top on, her nails were dirty, and I had to ask her to change the paper towel, which was wet and dirty! The tables needed cleaning, it was dusty everywhere and there are holes in the wall. I came at lunch time and when I walked in I was hit with a terrible smell - it was a funky meat smell. When you go to a salon, you expect it to be very clean and nice smelling! Then, halfway into the manicure, some of the workers went in the back to heat up their lunch - which was some kind of fish - the entire salon smelled like bad fish. It was disgusting and stressful to smell that odor (I imagined it was going to penetrate my clothes and hair and I would smell like that after the manicure and I had a business meeting to go to right after the manicure). The workers are not very friendly but my main complaint: It is not clean! And it smells bad in there - the place needs a very thorough cleaning and repairs to the walls and a paint job. Tired, old, dirty and smelly and the manicure was not okay - my nails chipped 2 days later. There was only one other woman in there and it was in the middle of the day - I guess most other women in Chester avoid this place too! read more
