The skilled operator put the unit on a smaller platform with wheels and used a remote control to drive the unit down our precarious driveway. I then placed a call to schedule the delivery which was answered by a LIVE person who had just seen my online request. He said "it sounds like you need the container ASAP so if you would like two of them delivered this afternoon we can do that and deliver the other two the following day". And they ACTUALLY followed through on their promise. They were kind, respectful, honest and prompt. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UNITS located in Kent, WA.

My boyfriend moved from SF to Seattle, and found this company potentially under a different name (the contract says Yelp Moving & Storage and it may also be under Simply Moving, there's quite a few links on Ripoff Report - see links below). During our pick up, they increased the quote on the spot by $600 because it was "more than estimated" despite the fact that it indeed matched the quote. We were desperate and they were already in our home, so we reluctantly obliged. Already a red flag. The delivery window was incredibly vague, and it took them an entire month to inform us they were transporting our belongings. There was no communication whatsoever and no set timeframe. My boyfriend had to reach out numerous times just to get a pulse check on our delivery. After an entire month, my boyfriend was contacted by the driver who committed to a 2PM delivery on a Monday. Well, they arrived three hours late, well after 5PM, and my boyfriend essentially missed work a huge chunk of work for no reason at all. Red flag #2. It gets worse. They then demanded the total in cash even though it was never communicated (nor is it in the contract). The driver then threatened my boyfriend saying it would be an additional $500 fee to pay with card. My boyfriend requested he call his boss, Carlos, and read the contract out loud, which states "card accepted." They argued back and forth until Carlos unwillingly gave in. They then tried to run his card, which was apparently one digit off, and couldn't get a hold of the main office because *SURPRISE* it was closed because *they* arrived late. Due to the fact that they were unable / unwilling to take his card, they ended up threatening us with a fee of $500 to re-deliver and left with our things. My boyfriend contacted Tom via email who replied next day (because again, SURPRISE, no one was answering our calls) stating that it was a "slap in the face [for you] to be calling every day about delivery and when we show up you aren't ready" (see screenshot of email). Are you kidding me? First of all, it's YOUR fault for 1) refusing to take card even though the contract says card accepted and 2) arriving late so we're unable to reach you and 3) being vague about the delivery timeframe. Tom then ever-so-pleasantly tells us that he was finally able to charge the card, and charged it with the $500 fee for the inconvenience and to anticipate our belongings arriving Friday. Well, surprise to absolutely no one, the driver calls on Thursday instead, and tells my boyfriend he is delivering the items in two hours. TWO HOURS! My boyfriend then had to rush home from his work to accommodate THEIR schedule. If you're moving and seeking movers, please, please, please- I urge you to find a reputable company. With the headache, the questions, the hidden fees, it's not worth it whatsoever. You don't even save money. A two-man crew took 2 hours to unload 1/2 of 15' trucks with our help while other mover use the…read moresame amount of time and crew size to load the same stuff from 2 locations. It is partially my fault that we are running 1 hour late since we drive all the way from OR which we are willing to pay for the wait time and over time if necessary to complete the job. They greet us with very low energy and bad attitude complaining that they were overworked. There were miscommunication between the mover and dispatcher. So they thought we have 1 pod instead of 15' truck. They almost walk out from the job but we convinced them to stay. As a result, the truck was only half unloaded and I have to hire someone else to complete the job. Sad to have this experience for my first interstate moving but it is a life lesson, I guess.

Of course, after talking about such a move for years, we decided to do it during the pandemic which made everything harder for us. We packed all our boxes ourselves, so hired Kedric to "tetris" everything into our PODS container. Kedric and his team did a great job of communicating with me on pricing, schedule, and services available. Overall communication was excellent. My 16 foot PODS container was not big enough for all my stuff so we had to extend the project to another day to load a second container. Both days, Kedric brought a team of 2 workers. He was good at managing them. Luckily due to the pandemic, Kedric's schedule was open enough to accommodate the second day. Everything was well packed, I guess we'll have to write another review when our new home is complete and we unpack our furniture and goods. Only then will we really know how well it was packed in the PODS. The one thing I wished I'd known was how many blankets were needed for packing around furniture and odd-shaped items like floor lamps. I had a few bedspreads and blankets but had to buy so many from Kedric that it really raised my overall bill. If I had to do it again, I would attempt to buy some lightly used blankets or buy a huge number wholesale. But that's not Kedric's fault, just my ignorance.

He was however more than happy to yell profanities at us and the other movers from his perch when we complained. I should have listened to that voice in my head telling me not to go with these guys. Ah well. They were 4 hours late. They promised me three movers: two people showed up, and only one did any actual work. The other guy stayed in the cab of the truck the whole time. Another guy showed up even later. They still billed me for three movers. They did fine work, I guess, but over billed, and are now refusing to issue me a partial refund when I called them out on it. In order to "make it right", the manager promised me cleaning services at either my new home or old one. After multiple requests, this never happened. Not impressed with this business.
