Located at NEX Norfolk today I finally had a chance to try it out. A simple menu of 4 items, I whined up getting the Bibimbop.. No idea what the heck a Bibimbop is but it looked good! Korean beef marinated and cooked to tenderness over white rice with kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumber, carrots and topped with a fried egg makes this dish superb! But the sauce... It brought it up to another notch! I was very impressed of the dish and if someone was to bring this to me I wouldn't have known it came off a food truck. Oh my goodness, if I could eat here everyday I would. I've eaten here twice now and both times were so freakin' good I can't stand it. The first time I ate here we both ordered the tacos, delicious. One word. FLAVOR! That is what comes to mind from the first bite to the last. I have had the taco combination with 3 different meats (chicken, beef, pork) and the biminbop burrito. So delicious. So much freshness. You can have anything done in just about any style. Bowl, burrito, taco. They have the standard soft drinks and smoothies. The owner is a real gem and as nice as can be. The loss of a star because there is no place to sit. The truck is now on NNSY and you have to walk a ways to get to it and then you have to carry your food all the way back to the office. I am a huge fan of food trucks because they have inexpensive food with a quality preparation. It's also fast and served freshly. I have seen this food truck many times situated across the MacArthur Square Station between City Hall Avenue and Plume Street. The start serving food from 11 am - 2 pm. This is a truck that you absolutely MUST visit and can't afford to miss! Maybe not, but for a quick and easy snack such as taco and burrito it is definitely worth a try. The menu looks promising at this sleek, shiny truck that offers innovative menus, fresh ingredients and chef driven food. In my recent visit, I ordered the spicy pork burrito.Thought it was rich and perfectly well balanced. By itself, it is perfect at filling me up. It's tasty! I enjoyed eating it. I do have to say that the sauce did dominate the palette. I understand it's a "wet" burrito, so maybe this is just my personal preference coming through, but every bite had the cheesy sauce taste to it at some point. After speaking with the restaurant's owner, who, by the way, rode shotgun on their mobile food truck today, I learned she uses organic ingredients and the beef is ALL rib eye beef--no fillers, no tendons or chewy stuff...just substantive flavor. Flavor. Let's pause there for a moment. I'm not sure how one combines thinly sliced rib eye beef, fresh garlic, ginger, onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, kimchi and pickled onion altogether to make this little bit of Korean heaven, but they do it so well that it no longer matters. I always see this food truck park right outside the Navy Exchange in Norfolk and today I finally got around to trying it for lunch. Their menu is small and concise, which I think is exactly the kind of options a food truck should have. Originally I was going to order a lunch special that ran for $9 which was a protein over rice, with two sides excluding a drink. The woman inside recommended me to order the bibimbap for a just a dollar more and is their most popular item. She's a great saleswoman because I ended up listening. The bibimbap wasn't bad at all! I normally love ordering this dish on the hot stone bowl in Korean restaurants, but receiving it on a typical to-go basket was almost just as good. I fell in in love with Korean tacos on a trip to St. Louis. So I saw this food truck and immediately had to stop and try them. I was convinced by the owner to skip the tacos and try the bibimbap. Super tasty, though I was hoping for a bit more spice. ( I LOVE spicy foody) I will be making a return to try the tacos based solely on my previous visit. It was my second time ordering from the food truck at the Norfolk NEX. I felt I would be doing a disservice to them by not writing a review. First , customer service is exceptional. The guy working the counter was really laid back and helpful with any questions I had. I ordered the 3 tacos lunch. Two spicy chicken and one beef. Good. Lord. If you like spicy , it has just the right kick to it. The fresh lettuce & onions on top were a perfect match. I must say my spicy taste buds are not the same compared to others so if you're sensitive to spicy foods , it might be a little much for you. The beef taco was good, nothing to slap your mom over. This lovely food truck came to my hotel (Residence Inn Downtown Norfolk). I ordered the Lunch box with beef but the lady at the counter convinced me to try the Bibimbap (beef) instead for the full Korean experience. Apparently it is the most well known Korean dish. The meat was flavorful, the kimchi was not particularly potent but had good flavor and the bean sprouts/rice/cucumber/carrots/egg all hit the mark. The sauce (gochujang) was spicy but not overpowering. Reasonably priced, very fast, and quite tasty. I'll be posting some pictures of the bibimbap premix, after mix and the menu. Parked out front of the NEX, I thought Seoul 757 would be a better lunch option than the other fast food options inside. There were four menu options to choose from: tacos, a burrito, bibimbop, and a lunchbox. Each included a meat choice: beef, spicy pork, or spicy chicken. I opted for the beef lunchbox which came with kimchi and cucumbers. My meal was just okay. The beef was cooked well, but sweeter than I'm used to and what I would have liked it to be. The kimchi didn't have much, if there was even any at all, flavor. It also was definitely not spicy. The cucumbers were also tasteless, having little flavor to them. I ordered the burrito (sorry no pic), which would compare in size to the well-known mexican burrito made-to-order places. I selected the spicy chicken for my meat. The flavor was ok. The first time I tried them out I ordered the Spicy Pork tacos, they were great but really the Beef Burrito is where it's at. These guys came to my work off and on during the month of June along with some other food trucks. Some seriously good food, folks! I tried the spicy pork tacos, spicy chicken tacos and the Korean BBQ beef burrito! Gave me a great taste of all three meats. I never got a chance to try their Bibimbap, but I heard great things from my co-workers. The flavor of the meat is fantastic. All natural and organic ingredients. They say spicy, but I add Sriracha to mine. For those who don't like hot, these are perfect. Just spicy enough for the sensitive tongued! They make a great slaw for the tacos, too. They have a simple selection from their menu. I went with the bibimbap at the food truck rodeo. It was freezing cold outside! But I was able to enjoy my meal in the car. I truly enjoyed it. It comes with this extra side sauce that is spicy. However, you don't even need that sauce, honestly! The kimchi is spicy itself. If you mix everything in the tray together, it is perfect! I thought the egg would be sunny-side up, as portrayed in the picture. It wasn't, it was fried hard, which I loved and prefer. The reason they're not getting 5 stars from me is because 1. I would've hoped for a bit more meat in my container, and 2. the container was a bit small. I need more room to mix my items. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. Everything balanced each other out. Was able to try out this food truck yesterday while they were parked at Commonwealth Brewing company. Smelled fantastic so it didn't take long to lure me in... First, the good: -The Bibimbap Plate was really good. Good flavor, seemingly fresh ingredients, and a decent value for the amount of food that came with it. I would definitely order it again, and am interested in trying their tacos. Now, the mediocre: -The fried egg with the dish was fried hard; the picture on their menu suggested it was over easy. At worst, they could have asked how I wanted it if they weren't going to serve it like the photo? -I actually ordered the burrito version, and got the plate instead. The man serving said "Hmm, I even wrote down the burrito...not sure why I did that!". It wasn't a huge deal, but the customer focus was a bit off with no apology offered. -There was no receipt for the transaction, or even one offered. Based on the way I track my expenses, would have preferred the paper slip especially after a few beers at Commonwealth. Again, it wasn't even offered at the time of transaction. -Lastly, their menu is very small/limited. Now, the food IS good, but there weren't many options to be had. I realize this is a food truck limitation sometimes, but the menu still seemed smaller than other food trucks. All in all, I'd eat from it again, just hope they can improve their customer service and pay a bit more attention to the orders. read more

Went to Flash Green beer brewery on yesterday (02/25/17) to tryout Seoul 757 Tacos truck. My husband and i was very disappointed with the food. After all of the high rating on Yelp.....Maybe yesterday was a bad day..!!! I had a burritos .....ooooooooooo the burrito.. I would call it a COLD lettuce and cheese burritos ....I couldn't taste any meat....I opened the wrap up and seen about 2 or 3 spoon meat spread out ...a lot of cold lettuces....I put the mess in the trash....my husband had the bowl....he stated, the food was tastless...and we waited 30-45 minutes in line and 22 bucks later .... I heard another couple saying, the was not good....she thought the people prepare the food was inexperience....my food didn't look NOTHING. No. No No No No No. Worst Korean food I've ever had. Had a taco and a burrito at their food truck out on the Ocean Front. Granted neither of these items are legit Korean, but it's often done well with beef bulgogi, kimchi, sesame and soy, sprouts; typical items and flavors found in Korean cuisine. Both items had a minimal amount of meat in them and the meat that was present was tasteless. The tortilla might as well have been out of the reefer section at Harris Teeter's; dry and cold. The rice was more like some bastardized mexican rice mix, once again from Harris Teeter's. Cheddar cheese. Never seen cheddar cheese (or any cheese) used in Korean fusion food and for good reason. And I hate to be the asshole who name drops (cuisine drops???), but I lived south of Korea Town in Los Angeles for several years, so I've had my share of decent korean food. Plus it was a rip-off. Almost $20 for a taco and a burrito, both of which were tiny. Wish I had taken photos for further evidence. Just all around bad. I love food trucks and can't find enough of them in Hampton Roads. I found this one at the NEX Norfolk then tried it again at a brewery opening. I had the chicken soft taco, the chicken burrito and the bibimbap. Fusion food usually isn't my thing but I do like the Korean taco combination. The spicy kimchi actually goes well with the tex-mex flavors of the cheese and meat. Only thing is the tacos are tiny so better order two! read more
