    SPICY PORK BURRITO
    Cris T.

I am a huge fan of food trucks because they have inexpensive food with a quality preparation. It's also fast and served freshly. I have seen this food truck many times situated across the MacArthur Square Station between City Hall Avenue and Plume Street. The start serving food from 11 am - 2 pm. This is a truck that you absolutely MUST visit and can't afford to miss! Maybe not, but for a quick and easy snack such as taco and burrito it is definitely worth a try. The menu looks promising at this sleek, shiny truck that offers innovative menus, fresh ingredients and chef driven food. In my recent visit, I ordered the spicy pork burrito.Thought it was rich and perfectly well balanced. By itself, it is perfect at filling me up. It's tasty! I enjoyed eating it. I do have to say that the sauce did dominate the palette. I understand it's a "wet" burrito, so maybe this is just my personal preference coming through, but every bite had the cheesy sauce taste to it at some point. I would have liked to taste the burrito more, but it was still delicious. Indeed, it was definitely worth to try.

    Bibimbop is the rave.

Perhaps you've heard of Seoul 757 Taco. If you've heard and not been, you are doing your palate a disservice. After speaking with the restaurant's owner, who, by the way, rode shotgun on their mobile food truck today, I learned she uses organic ingredients and the beef is ALL rib eye beef--no fillers, no tendons or chewy stuff...just substantive flavor. Flavor. Let's pause there for a moment. I'm not sure how one combines thinly sliced rib eye beef, fresh garlic, ginger, onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, kimchi and pickled onion altogether to make this little bit of Korean heaven, but they do it so well that it no longer matters. Just take my $9, Seoul 757, and hand over the Korean BBQ burrito. I love you so.

I always see this food truck park right outside the Navy Exchange in Norfolk and today I finally got around to trying it for lunch. Their menu is small and concise, which I think is exactly the kind of options a food truck should have. Originally I was going to order a lunch special that ran for $9 which was a protein over rice, with two sides excluding a drink. The woman inside recommended me to order the bibimbap for a just a dollar more and is their most popular item. She's a great saleswoman because I ended up listening. The bibimbap wasn't bad at all! I normally love ordering this dish on the hot stone bowl in Korean restaurants, but receiving it on a typical to-go basket was almost just as good. The meat was flavorful, the kim chee was great, and the veggies were fresh and crisp. I would definitely stop by again!

    Bibimpop?

I fell in in love with Korean tacos on a trip to St. Louis. So I saw this food truck and immediately had to stop and try them. I was convinced by the owner to skip the tacos and try the bibimbap. Super tasty, though I was hoping for a bit more spice. ( I LOVE spicy foody) I will be making a return to try the tacos based solely on my previous visit. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I have only been there once. I will likely update this after my next trip. I'm excited to eat here again. To Be Continued!!!

It was my second time ordering from the food truck at the Norfolk NEX. I felt I would be doing a disservice to them by not writing a review. First , customer service is exceptional. The guy working the counter was really laid back and helpful with any questions I had. I ordered the 3 tacos lunch. Two spicy chicken and one beef. Good. Lord. If you like spicy , it has just the right kick to it. The fresh lettuce & onions on top were a perfect match. I must say my spicy taste buds are not the same compared to others so if you're sensitive to spicy foods , it might be a little much for you. The beef taco was good, nothing to slap your mom over. Only giving it 4 out of 5 stars because I'm a taco snob. If you happen to see the food truck posted up nearby , hit em' up !

Bibimbap as it comes. Meat of your choice (Beef), Rice, Kimchi, Cucumber, Carrot, Bean Sprouts, and Spicy Gochujang sauce on the side

This lovely food truck came to my hotel (Residence Inn Downtown Norfolk). I ordered the Lunch box with beef but the lady at the counter convinced me to try the Bibimbap (beef) instead for the full Korean experience. Apparently it is the most well known Korean dish. The meat was flavorful, the kimchi was not particularly potent but had good flavor and the bean sprouts/rice/cucumber/carrots/egg all hit the mark. The sauce (gochujang) was spicy but not overpowering. Reasonably priced, very fast, and quite tasty. I'll be posting some pictures of the bibimbap premix, after mix and the menu. Give it a go!

The Spicy Chicken burrito FILLING is great, but the tortilla shell was ginormous! Honestly, I would have been better off just getting it in a bowl. Maybe that could be an option?

Taco Combo : Korean BBQ, Spicy Pork, and Spicy Chicken
    Kat G.

Had the taco combo. Order one of each flavor Korean BBQ, Spicy Chicken, and Spicy Beef. Food was good not amazing but good. I was underwhelmed when they handed me the tacos. The ration of shredded lettuce to meat was way off. I'll probably for them one more chance, but I'm not in a hurry to return

    Holy rockin tacos!

The fried dumplings were great and very flavorful. The rice cake soup was a great portion for the price, I do wish there were more rice cake and less onions. Last time I came it, it was empty. This time me and my mom came hefe on a Saturday night, the restaurant was not full but it was busy! We had to wait for about 30 minutes since we wanted to do bbq (where the grill is installed on the table, and not all tables look like that), but there's no wait if you're not doing bbq. The staff were quick and nice. There are bells next to our table and we can use that bell to ask for service, what a great idea! We ordered Korean pancake with seafood, spicy tofu soup with beef(comes with rice), Galbi (bbq short ribs)(comes with rice), and a grape flavored soju. Just like other Korean restaurants, we were provided with unlimited banchans and salad, and they were all fresh and delicious. The Korean pancake is HUGE. It's also not too much breading but full of leeks and onion, and it was thin and crispy. The Spicy Tofu Soup with beef tasted decent, but I'd like more beef in it. The Galbi was good portion (2 long pieces, 1 small pieces and 2 bones with some meat on) and the marinade tasted good, but I still think $44 is a tad high. The only star was taken off is really the price for the bbq meat. I can see premium protein could be charged higher, but pork, chicken and flat iron steak are some cheaper cut that I personally think is a bit high. I might come back during lunch time to take advantage of their lunch menu tho!

I've been to Grammy Karaoke a few times before, but I've never had a night like the one we had yesterday, and it was entirely because of the STAFF Truly, they made our night. My two friends and I came in pretty late, so there was a bit of a wait, but instead of feeling stuck, we were immediately taken care of at the bar. LOU was amazing; answering all our questions, giving great recommendations, and making us feel welcomed right away. BRYAN was behind the bar making absolutely superb drinks and keeping the energy fun the whole time. Once we got into our room, DANIEL showed us the ropes and completely set the tone for the night. He was friendly, entertaining, and genuinely thoughtful; he even tried to save us money when we were ordering too many drinks by suggesting the soju yogurt drink (which was delicious and clutch). That kind of care really stood out. Throughout the night, JENNIFER and MAE would check in so politely, always making sure not to interrupt the vibe. Jennifer especially was so warm and conversational which made everything feel more personal. Mae even helped us calculate things out when paying at the end which helped ease tensions too! And somehow the amazing service didn't stop there, because even the bathroom experience was memorable. We met NESHA, who made sure we were okay, not too out of it, and somehow managed to make us laugh and have even more fun from such a short interaction. Who knew? At the end of the night, while waiting for our ride and with the place closing in five minutes, instead of rushing us out into the cold, the staff let us sit at the bar and just talk. That ended up being my FAVORITE part of the night. We laughed, chatted, and genuinely felt like we had made new friends. Daniel, Lou, Bryan, Jennifer, Nesha, and Mae--thank you. You didn't just give great service; you created an UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. We left having had the time of our lives and feeling like we'd made real connections. I'll absolutely be coming back to Grammy Karaoke, hoping we'll meet again. I recommend everyone come here; and if you're nervous, new to karaoke, or just want a guaranteed good night, keep an eye out for these staff members. With a team this friendly, accommodating, and FUN, I honestly don't see how anyone could have a bad time.

We fell in love with the place before even getting the food. Which, we got way too much of because the portions are huge. We always try to sample a bit of everything so we had plenty to take home. We had the hot snow onion drumsticks, soy garlic tenders and red pepper gizzards. The gizzards were mostly for me as I enjoy the texture. My kid and wife are not fans lol. The spice level on the red pepper sauce was there but not overwhelming. But the chicken, oh my lord the chicken. The snow onion was an experience I've never had with chicken before. We've had Korean style fried chicken many many times but never like this. I'm not even sure how to describe the flavor. Savory with the sweetness of a good Vidalia onion and a hint of heat. Perfection. The drumsticks were super crispy and super juicy. The soy garlic tenders were also very good. Strong garlic flavor with the umami of the soy glaze. We were also recommended by the nice lady that they just started doing fried rice so we tried it as well. It also did not disappoint. Very flavorful but the kid ate most of it and they're picky. Seriously though I can't recommend this place enough. Please go support this awesome little family. If we're ever in the area again, we will for sure stop back in.
