Since the last time I visited 757 Korean BBQ, the restaurant was being remodeled, and a new menu is being provided, that totally added one more star from my last review! Last time I came it, it was empty. This time me and my mom came hefe on a Saturday night, the restaurant was not full but it was busy! We had to wait for about 30 minutes since we wanted to do bbq (where the grill is installed on the table, and not all tables look like that), but there's no wait if you're not doing bbq. The staff were quick and nice. There are bells next to our table and we can use that bell to ask for service, what a great idea! We ordered Korean pancake with seafood, spicy tofu soup with beef(comes with rice), Galbi (bbq short ribs)(comes with rice), and a grape flavored soju. Just like other Korean restaurants, we were provided with unlimited banchans and salad, and they were all fresh and delicious. The Korean pancake is HUGE. It's also not too much breading but full of leeks and onion, and it was thin and crispy. The Spicy Tofu Soup with beef tasted decent, but I'd like more beef in it. The Galbi was good portion (2 long pieces, 1 small pieces and 2 bones with some meat on) and the marinade tasted good, but I still think $44 is a tad high. The only star was taken off is really the price for the bbq meat. I can see premium protein could be charged higher, but pork, chicken and flat iron steak are some cheaper cut that I personally think is a bit high. My son & grandson were visiting from Brooklyn. Their normal meal rotation includes Korean. Of course Grandma wants to please her guys. After searching my Yelp bookmarks for the folder with my grandson's name (all Korean restaurants) we started checking for spots that were still open on the holiday weekend, would deliver or were relatively close. The only choice we had was 757 Korean BBQ. They were no longer preparing orders for delivery. And my Grandson didn't want to leave the dogs to eat out. So my son picked up our order. I'm so glad this restaurant was our choice! Having an ex-DIL who is Korean, I've dined at a plethora of wonderful Korean Restaurants in New Jersey, Brooklyn & Flushing, Queens. But I've never tasted a Beef Bulgogi BBQ as awesome as the dish I had that night. Even at this moment I can still taste the perfect flavor, seasoning & ingredient quality. Eating it as takeout didn't degrade the quality in the slightest. It probably increased my experience since I like food that has slightly cooled. Perfecto!! We had five who ate that night, each with different choices. All were delighted with their choices. My rating for each is 5 stars. I'm looking forward to eating at 757 Korean BBQ in person. But.... Weird parking lot, not much parking (on a Friday night) and the looks of the outside are a bit rough. Ignore that, because they definitely have authentic, delicious Korean food waiting for you on the inside. I ordered the veggie kim bap (DELICIOUS and tasted just like the kim bap in Korea that I've had) and the veggie fried rice. I asked for extra kimchi and some bulgogi sauce for the fried rice, and it was great! Next time I go, I'll be getting the vegetarian bibimbop. I'm not eating meat right now (just a temporary thing), and they had many options for my dinner. Don't hesitate to go if you're a non meat eater. I will also say the service is okay- they are short staff (as everywhere is), and you hit a button anytime you need service. Located right inside a quiet residential area. Went at lunch time and had kalbi bibimbap and soybean soup. Enjoyed both dishes but the soup was a little watery than the usual but still was good. I used to have troubles parking because they would be so pack beginning Friday night at 5pm. 757 Korean BBQ is one of the place I recommend to people who are new to the area. There's only few places I got to for good korean food or KBBQ. One thing about me is I LOVE KOREAN FOOD, so it is hard for me to find good quality korean food in the area that my friends and I drive all the way to NoVA to get good Korean Food. The ambiance is very traditional / modern korean. K-pop videos playing TV which I dance to while eating LOL and antique korean items by the wall are so beautiful! Their booths for KBBQ are also huge where you can fit 4-6 people and can have lots of plates on the table. Their service is also amazing! they have buttons on the side for you to press when you are ready to place your order or when you need the waiter/waitress. I have met the owner in the past as well and she was a very sweet woman and sometimes have her kids at the restaurant and they are so cute! LASTLY, 757 Korean BBQ serves really good meat quality for their BBQ and the side dishes (banchan) they serve are also on point! My favorite is their Kimchi Soup which I always get especially during sweater weather. They may not be those "all-you-can-eat" type of Korean BBQ, but I will definitely spend a lot of money just to eat a good quality meat in the area. Everything on their menu is great and have not had any issue with their food, from appetizers, to the soup, to their entrees, all the way to their alcoholic beverages, it's 1000/10! Definitely recommend trying their "THE YOGURT SHAKE". It is an alcoholic beverage with yogurt or original soju mixed with korean yogurt drink and sparkling soda. No reservations were required and you can choose to be seated at a table where you can cook yourself (bbq) or simply order and have your cooked items brought to your table. It was every bit of 88+ degrees outside after 5p and I was not trying to sit at a a table and "do it myself" I ordered from the menu for items that were cooked beforehand. I had the spicy beef ramen soup. It had an appealing level of spice without it being overpowering. My bit of unhappiness is the amount of beef that the soup included. It was literally a tablespoon full. No, I wasn't bored or being greedy. I spied with my little eye about 4 small thin slices of beef. It's the same cut that you'd cook on the bbq top. Le Sigh. I've enjoyed Soju in Korea proper and didn't pay that much for it. However, I've discovered that it can cost as much as $15 a bottle; so buyer beware. I chose a new to me soda that contained alcohol called "Tok Tok"...spoiler alert, it was more sweet than anything with a hint of booze. Nice decor and immediately greeted upon arrival. Temperature checks for guests were ongoing during my visit. Seated immediately, we all enjoyed our various dishes. Of note, there are no complimentary refills on soft drinks and sweet tea. A decent dining experience but I'm biased having actually dined in Korea and have high expectations. The price point is higher than a popular place I've gone before and enjoy (*Honeypig) but each eatery deserves its own notoriety. Not wowed but not disappointed in this experience. read more

My only issue is there's only one grill in the center of the table, and you can only cook one persons food at a time. Anybody giving a 1 star review because you have to press a button for service has not been to a real KBBQ place because that is standard fare for them. I was able to check out 757 Korean on a Saturday (8/24/19) for lunch. I went with a couple of friends and I was excited to dine at a spot where you can cook some of your food right at the table (we ordered some appetizers which was prepared by the kitchen staff). So the concept is this - a small grill is set up at your table and, after you order your preferred items, it's all brought to your table and you go ahead and cook. The server will give you some basic instructions on how to use (and not use) the grill, then you're off and running. Cooking utensils are provided and, of course, plates are given out so you can share the food with your party. It's pretty fun as it obviously encourages social interaction and can help determine actual cooking experience. In case you're not down to cook and prefer a trained professional handle your food, there is a regular menu. Considering not every table is equipped for cooking, that is convenient and understandable. In fact, when I spoke with 757's owner she told me the cooking tables fill up quickly during dinner service. So if you're not feeling the "pay to cook" option you may be able to skip the wait and get a regular table immediately. The service is friendly and, as mentioned, they will walk you through the entire process. Also, our server knew the menu so he was happily able to provide explanations for any and all dishes listed. The Saturday we went it was quiet. We were a party of three and we enjoyed the cooking option. For me, I actually relished the opportunity because I used to work in restaurants. And just in case, if you're not sure how much to order, the menu does provide the approximate serving sizes of the combinations listed. It helps, especially if you're with big eaters (like my party was!). 757's food is excellent but this is a place where the experience is just as important. I can't even rap my head around what I experienced. Nothing about this place made me happy. I was so excited for the experience, but was quickly disappointed. If you want multiple cuts of meat you have to continue to pay for each cut. The pricing is off the charts. For two ppl they already add an 18% gratuity. They give you little samples of fermented vegetables and the meat only comes with 2 pieces of onion, bell peppers and mushrooms. There are no free refills in any fountain drinks. Let's not forget that the meat is frozen and unseasoned. We had to ask for salt and pepper and sauce. It did not give what it was supposed to gave and we will not be returning. It's unsatisfying and overrated and overpriced. So I went to this place about a month ago. Literally forgot I went because like I said I did not like it.
