Went to Downtown Disney Sephora because this is the only location nearby. It wasn't as busy for a Saturday night. I got to the counter to pay and mentioned that I wasn't able to collect my birthday reward because my birthday had passed. Isabel at the counter was able to look up my account, verify the information and gave me my birthday reward. She was so amazing and friendly. Her customer service is the best! read more

This is one of my favorite Sephora stores in the US. It is always well-stocked, well lit. I always find what I'm looking for here. I love the selection and the experience of shopping here. Honestly, I am so disappointed in this Sephora location. Yes, it's super busy. I mean hello, it's in Downtown Disney. This location is like a sardine can with a million people crammed in at one time. That's not why this location sucks. This location sucks because you absolutely cannot find anything. The employees are just standing around talking to each other. Warm greeting upon entry, yes. That's where it ended. No need for me to visit this location since I live nearby, but I needed one quick thing that who knows where it was. And because the employees were too busy talking to each other, you can't really get anyone's attention. When yo come in, you are always greeted and later asked if yo need help looking for a specific item. Sometimes I do, and other times I don't I'm just here to browse. They're currently under construction, BUT you are still able to shop the store. New innovation is coming. I love coming in here because well I like makeup. But I also like to see whats new. I also like their moisturizing hand sanitizing sprays. Comes in handy and they all smell lovely! They have a variety of scents. The mini bar is my fave, when you're going to checkout. I guess more of an impulse buy, but sometimes if you have your eye on a larger product but it's new to use, and it's available in the travel mini size, that's the best spot to try out first. One of the best Sephora in OC. They always have everything I needed. Its also one of the busiest Sephora store with the heavy foot traffic. Customer Service is great here even though they are all very busy but they always acknowledge which I love the most. They have collections and new items and if they don't which it didnt happen for me they dont sent you back empty hand so i love this store. Value wise is like other Sephora's in store and i didnt feel different price wise. read more

My wife purchased two Sephora gift cards. I physically watched her pull the gift card out of the cardboard scratch the back and attempt to use it. It said there was a zero balance so I thought this was just a mistake the other gift card she did the same thing and there was a $3.20 balance. I called Sephora and they said I have to dispute it with my bank. What a horrible way to do business stay away from the Sephora gift cards there's a ton of scams. I love the location of this Sephora because there have been so many times that I forgot some makeup item or perfume and I needed it badly while on my Disney trip. The staff here have always been friendly and helpful. Although I don't always find what I need but at least I find something similar. Makeup prices are way too high if you ask me, but I know that is what it is. This location has been clean whenever I have entered. I stopped in yesterday to see if they had bandaids--I hadn't even stepped in the park yet and my feet were blistering (I think due to my feet swelling in pregnancy). Anyway, I was instantly and warmly greeted and Michelle and Janette helped me right away. Janette grabbed me bandaids in the back and Michelle grabbed me little makeup tester sponges and showed me how to put the bandaid around it to cushion my shoe (seriously brilliant). You girls are amazing and quite literally saved my night/anniversary. Thank you so, so much for helping. And I know this isn't makeup/skincare related but if these girls are this kind and helpful to this situation I can only imagine how knowledgeable and skilled they are with everything else in the store. Went in there to look for a present for a friend but was surprised how inattentive the workers were. They're doing some remodeling in there but to walk to get to the actual store I had to walk around the aisles in the front of the store just to get by since two workers are blocking the walkway. Pretty much I was getting frustrated because I couldn't find the item I was looking for, almost all the workers were on their phones, including the two at the front. I was in there for awhile too just searching for the product myself and no one came up to assist and when I was about to ask for assistance they would peek up from their phones and see that I was coming and then slowly walk the other way. Went to the store to purchase a few things with a gift card it was paper & so the numbers in the back were missing & I had to call the actual gift card service and they were absolutely horrible but VANESSA made this visit so much better after that. She was so patient, understanding, and didn't just push me to the side because she saw how upset I was not being able to use a gift card that had a great amount on it. Employees follow you and ask you if you need help so much it's like they expect you to steal something. I had a negative experience with the BA Gladys this afternoon while testing items. Before this was NEVER an issue and the reason I would consider going to Sephora was the ability to test the product before using. I BOUGHT everything I tested. I've been a Sephora customer forever and I'm probably just going to shop online straight from the makeup line or check if Ulta has it first. I'm also a CC holder which means I'll be closing the account. Everyone else was nice. I also almost let it go since my check out experience was great. This location is pretty well kept. I appreciate that it's in Downtown Disney because it's my go-to on the days I only want to go to Downtown Disney and need to spend the minimum $20 to get parking validation. If I'm not hungry enough a restaurant won't cut it because you can't get the minimum on a snack or drink alone. So I'll come here and get something I can use (face mask, lotion, new mascara) etc. Staff are always friendly here as well. read more

HANDS down the BEST customer service I have ever had at ANY Sephora! I was in a wedding last week at Disney and decided to check out Downtown Disney. I am obsessed with Makeup by Mario and wanted to see if this Sephora had any stock. I am confused by all the negative stars because Melissa, Lizzie, and Chels ( sorry if I am missing anyone or misspelled any names) provided AMAZING customer service. I told them exactly what I was looking for and they each took the time to check stock and even brought brand new boxes of shipment for me! The associates at this location are very personable and helpful! Parking tip - It has been over 10 years since my last visit and it has changed a lot! If you park your car you get $10 for 2 hours I believe with a $20 purchase. read more

Unacceptable check-out situation tonight at Sephora in Downtown Disney. Long line to check out, only 2 cash registers going, no stanchions or anything to indicate where a line was supposed to be. Customers asking each other "is this the line?" "Are you in line?" "Where is the line?" with staff doing nothing to help. Line to check out trailed through aisle of merchandise and made it impossible to shop for those items. I waited in a line that didn't move, then put my eyeshadow back on the shelf & walked to the door when an employee asked can I help you and I said no, your lines are too long and I'm leaving. She then offered to check out with her mobile device, so she did. While she was finishing the transaction I noticed there were 3-4 other Sephora staff with mobile phones standing around. Why didn't these staff walk up and down the line of customers waiting to check out and offer mobile check-out to move the line faster? Whoever is managing this store was perfectly happy with a completely untenable situation. Skip this place; they've made it quite difficult to be a customer. read more

Marissa was such an incredible representative of Sephora. I'm impressed with her interpersonal skills and her ability to acknowledge my verbal and nonverbal queues. She's an incredible communicator- I've been to 3 Sephora's this week to buy new make up as it's been ages and so many things have changed. Marissa walked me through so much in a fraction of time I would have spent on the web trying to figure things out. To put the cherry on top when I was ready to check out she offered to check me out then and there with tap to pay so I got to skip the long line. Honestly, I'm so so impressed with Marissa, if I could give her an award I would- for being the nicest and most helpful representative of Sephora I've gotten help from. The location is pretty saturated, I stopped by close to closing on my way out of Disney. A lot of their display items are damaged broken or all out but I imagine it's near impossible to keep them in great condition with the kind of people traffic they get. This is the one and only Sephora that started it all for me! The Downtown Disneyland Sephora was the very first Sephora I visited when I was just 14 or 15 years old. I was completely entranced and star struck, immediately overwhelmed and captivated by the sheer variety of beautiful colors and packages of makeup and fragrances. I think I looked at every single Benefit item and didn't turn away to other sections for at least half an hour. I wanted to learn everything! I was so excited like a child on Christmas morning. I had officially discovered a whole new world, a land of makeup better than anything I could have dreamt. This Sephora will always hold a special place in my heart, and I never miss a visit or a quick photo each time I find myself on this street. Nothing else can compare to that very first visit to sephora. Thank you for giving me such a magical first visit and memory! This store will always be my most favorite. read more

Meh. Today was my birthday, hubby wanted to spoil me with a new fragrance. We were using the paper strips to sample the scents on display, but were told by two workers to keep our mask on. We asked one of them, a girl with red hair and very squeaky voice, how will we be able to smell the perfume then? Her reply was to "hold the sample strip at eye level and above the mask, and I guarantee you will be able to pick up the scent." Lol. Then she said "it's the law." My husband and I were going to walk away, but her tone implied she wanted to scare us with legal terminology. So my husband educated her and told her there is a difference between a mandate, Sephora's policies, and a law that's been introduced by Congress. We're both healthcare workers, we're both vaccinated. We understand droplet precautions, we wear N-95's at work all day. But please... educate your workers on their choice of wording. Also, perhaps this is petty of me, but they ran out of birthday freebies. So I was given two samples instead. Shopping experience was tampered. I took my fiancée here when we were exploring around Downtown Disney. I knew that my fiancée was looking for this 24/7 make up thing but it was sold out from all the stores we visited. When we walked in, we were greeted and they were able to guide us to the right location where the product was.
